You are bidding on a 1969 ford mustang Mach 1, with a 351W v8, FMX auto trans, and a 9 inch rear, the car is factory red with the black out hood, mach 1 chin and rear spoilers, hood scoop, also a flip down gas cap, a cool option, mach 1 deluxe interior wood grain dash and clock, high back bucket seats and red insert carpet (factory mach 1). center line wheels with white letter tires, duel exhaust and headders, 4 barrel holley carb and street master intake, the car was a factory power steering car. also the GT on the buck tag indicates GT suspention on the car, most mach 1s came with this option. 63C on the buck tag indicates the mach 1 option for 69.

The body on the mustang is pretty solid, floors are good and frames are solid, the small spot on the rear frame that i showed in the video has been repaired with new metal welded into place. the car has new torque boxes and the front frames are solid and strong along with the approns in the engine bay, the body has scratches and dents, and the doors have rust on the bottom sides and i would replace them, needs a paint job. the passenger side headlight bucket is cracked i have a good one that comes with the car.

The mach 1 starts up and runs good, has a new rebuild on the carb, new plugs and wires, new starter, cylinoid, and alt. belt, the trans seems to work well and the brakes all work, all the wheel cylinders have been rebuilt the car stops pretty well.  The fastback runs and moves around under its own power, and stops well. all that being said the mach 1 deserves a full restoration and to be taken to her full glory of one of the greatest American Muscle cars around.

bid to buy, check out the videos, email me questions I'd be happy to talk with you.

We head back to CES in Las Vegas to check on the progress of autonomous vehicles in 2014. We go hands-free on the highway with Audi, narrowly avoid a collision with Ford and hear all about BMW's drifting driverless car. But first we take a ride on Induct's self-driving Navia shuttle.

Weekly Recap: Hackers demonstrate auto industry's vulnerability

Sat, Jul 25 2015

There's always been a certain risk associated with driving, and this week cyber security came into focus as the latest danger zone when researchers demonstrated how easily they could hack into a 2014 Jeep Cherokee from across the country. The incident raised concerns over the vulnerability of today's cars, many of which double as smartphones and hot spots. During the now-infamous experiment, Chris Valasek and Charlie Miller infiltrated the Jeep's cellular connection and were able to control the infotainment system, brakes, and other functions. The hackers told the Jeep's maker, FCA US, of their findings last year, the company devised a software fix. Though Valesek and Miller hacked a Cherokee (like the one shown above), several FCA products, including recent versions of the Ram, Grand Cherokee, Dodge Durango, and Viper were also affected, illustrating potentially wide exposure that could reverberate across the sector. "For the auto industry, this is a very important event and shows that cyber-security protection is needed even sooner than previously planned," Egil Juliussen, senior analyst and research director for IHS Automotive, wrote in a research note. "Five years ago, the auto industry did not consider cyber security as a near-term problem. This view has changed." Hours after the Cherokee hacking incident was publicized on Tuesday, Sens. Ed Markey (D-Mass) and Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn) introduced legislation to direct the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and Federal Trade Commission to establish national standards for automotive cyber security. The bill also would require vehicles to have a cyber-rating system to alert consumers how well their cars' privacy and security are defended. "Drivers shouldn't have to choose between being connected and being protected," Markey said in a statement. "We need clear rules of the road that protect cars from hackers and American families from data trackers." Though FCA and its Jeep Cherokee were in the spotlight this time, they were just the latest to showcase how automotive technology has advanced faster than safety and regulatory measures. IHS forecasts 82.5 million cars will be connected to the internet by 2022, which is more than three times today's level. "Cyber-security will become a major challenge for the auto industry and solutions are long overdue," Juliussen said.

Here's what it's like to drive the very first Ford Mustang cop car

Thu, Jan 29 2015

As we recently discovered, there's something different about driving a police car. That's true whether you're talking about a modern Dodge Charger Pursuit or, yes, the legendary Ford Mustang SSP. Former Autoblog staffer and current Road and Track web editor Zach Bowman discovered this when he shanghaied a 2015 Mustang GT and made the trip to Nashville, TN to drive the very first Mustang SSP police car. The two-tone, V8-powered prototype was delivered into the welcoming arms of the California Highway Patrol back in 1981 for evaluation. Bowman chatted up cop-car aficionado Mike Strinich, the prototype's current owner, and managed to score some seat time in the car, which provided a unique interesting contrast to the SSP's 435-horsepower junior. Head over to R&T for the complete read.
