1968 Mustang Shelby Eleanor GT350 Convertible Roadster with Removable Fastback RoofMy name is John. Please call me at 801-680-8447 with any questionsThis is a beautifully restored example of 1968 Mustang It runs great, drives great, looks great, and the attention it gets is extreme! No Disappointments: This Mustang is a great investment and a fun car to drive and enjoy. From the engine compartment to the trunk and everywhere in between, this is a clean car. The following will be a description of each area of the car, being as in-depth and accurate as possible. Please keep in mind that this is a classic car that is over 46 years old, and although I will describe everything as best I can, some small items may have been overlooked. BODY:As you can see from the photos, this Mustang has an absolute gorgeous body. The car was professionally painted in the silver metallic that you see now. A high-quality prep and application was professionally performed. The underside is just as clean, with great frame rails, strong torque boxes and undercarriage. The panels on this car show great fit and are straight. The car has no soft top. The removable roof comes off in 2 minutes for that roadster look. INTERIOR:
The 302EFI engine has gobbs of power and is a blast to drive on the freeway or around town. The C4 automatic transmission shifts nicely as it should. The car runs strong and fast.
TRUNK:The trunk area is very clean, detailed, and looks great. There is not even a hint of rust. No issues here, the pictures of the car speak for themselves. OVERALL:The car of course gets lots of looks, it's really what I'd call the perfect collector car: a super desirable 1968 Mustang. This car is mechanically sound and runs fantastic. The title is free and clear in my hand. J Mays on the 2015 Ford Mustang
Thu, 05 Dec 2013J Mays, head of design at Ford, may be retiring from the company after 16 years, but not before showing the world his swan song: the 2015 Mustang. Ford officially revealed its new coupe and convertible to the public at events around the world on Thursday, including a live unveiling on ABC's Good Morning America, and Mays was in attendance at the automaker's home event in Dearborn, MI, which is where we caught up with him for a few words about his new baby.
"It's a joy" to design the Mustang, Mays told Autoblog, adding that this sixth-generation coupe is his "favorite design so far." Of course, the 2015 model takes cues from all of the generations that came before it, but Mays said it was important to edit down the specific elements from previous models, leaving just enough off to let the customer "participate and fill in the blanks."
"If it doesn't sell itself, you probably aren't a Mustang fan."
Ford F-150, Chevy Silverado, Toyota Tundra flunk IIHS headlight test
Tue, Oct 25 2016The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety put pickup truck headlights to the test and found that the majority of them were equipped with subpar units. The 2017 Honda Ridgeline was the only truck to earn a rating of "good." The large pickup truck test was comprised of the: 2016 to 2017 GMC Sierra, 2017 Nissan Titan, 2016 Ram 1500, 2016 to 2017 Chevrolet Silverado, 2016 to 2017 Ford F-150, and 2016 to 2017 Toyota Tundra. The Sierra's headlights earned a rating of "acceptable," the headlights found on the Titan and Ram 1500 were found to be "marginal," and the ones on the Silverado, F-150, and Tundra were rated as "poor." IIHS claims the F-150 was the most disappointing out of the large pickup trucks as both its halogen and optional LED headlights failed to provide adequate visibility during testing. The Ridgeline (which earned a "good rating"), is usually considered a midsize or small truck, though IIHS included it in the field of large pickups. The headlights on the 2016 Chevrolet Colorado, 2016 GMC Canyon, 2016 Nissan Frontier, and 2016 to 2017 Toyota Tacoma, which made up the small pickup truck group, all earned a rating of "poor." The IIHS claimed the Colorado had the worst headlights of any truck that was tested, as the base vehicle's units were only able to illuminate up to 123 feet in front of the car. The Ridgeline's headlights, for reference, were able to illuminate up to 358 feet in front of the vehicle. To conduct its test, the IIHS utilizes a special tool to measure how far light is projected out of the headlights in different driving situations. The trucks' headlights were tested in a straight line and in corners, while vehicles with high-beam assist were given extra praise. The headlights on the pickup trucks also mimic the testing that was done on small SUVs and cars earlier this year. Next year, automakers will need to fit their vehicles with headlights that earn a rating of either good or acceptable to earn the IIHS Top Safety Pick+. Related Video:
Ford adding stop-start to all major model lines
Sun, 24 Nov 2013Ford has gone all-in on its efforts to offer most of its new vehicles with a fuel-efficient EcoBoost engine, but the automaker is reportedly preparing to take another big step toward improving vehicle efficiency. Automotive News is reporting that Ford will soon expand the availability of start-stop technology, which was first offered - presumably the first non-hybrid vehicle, that is - on the 2013 Fusion (equipped with the 1.6-liter EcoBoost engine) as a $295 option.
The benefit of start-stop is reduced fuel consumption as it shuts the engine off at long stops, and AN quotes Ford as saying that drivers can save more than $1,000 on fuel costs over five years. Despite this, the option hasn't been popular on the Fusion thus far, but it could be more beneficial on bigger vehicles like the F-150. Ford also said that the next-gen Edge, which was previewed in concept form at the LA Auto Show, will be equipped with auto start-stop to help make the EcoBoost engines even more efficient.
