This is a very good condition GT clone, originally from Tennessee, completely redone. New paint, aluminum mags, pony interior, exhaust, top, etc. The car runs great but I don't use it very much and need to get something I can drive in all weather. I have close to $30,000 into the car but I have decided to sell it for whatever it will bring on this auction.
It was originally a 6 cyl but now has a 289 4 bbl, automatic trans, headers, flowmaster mufflers, power steering, factory A/C (needs recharging), air shocks, power top - everything works. It has aluminum mag wheels and a brand new cover. All of the gauges work but are not calibrated. Fuel gauge does not go all the way to full but works fine below half tank. The temp gauge shows warm when cold and hot when warm. It buries on the right if it overheats.
This car was completely redone in 2005 before I bought it. Since buying it, I have replaced the top and the exhaust. The odometer reads 58,000 but I have no way of knowing whether it is correct.
This is a DAILY DRIVER, the numbers do not match. It turns a lot of heads but will not win at any shows. It's perfect from 10 feet away but up close there are a couple scratches/chips (easy to fix) and a small dent (easily pushed out with PDR).
The tires are 60 profile all the way around and the front tires sometimes rub a bit on the fenders when you turn a corner. A slightly smaller tire or stiffer spring would resolve this.
I have all the receipts for everything that I did to the car and tons from the previous owner.
Email me with questions and I will respond same day. You can call or text my cell at 586-615-1718. Or send me a phone number and I will call you same day. If you're out of town, I am willing to show the car on Skype or Facetime. IF YOU DON'T HAVE POSITIVE FEEDBACK, please contact me before bidding.

Volkswagen could outsell GM in China for the first time in nine years
Fri, 27 Dec 2013As of the end of November, Volkswagen had sold 70,000 more cars than General Motors in China in 2013, making it appear inevitable that VW will outsell GM there. The feat would return the German brand to the top of chart in China for the first time in nine years, but even the second-place getter won't be complaining too loudly: both automakers sold more than three million vehicles in a market pegged to hit 16 million sales this year.
Volkswagen said it could have sold more cars if it had had more production capacity in China. The arrival of a new-to-China Audi A4, a China-built A3 sedan, the VW Bora and Skoda Octavia, as well as an $18.2-billion-euro investment in the country to construct new factories, means VW should see its numbers grow in 2014. GM's lineup is expanding next year, too, adding four Chevrolet nameplates and two vehicles to its Baojun brand as it tries to get to five million in sales by 2015.
Among other automakers, Ford benefited from good product and woes for Japanese automakers over a territorial dispute with China, outselling Toyota by almost 32,000 units through the end of November. The Ford Focus is China's best-selling vehicle so far this year.

William Clay Ford Sr. dead at 88
Sun, 09 Mar 2014William Clay Ford, retired vice chairman of Ford Motor Company and the last surviving grandchild of company founder Henry Ford, died this morning after a bout with pneumonia. He was 88.
Ford spent 57 years with his grandfather's company, joining the board of directors in 1948 before graduating from college. Ford also held a position as chairman of the design committee, as well as the chairman of the executive committee and vice chairman of the Board of Directors during his tenure with the company. In a 2013 Detroit Free Press story, retired CFO Allan Gilmour said Ford had an eye for design, and was once able to pick out when a fiberglass model of a Ford Contour was asymmetrical, off by an inch on one side. He retired and assumed the position of director emeritus in 2005.
"My father was a great business leader and humanitarian who dedicated his life to the company and the community," said Bill Ford, Jr., Ford's current executive chairman. "He also was a wonderful family man, a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him, yet he will continue to inspire us all."
