Engine is a 302 fully rebuilt, Cam, heads, water and oil pump, rings, gaskets, valves, chrome valve covers, Radiator,Eddinbrock 4 barrel carb, all new. Transmission is rebuilt with all new parts. Engine has 0 miles other than starting and running once in a while.

Transmission is automatic.

Needs new exhaust pipes, interior, very minor body work and paint.

I've spent more on the engine alone than the starting bid!!!

This is the perfect car for someone who wants to do very little work to have a SHOW QUALITY CLASSIC MUSCLE CAR!

ALL ORIGINAL INTERIOR (Dashboard, Seats, Door Panels, etc.)

ALL ORIGINAL EXTERIOR: EXCEPT:
I had a very minor accident where someone bumped my fender, while I was rolling to a stop. The other vehicle was going less than 5 MPH.
I replaced the fender from another Mach 1 and at that time I wanted the air vent hood so I replaced the hood from the same Mach 1 that I got the fender from.

I also backed into a pole and there is a small dent in the back bumper. (Easy, cheap fix).

I took the air condition out when I had the engine rebuilt but you will receive the air condition; just not installed. (I can't guarantee the air conditioner still works as I have no way of testing it).

I've personally owned the car for approximately 20 years. I drove it for about 16 years and had only repainted it with the original Mustang Red that it was already painted until about 5 years ago, I began restoring it. It was stored in a garage and worked on slowly as I put the money into it when I had the money.
As I have other things in my life now that take priority of my money; I've decided to let my "baby" go.

Starts up and sounds great every time I turn the key! I haven't drive it but a few feet on my driveway... Basically zero miles on this beautiful engine.

There is NO RUST on this car!!!

Looking for a good home!!!
This is a fun, fast muscle car!!!

The registration is up to date as it is filed as a non-op. Tags are about $40 a year and it does NOT require smog.

I pay approximately $200 a year for full coverage classic car insurance.

(Please note: rates may be different for your state or you situation; these are not quotes, just giving you information I have.)

It is drivable EXCEPT for the tags.
If you want to drive it away; we could work out registering it before you come to pick it up.

I will accept PayPal or CASH only for payment.

The car is located in Central California (zip:93265).

PICK Up ONLY
WILL NOT SHIP

If you have any other questions or would like to see more photos, please send me a message.

Ford reveals new rapid prototyping and low-volume production techniques [w/video]

Mon, 08 Jul 2013

It's called "F3T," and that stands for Ford Free-form Fabrication Technology. The process that The Blue Oval has developed means being able to sidestep the weeks-long process of tool-and-die making when engineers want to construct a new part, allowing them to fabricate a three-dimensional part from a two-dimensional sheet of metal in just hours.
While F3T is being developed it is limited to "low-volume prototyping or even low-volume niche vehicles," but the next step is to evaluate it for use in Ford's global manufacturing facilities. You can find out more about it in the video and the press release below.

Foreign automakers pay from $38 to $65 per hour to non-union workers

Sun, Mar 29 2015

As leaders for the United Auto Workers gather in Detroit for their Special Convention on Collective Bargaining to work out the negotiating stance for this year's new labor agreements with the Detroit 3 automakers, what they most want to do is figure out how to eliminate the two-tier wage scale. However, the lower Tier 2 wage has allowed the domestic automakers to reduce their labor costs, hire more workers, and compete better with their import competition. As it stands, per-hour labor rates including benefits are $58 at General Motors, $57 at Ford, and $48 at Fiat-Chrysler – a reflection of FCA's much greater number of Tier 2 workers. The Center for Automotive Research released a study of labor rates (including benefits) that put numbers to what the imports pay: Mercedes-Benz pays the most, at an average of $65 per hour, Volkswagen pays the least, at $38 per hour, and BMW is just a hair above that at $39 per hour. Among the Detroit competitors, Honda workers earn an average of $49 per hour, at Toyota it's $48 per hour, Nissan is $42 per hour, and Hyundai-Kia pays $41 per hour. The lower import wages are aided by their greater use of temporary workers compared to the domestics. Automotive News says the ten-dollar gap between those foreign camakers and the domestics turns out to about an extra $250 per car in labor, which adds up quickly when you're pumping out many millions of cars. That $250-per-car number is one that, come negotiating time, the Detroit 3 will want to reduce, as the UAW is trying to raise both Tier 1 and Tier 2 wages. Another wrinkle is that the domestic carmakers are considering the wide adoption of a third wage level lower than Tier 2. Some workers who do minor tasks like assembling parts trays kits and battery packs already make less than Tier 2, but the UAW will be quite wary about cementing yet another wage scale at the bottom of the system while it's trying to fight a bigger battle at the top. Ford Fiesta ST orders off to strong start

Fri, 17 May 2013

We at Autoblog love the new little Ford Fiesta ST, and apparently, folks in Europe are pretty impressed with it, as well. According to Ford, the automaker's European arm has already logged 3,000 orders for the new hot hatch since it hit dealerships this March. The US-spec car, which will only be available as a five-door, will go on sale in the United States this summer.
What's perhaps most interesting about the Fiesta ST ordering is that the majority of customers appear to be ordering high-spec cars. According to Ford data, 60 percent of customers have opted for the leather interior with Recaro buckets, and 90 percent have selected the upgraded 17-inch wheels (seen on our test car, above). Spirit Blue has been the most popular color, commanding 27 percent of all orders. As for the technology upgrades, 19 percent of customers have ponied up for the Sony stereo with navigation.
To recap, the Fiesta ST is offered with Ford's 1.6-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine, putting out 179 horsepower and 177 pound-feet of torque, mated exclusively to a six-speed manual transmission. We had an absolute blast flinging the hot Fiesta through the French Alps, and we can't wait for this sharp little hatch to make its way over to the States.
