1970 Ford Mustang on 2040-cars
Fresno, California, United States
If you have more questions or want more details please email : otisoccynova@clubmercedes.net . Hello everyone,
I am selling my 1970 Boss 302 Mustang, which I have owned now for six years. in the hopes of finding a well
intentioned and knowledgeable buyer that appreciates the car and wants to give it a good home.
I have listed the important features and numbers that will clearly show that this car is fully equipped and not
missing many of those important, hard to find, and costly parts. In addition, the car has many unique pieces such
as an installation of early 1970 build Metuchen engine parts, an original and functioning Boss 302 Rev Limiter,
complete and correct smog system installation, and AM 8-Track Stereo.

Valve Cover Drip Rails: (not installed)
Note: Early Metuchen Boss 302 build.
Documented up to Oct 17, 1969 build date with chrome valve covers and blue smog canisters. There may be some
later, but at least that late. This same build date group seemed to all have black valve cover oil breather caps
and the elevated oil sending bracket, regardless of power steering, gauge or tach option. In other words, they all
seemed to have received that set up regardless of a warning light sensor or the bell shaped remote sending unit
being installed.
Research on these facts has been documented by Donald Farr in his book, other Mustang restoration publications, and
by several Boss 302 Registry members including Douglas Monroe (AKA: fatboy).
I have worked to incorporate these unique details, along with many other Metuchen plant assembly line differences
to make this a truly one-of-a-kind car that any collector would be proud to own.

To describe this car, I would use the term "Concours Driver". This Boss is not a trailer queen by any stretch. I
have driven it to all my Cruise Nights with my car club and to many local area car shows throughout San Diego
County.
In addition, I have taken the car on invitation to Mustang oriented car shows at Ford dealers all the way North to
Thousand Oaks, twice to Santa Margarita, and twice to Knott's Berry Farm's "Fabulous Fords Forever" car show. The
car has also been on display twice in the Mustang Corral at the San Diego International Auto Show.
Wherever this Boss is on display, it is appreciated. The car has won many awards and trophy's from venders,
sponsors, and by peoples choice.
This Boss will not disappoint you! Thank you for your attention.

Ford's Mulally now said to be in lead for Microsoft CEO job
Sun, 29 Sep 2013There have been rumors that Ford CEO Alan Mulally could assume the top job over at Microsoft, whose CEO, Steve Ballmer, will retire within the year. Mulally hasn't come out and said that he's considering moving to Microsoft after (or before) his contract with Ford through 2014 ends, but sources in the know say he's the front-runner to become the tech giant's CEO and has opened up to the idea more in recent weeks, AllThingsD reports.
Mulally is no stranger to Washington, where Microsoft is located, having worked in the state for Seattle-based Boeing Commercial Airplanes as CEO years ago. He also recently was an adviser to Ballmer in an effort to realign the company's management structure to help it become more competitive in a fast-changing computer hardware and software market. And when Ford developed its Sync digital interface, it tapped Microsoft to provide the operating system, Microsoft Auto. Perhaps the least crucial connection - but nonetheless an important one - is that Mulally still owns a house in the Seattle area, and it's been said he wants to return there, according to AllThingsD.
A main challenge Microsoft's next CEO will face is how to manage the company's numerous, fractured operations and, eventually, streamline them. But even on this front, Mulally has experience; after all, it was he who ushered in an era of global Ford vehicles, after the automaker had become complacent developing and selling vehicles by region leading up to the economic recession of 2008-2009.
Ford only automaker to make 2012 Buzz Rankings, Toyota most improved
Wed, 30 Jan 2013Ford landed itself a spot among the top 10 brands in the 2012 Buzz Rankings. The annual index scores 1,100 brands in 41 categories to determine which nameplates had the most positive buzz throughout the year.
For the third year in a row, Subway took the top honors overall with a score of 40.3, and Ford was the only automaker to break into the top 25 by earning a sixth-place finish overall. The manufacturer earned a score of 32.1 points, which was enough to push it up one spot from the 2011 Buzz Rankings. Honda managed 21.2 points overall, which is still well behind 25th-place Kohl's at 26.5 points. Toyota, Volkswagen and BMW all round out the top five automakers.
The 2012 Buzz Rankings also keep track of which brands improved the most over the past year, and this year, Toyota was the manufacturer with the largest leap forward. The Japanese automaker jumped from just 14 points in 2011 to 20.5 in 2012. Chrysler, Kia, Dodge and Volkswagen all saw sizable steps forward as well. Autoblog editors choose their favorite racecars of all time
Thu, Feb 26 2015If you like cars, there is a good chance that you like racecars. There's something about the science and the art of going faster, of competition, of achievement, that accelerates the hearts of enthusiasts. It doesn't matter the series, the team or the manufacturer there's something about racing that stirs emotions and lifts spirits. It's that way with many of you, and it's that way with our editors. With that in mind, we offer a list of our favorite racecars of all time. Of course, we'd like to hear some of yours in the comment section below. 1970 Porsche 917 Compared to some of the obscure choices by my colleagues, I feel like the Porsche 917 is almost so obvious a pick as to not be worth mentioning. Still, when coming up with my answer, my mind invariably went back to this classic racer Β specifically in its blue-and-orange Gulf livery Β while watching Le Mans on DVD and later Blu Ray with my dad. Long, low and curvaceous, few vehicles have ever looked sexier lapping a track than the 917. More than just a pretty face, this beauty had speed, too, thanks to several tunes of flat-12 engines over the course of its racing life. In the early '70s, Porsche was a dominant force throughout sports-car competition, and the 917 (shown above at the 1970 24 Hours of Daytona) was the tip of that spear, including back-to-back victories in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Largely without dialogue or really much of a traditional plot, Le Mans is like a tone poem of racing goodness. While the 917's importance to motorsports history is undoubtedly fascinating, it's still this cinematic depiction of the Porsche racer that draws me in most, especially with the volume cranked. Β Chris Bruce Associate Editor 1964 Mini Cooper S How could everyone not be selecting the 1964 Mini Cooper S piloted by Paddy Hopkirk and Henry Liddon? That car, 33 EJB, took the first of British Motor Corporation's four Monte Carlo Rally wins (it should have been five, but French judges got the British Minis [and Fords] disqualified on a technicality regarding headlights... which its own car, the winning DS, was also in violation of). The tiny red car and its white roof beat out Ford Falcons, Mercedes-Benz 300SEs and scores of Volvos, Volkswagens and Saabs. This, along with the several years of dominance that followed, cemented the idea that not only could the tiny, two-tone Mini be a real performance vehicle, but that family-friendly city cars in general could be fun.
