1968 Mustang Shelby Eleanor GT350 Convertible Roadster with Removable Fastback Roof

My name is John.  Please call me at 801-680-8447 with any questions

This is a beautifully restored example of 1968 Mustang  It runs great, drives great, looks great, and the attention it gets is extreme!

No Disappointments: This Mustang is a great investment and a fun car to drive and enjoy. From the engine compartment to the trunk and everywhere in between, this is a clean car.

The following will be a description of each area of the car, being as in-depth and accurate as possible. Please keep in mind that this is a classic car that is over 46 years old, and although I will describe everything as best I can, some small items may have been overlooked.

BODY:

As you can see from the photos, this Mustang has an absolute gorgeous body.  The car was professionally painted in the silver metallic that you see now. A high-quality prep and application was professionally performed. The underside is just as clean, with great frame rails, strong torque boxes and undercarriage.   The panels on this car show great fit and are straight.  The car has no soft top.  The removable roof comes off in 2 minutes for that roadster look.

INTERIOR:

  • The interior is also professionally restored with all new soft trim including:

  • Upholstery

  • Dash Pad

  • Door Panels

  • Headliner

  • Carpeting:

  • ENGINE / MECHANICS:

The 302EFI engine has gobbs of power and is a blast to drive on the freeway or around town.  The C4 automatic transmission shifts nicely as it should.  The car runs strong and fast.

  • Coys Custom Torque Thrust Wheels

  • Front Drum Brakes Rear Drum Brakes

  • Power Steering

  • Power Brakes

  • Fuel Injected

  • This Mustang starts at the flick of the key and runs strong and smooth.  The car tracks straight and brakes straight, has good steering response and a nice ride. The C4 transmission shifts very responsive and smooth. The engine compartment is clean, and detailed. Front drum brakes and rear drum brakes.  Suspension and is firm and responsive to the touch.  The car runs and drives fantastic.  Fly in and drive home this mechanically sound automobile.

TRUNK:

The trunk area is very clean, detailed, and looks great. There is not even a hint of rust.  No issues here, the pictures of the car speak for themselves.

OVERALL:

The car of course gets lots of looks, it's really what I'd call the perfect collector car: a super desirable 1968 Mustang.  This car is mechanically sound and runs fantastic.  The title is free and clear in my hand.

J Mays retiring from Ford design, succeeded by Moray Callum

Tue, 05 Nov 2013

Ford's highly influential head of design, J Mays, has announced that he'll be retiring from his position after 33 years in the industry, 16 of which were at the Dearborn, MI-based company. Upon departure, he'll be succeeded as group vice president of design by Moray Callum. If that last name sounds familiar, yes, he's the brother of Jaguar's Ian Callum.
It's difficult to explain just how big of a role Mays had on not just Ford's design over the years, but on the entire industry. Before heading to Dearborn, Mays worked for Audi, BMW and then Volkswagen, where he was involved in concept cars that paved the way for design icons like the first-generation Audi TT and the Volkswagen New Beetle. As for his Ford resume, it's extensive.
Mays joined the company in 1997 as design director for Ford, Lincoln, Mercury and Mazda, as well as the Premier Automotive Group (Volvo, Land Rover, Jaguar and Aston Martin). He was heavily involved in the Ford Fusion, Focus, Fiesta, Taurus, F-150 and Mustang, while also contributing to concept cars like the Atlas, Evos, 427, Forty-Nine, Shelby GR-1, Lincoln MKZ and the MKC.

Ford E-Series chassis cabs and cutaways to survive mass Transit onslaught

Fri, 18 Apr 2014

In March 2013, Ford announced we'd be getting chassis cab and cutaway versions of the Transit. Since incoming Transit vans will soon be rolling over the grave of the E-Series van, it was assumed that all E-Series models would go six feet under as well. According to a report from PickupTrucks.com, however, that's not the case, the report claiming that the highly modifiable E-350 and E-450 chassis cab and cutaway versions will continue being produced in Avon Lake, Ohio "at least until 2020."
Being decades old, the be-cabbed E-Series platform has found its way under an army of heavy-duty shuttle buses, work truck and ambulances. Ford spokeswoman Jessica Enoch verified the production horizon, telling Autoblog that the particular E-Series configuration "are a higher GVWR than the Transit chassis cab and cutaway (available this summer), which is more Class 2 and a new segment for us." So there you have it.

2015 Ford Mustang leaked in Autoweek

Tue, 03 Dec 2013

We would have to imagine that Ford knew it couldn't keep its 2015 Mustang under wraps for too long, and with only days to go before the pony car's official unveiling, the dam seems to be cracking. SVTPerformance.com member Screamin 40th just posted some images taken of the sixth-gen Mustang prominently featured in and on the cover of the December 9 issue of Autoweek magazine.
These images show that recent renderings we saw weren't too far off. The face is just like what we saw in spy shots a few months back, but the rear of the car features some of its more striking cues. Starting with the pronounced haunches and hidden B-pillars, the rear view of the new Mustang might be its best with the ridged, three-bar taillights, a rear diffuser and the lack of a faux gas cap, which allows the galloping pony to be an even more prominent element against the black trim.
The images also reveal a small portion of the updated interior carrying over retro themes like the deep-dish steering wheel and dual-gauge instrument cluster, but it also adds some modern tech with a big infotainment displays and a clean center stack layout. No official word on powertrain or other specs, but while we can't make out most of the magazine's text, our eyes did catch mentions of an independent rear suspension and a 200-pound weight reduction.
