Here is a great convertible for a daily driver or a great one to fully restore.Im selling this for a customer of mine.(We are Mustangs & More in Merriam Kansas, look us up)The car is fully functional. You could drive his car anywhere, right now.Very mechanically sound. It has a few minor drips here and there.(check the pictures out)For the most part, this car is a good 85%-90% original. It has had a new top put on and it has had some paint work done.It was hit in the left rear corner of the tail light panel(very lite hit, look at the pics)There is only a little rust in the trunk drops on the edges.Other than this it almost rust free. The structure on the underside is incredible! The torque boxes, floor supports, floors, toe pans, inner and outer rockers, rear frame rails, rear torque boxes etc... are just awesome! you dont see a convertible in this good of shape very often. All the interior is in great shape and original. It may have had the carpet replaced at one time, but not sure.It may still have the build sheet under the carpet! This car was garaged most of its life. The engine is very strong and runs great!.The ac does not work right now.The engine compartment has no rust! The tops of the aprons(where they all rust) is all good!Look at all the pictures. It is a 351c,3 speed manual with drum brakes,9 inch rear end.If you have any questions please email me and i will answer them as best as possible. Please feel free to make an offer on the car.As nice as this car is i dont think it will last long.Good luck and happy bidding!!

FBI investigating recently fired Ford engineer for espionage
Fri, 25 Jul 2014Agents of the FBI are investigating a potential case of industrial espionage involving a recently fired Ford employee. The Dearborn, MI-based manufacturer had its world headquarters searched by FBI agents on July 11, and according to The Detroit News, had warrants to seize recording devices handed over to Ford by Sharon Leach, a now-former Ford engineer.
Leach, who had spent 17 years with the Blue Oval, was fired last month, after Ford Security relieved her of eight Sansa listening devices. The FBI got involved shortly after her dismissal, searching her home on June 20 and seizing some two dozen items, including computers, jump drives and financial records, according to warrants obtained by The News.
Ford has remained quiet on the matter, with spokeswoman Susan Krusel confirming that the automaker was working with the FBI as part of a "joint investigation," while declining to provide any additional details.
Crowdsource funding push on to save historic Ford buildings
Thu, 22 Aug 2013Detroit has no shortage of old, abandoned buildings, both within the city and in the surrounding communities. Few, though, have the historical significance of the old Ford Highland Park facility. Home to the very first moving assembly line, Highland Park was designed by the legendary Albert Kahn, and was one of the homes of the Model T.
Now, the Woodward Avenue Action Association is attempting to buy both the 40,000-square-foot admin building, which is located off the historic Woodward Avenue, and an 8,000-square-foot garage. The WAAA's goal is to convert the buildings into an automotive heritage center. The Detroit News spoke to the interim director of the WAAA, Deborah Schutt, who commented, "[Metro Detroit has] not been very good at telling our own story. So we've decided, let's pull everything together and tell our story."
The WAAA made an offer of $550,000 to buy the two buildings, and has $400,000 from the Michigan Department of Transportation and another $15,000 from the Michigan Economic Development Corporation. It's trying to raise a further $125,000 through crowd-sourcing, starting a campaign called "Five Dollars A Day," after old Hank Ford's $5-per-day wage for line workers.
Preposed class-action lawsuit targets 'defective' MyFord Touch
Tue, 16 Jul 2013A national law firm, Hagens Berman Sobol Shapiro LLP, has filed a proposed class action lawsuit whose presupposition is that MyFord Touch is defective. Specifically, the complaint states that the system - as well as the MyLincoln Touch and MyMercury Touch clones - often freeze, fail to respond to voice or touch commands and have issues connecting to mobile phones.
According to Hagens Berman managing partner Steve Berman, MyFord Touch is a theoretically "brilliant idea" that falls short in actual execution. Said Berman in a press release, "In reality, the system is fundamentally flawed, failing to reliably provide functionality, amounting to an inconvenience at best, and a serious safety issue at worst."
Other MFT issues enumerated within the 41-page filing include problems controlling the window defroster, rear-view camera and navigation system. The suit maintains that Ford is aware of the problem but has yet to submit a workable and acceptable solution to MFT customers. Scroll down if you'd like to read the full press release.
