This auction is for a 1966 mustang fastback shelby clone. This is a real gt car and factory 4 speed and black the most desirable color and tranny that was available. The car was cloned back in the 70's from a real shelby that was totaled from what i gather. thie dorr tag info is 6T09169985 63A A 25 14M 25 1 5 and is the original tag. all 3 aprons have the same vin #. the car needs a full restoration but is very solid. only rust issues i see (besides the surface rust on the body) are some in the floorpan not enough to replace the floor, cornor of doors thumbnail size, one spot on passenger quarter dime size on wheel lip. thats all i see ! frame rails are awsome and very nice. the engine and tranny may need rebuilt as i have not tried to start it. this car came to me from SC and the owner had bought it from GA and it was sold to him with a bill of sale only. thus, this car will be sold with a bill of sale and that means NO TITLE (i had to select clear in the title section before it would except this ad). if you are in a non title state there should not be a problem getting a title and if you are in a title state on these old cars i can provide you a bill of sale from me to you. this car has new tires added so it rolls well and will be easy to load. NOTE: i perfer local pick-up if all possable, also i encourage bidders to inspect the car before bidding if all possable and you can call me any time about this auto at 828-208-1674 if you have any questions or concerns. i only except cash, bank wire transfers, bank certified check as final payment method. there must be a $1000. paypal down payment (non-refundable) deposit within 24 hours after auction ends, that means the next day at the time you won this auction the down payment should be in my paypal. i will give the winner 5 days from the time auction won to have me paid in full (if not i will contact ebay and relist or send a second chance offer) . after that is made the winner has 30 days to have the car picked up and i will help with loading the car. if you need more pix send me your e address or call me and i will get pic's you ask for. thanks and good luck on the auction!

Martini Mustang is a 'what if moment' gone right
Wed, 23 Oct 2013Feast your eyes on a masterpiece. This is Steve Strope's Ford Mustang in the classic fastback bodystyle, and as you'll notice, it sports the signature colors of Martini Racing, a livery that's as legendary as any Gulf Racing-styled car. But the red, white and blues of the Martini stripe down this Mustang's middle tell only a very small part of the story, in the latest video from Petrolicious.
What would you guess is under the hood? A 289-cubic-inch V8? Maybe a 302, or some absurd Ford crate engine? Maybe Strope went all Tokyo Drift - he's actually responsible for the "Hammer" Plymouth Satellite driven by Vin Diesel at the end of the movie - and found an RB26DETT to drop into the pony car? You'd be wrong on all counts.
This mad, mad man somehow finagled a Ford-Lotus engine from a 1966 Indianapolis 500 car into the Mustang's engine bay. Yes, a Mustang with an engine designed for a 160-mile-per-hour, open-wheel racecar. That's like someone in 40 years dropping McLaren's 2.4-liter V8 from the MP4-28 into a Scion FR-S. It'd just make a monster.
Lincoln Continental production likely to shift to Flat Rock
Fri, Jun 12 2015Lincoln production may be returning to Michigan, according to a new report from Automotive News. While the brand's current big sedan, the MKS, is built alongside the Ford Taurus, Ford Explorer, and their Police Interceptor counterparts at the Blue Oval's Chicago, IL factory, the production version of the Continental won't be screwed together in the Windy City. According to AN, "industry sources" claim the Continental will join the Ford Mustang and Ford Fusion – on which the big Lincoln is loosely based – at the company's Flat Rock, MI factory. The move isn't just based on convenience, though. Ford is selling a lot of Explorers, and shifting Lincoln production away from Chicago Assembly frees up production capacity for the popular SUV. "Chicago Assembly Plant is vital to our global manufacturing footprint and will continue to manufacture the Ford Taurus, Ford Explorer and Police Interceptor vehicles even after we phase out production of the MKS in 2016," Ford told Automotive News. "We will continue to match production to demand." Looking at the numbers further backs up the argument against Lincoln production in Chicago. Last year alone, Ford built nearly 285,000 Explorers and over 73,000 Taurus sedans, compared to just 8,300 Lincolns. Finally, as AN tells it, Ford is almost telegraphing the Continental's arrival in Flat Rock. The facility has a four-week shut down scheduled from June 15 through July 13, which is twice as long as the typical summer vacation, while there's another two weeks off slated for September. New York Mets outfielder turns spring training into his personal car show
Wed, Feb 24 2016New York Mets outfielder Yoenis Cespedes is known for his wide range of talents. He can hit for power, average, has good speed, and is solid in the field. His car collection is equally versatile and diverse, and it's been on display this week at spring training. Every day has brought a different car, and it has his teammates and the media atwitter. Cespedes rolled up Wednesday to the Mets facility in Port St. Lucie in a Lamborghini Aventador. It's black with blue trim. Anthony DiComo with MLB.com tweeted this: This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. ESPN's Darren Rovell tweeted the Lambo has a custom exhaust that cost $80,000 and shoots out flames. Of course, that's already old news. His Alfa Romeo showed up today, too. Apparently Mets infielder Wilmer Flores has been driving it. That's an ultra-rare 8C Competizione, brought to you by Robert Brender of SNY.TV. This content is hosted by a third party. It's customized with gaudy wire wheels, red accents, and Cespedes' No. 52 on the hood. Subtle. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Jon Santucci of Scripps newspapers observed it. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. At this rate, we should probably skip Geneva and get credentialed for Mets spring training. Cespedes signed a three-year $75-million contract with the Mets in the off-season. He's also played for the Oakland Athletics, Boston Red Sox, and Detroit Tigers. Related Video: Image Credit: Getty Images Celebrities Design/Style Ford Lamborghini Performance baseball
