Cleveland, Ohio, United States
Engine:302
For Sale By:Private Seller
Drive Type: 4 speed
Model: Mustang
Mileage: 999,999
Trim: Fastback
Up for bidding is a tired old horse. She was originally a straight 6 sportsroof but has since been changed over to a V8. It has V8 5 lug spindles and front suspension, also has a 69, 8 inch 5 lug rear end. I just don't have the time to restore her so I'm putting her up for auction. She's pretty rough needs new floor pan, front tip frame rails and the trunk pans replaced, very rusty but the rear frame rails are good. The roof is dented but solid, fenders have rust on bottom and so do the quarter panels, doors are rusted on bottom. The rear taillight panel needs replaced too. The aprons and the firewall have some rust. The car still has the lower dash, all wiring and all steering components. The buckets are still in it. It was converted to a 4 speed and the pedals are still in it. There is an old 302 block with flywheel in it but no transmission. The door glass is there but the rear windows are missing and the windshield is cracked bad. Car is a roller. Comes with clean Ohio title (correct straight 6 fastback title, matching the dash tag)
I will help load this Mustang but it's the buyers responsibility to trailer or tow away. If you want it delivered within 100 miles of the Cleveland area we can negotiate a fee to do so.
Good Luck !
Thanks for Looking !
If you are looking to completely rebuild a fastback from scratch, contact me, I have a completely rusted away 69 fastback with 302 V8 auto trans. and good Ohio title, door and dash tags too.

Ford EcoBoost smashes records at Daytona
Thu, 10 Oct 2013Some mighty machines have lapped the banks of the Daytona International Speedway over the years: thunderous V8-powered stock cars, Le Mans-conquering Group C prototypes, open-wheel Champ Cars, knee-dragging superbikes... heck, the infield lake has even hosted powerboat racing. But this - this is the fastest car ever to lap the legendary raceway.
What you're looking at is the new Daytona Prototype being prepared by Riley Technologies for the new United SportsCar Championship. The car, released just last week, is powered by a new 3.5-liter turbocharged V6 from Ford's EcoBoost family, and just obliterated the top speed at the track with a blistering 222.971 miles per hour through the traps.
That's enough to annihilate the previous record that was set, also under Ford power, by Bill Elliott while placing his Thunderbird on pole for the 1987 Daytona 500 that he would go on to win. His 210.364 mph record had stood for 26 years until now.
Ford's J Mays feels vindicated by Fusion reception
Tue, 25 Sep 2012It's hard to think back now, but the same man overseeing the design of the 2013 Ford Fusion also presided over a rather lackluster period in Ford design, highlighted by vehicles like the Five Hundred and Freestyle. With the redesigned Fusion receiving high praise, J Mays tells Automotive News that he feels vindicated from criticisms suggesting he's not a daring enough designer.
When Mays took over as lead of design in 1997, he admits to having quite an ego ("My head would barely fit through the door some days. I've long since gotten over myself") and the workload to match. With the Blue Oval's portfolio full of premium brands like Aston Martin, Jaguar, Land Rover and Volvo at that point, along with the bread-and-butter Ford, Lincoln and Mercury models, Mays certainly had quite the challenge.
It was in the mid-2000s that Mays took over just the premium brands, and took on the new title of Chief Creative Officer. At the time, Mays endured some criticism for looking backwards to retro styling, rather than setting a new standard for American car design - criticism that Mays says he is free from with the all-new Fusion.
2014 Ford Fiesta ST priced from $21,400* [w/poll]
Tue, 26 Feb 2013The 2014 model year brings a whole host of changes to Ford's Fiesta B-Segment fighter, the most important of which (to our enthusiast eyes, anyway) is the addition of a potent new ST model. The US-spec hot hatch was first shown at the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show last November, and thanks to Ford's build-and-price site, we've now learned that the Fiesta ST will slide in at $21,400 when it goes on sale later this year (*not including $795 for destination).
Under the hood of the ST is a turbocharged 1.6-liter EcoBoost inline-four good for 197 horsepower and 214 pound-feet of torque, mated solely to a six-speed manual transmission. Ford hasn't released performance data on its pint-sized puncher just yet, but know that these numbers make the Fiesta ST ever-so-slightly more powerful than the larger Volkswagen GTI while returning an estimated 34 miles per gallon on the highway.
Elsewhere in the lineup, the standard Fiesta also gets a smattering of improvements for the 2014 model year, including a new 1.0-liter three-cylinder turbocharged engine and revised exterior styling. Pricing for the 2014 Fiesta sedan starts at $14,000, with the five-door model adding $600 to that number (again excluding the $795 destination fee).
