1968 Ford Mustang Fastback GT with 4 Speed Transmission, Nice straight rust free car, 3 owner car and the former owner owned the car for over 20 years and recently restored. The car was born with Lime Gold with black stripe and black out hood treatment. He decided to change to a beautiful candy apple red with white stripe. He also added the Shelby scoop on hood that is functional. Interior is black and in great conditon. All interior and guage cluster lights work. The original J Code 302 engine recently rebuilt with many performance upgrades including a new Holley carb. The engine runs very strong and reliable with 4 speed transmission that shifts great. The original rearend was rebuilt and changed to positraction with a 3.25 gear. The underside of the car is in great condition. Marti report shows that only 4,320 cars were produced with this engine and transmission. Please call Ryan at 205-427-6163 with any questions or to set up time to inspect. Ford begins testing right-hand-drive Mustang
Wed, 20 Aug 2014Ford has officially kicked off testing of the right-hand-drive variant of its sixth-generation, 2015 Mustang, according to a statement issued by the company, which came with the above photo.
According to Ford, this will mark the first time a right-hand-drive 'Stang has traveled down the company's assembly line alongside its LHD brethren. It is far from the first of the legendary pony cars to feature its wheel on the wrong side, though, as converters in RHD markets across the globe have been making swaps for years.
Ford is planning on using the white, droptop Mustang for RHD development ahead of the car's arrival in the UK, Australia and South Africa, among other markets. Scroll down for the official press blast.
Chip Ganassi Racing switches to the Ford EcoBoost-powered Riley Daytona Prototype
Wed, 06 Nov 2013Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates (CGRFS) announced yesterday at Ford's SEMA press conference that it will field a Ford-Riley Daytona Prototype with the 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 in the 2014 United SportsCar Championship (USCC). CGRFS is the second team to commit to the new Ford-Riley car, behind Michael Shank Racing (which has already used the racecar to break a 26-year-old top-speed record at Daytona International Speedway).
"Over the last 10 seasons we have been able to experience a great deal of success in Grand-Am," Chip Ganassi says, "and now with the dawn of the new United SportsCar Championship we feel that Ford power will be a key ingredient to writing the next chapter of our sports car program."
In the last Grand-Am season, CGRFS raced a BMW-Riley Daytona Prototype. The team has won seven Daytona Prototype championships, all in the past ten years. Scott Pruett and Memo Rojas return as the team's prototype co-drivers, and will attend their maiden race in the Ford-Riley at the Rolex 24 at Daytona in January.
Ford gets its Movement on, releases 'Sounds of Focus' tracks
Sun, 25 May 2014Ford has, for at least the second year in a row, teamed up with techno promoter Paxahau and a couple of artists to make music in recognition of the Detroit Movement music festival. This time, Movement performers Ataxia and Secrets were selected by Ford, and were invited to spend some time at the automaker's Michigan Assembly Plant, which gives birth to the Ford Focus and Focus Electric models.
Now that we know the what, how about the why? According to Ford, "Detroit is uniquely tied to the origins of the electronic music scene. In the 1980's variations of electronic music stemmed from inspirations of industry, including the automotive sector." So, there you go.
