Thanks for looking, this is the one of the cleanest 65' Ford Mustang Fastbacks on eBay! This gorgeous Hunter Green pony is originally from Dearborn,MI. The outrageous color combo on this mustang really sets it apart from the rest. The gorgeous black interior on this mustang really gives it a killer eye appeal!!

This Fastback pony comes highly optioned with things such as a powerful  A Code 289 V8 paired to a smooth 4 Speed manual transmission, Front Disc Brakes, interior console, bucket seats, Cragar wheels, brand new white letter radials,Dual exhaust, dash tach & the list goes on and on.

The interior of this car is an easy 7 out of 10. The only exception to perfection is a small quarter sized tear in the headliner. All seating surfaces are great as well as the carpet and dash. The black seat covers and door panels on this car have been replaced at some point & still looks new.

This pony was repainted about 15 years ago and was a very, very nice paint job, but does have very minor chips here and there, on some spots of the door jambs the original red paint is visible, very hard to spot , but you will see it if you look for it. Both doors have VERY MINOR bubbling on the front corners. The car can be easily driven as is and can still be a top contender at the local shows. Brightwork is in good original condition.

Mechanically, this mustang is sound. All mechanical and electrical components are in fine working order and this car is ready to drive ANYWHERE you desire. The engine has been refreshed and runs like a dream with ZERO signs of overheating or leaking. All lights function as they should. Tires and brakes are in good functioning condition. Fluids have all been replaced.

The metal work on this mustang is as sound as it gets. Pictures tell the story, the underside appears to be original and in great condition. Frame rails, floor boards, and shock towers are all in good, solid original condition. Not "show" but good original condition.

To sum it up, this is a fine example of American Muscle History. This pony is ready to show or go!! International bidders welcome. Ive described this car as honestly and accurate as possible but as always inspections are welcome and encouraged, by appointment only. Call today with any questions. 305-525-1731

Detroit 3 to implement delayed unified towing standards for 2015

Mon, 10 Feb 2014

Car buyers have a responsibility to be well-informed consumers. That's not always a very simple task, but some guidelines are self-evident. If you live in a very snowy climate, you generally know a Ford Mustang or Chevrolet Camaro might not be as viable a vehicle choice as an all-wheel drive Explorer or Traverse, for example. If you want a fuel-efficient car, it's generally a good idea to know the difference between a diesel and a hybrid. But what if it's kind of tough to be an informed consumer? What if the information you need is more difficult to come by, or worse, based on different standards for each vehicle? Well, in that case, you might be a truck shopper.
For years, customers of light-duty pickups have had to suffer through different ratings of towing capacities for each brand. For 2015 model year trucks, though, that will no longer be a problem. According to Automotive News, General Motors, Ford and Chrysler Group have announced that starting with next year's models, a common standard will be used to measure towing capacity. The Detroit Three will join Toyota, which adopted the Society of Automotive Engineers' so-called SAE J2807 standards way back in 2011.
The standard was originally supposed to be in place for MY2013, but concerns that it would lower the overall stated capacity for trucks led Detroit automakers to pass. Ford originally passed, claiming it'd wait until its new F-150 was launched to adopt the new standards, leading GM and Ram to follow suit. Nissan, meanwhile, has said it will adopt the new standards as its vehicles are updated, meaning the company's next-generation Titan should adhere to the same tow ratings as its competitors.

Xcar celebrates 100-year anniversary with Model T tribute

Fri, Jan 9 2015

Never mind the fact that XCar hasn't been making videos for the last 100 years, the British duo have gone all silent-moving-pictures in order to make their centenary case for the Ford Model T, a car that was already seven years old in 1915. It's not a review, but a mostly sepia-tinged look at the car that started the mass-market adventure by taking that biblical advice to be fruitful and multiply and populate the Earth abundantly. Since it looks like Xcar is celebrating some kind of milestone, we've also included another video below of the first Xcar review we could find, covering the BMW M1, from the much more recent past - circa 2012.

Which is more fuel efficient, driving with a pickup's tailgate up or down?

Tue, 26 Aug 2014

Thanks to the smoke wand in the wind tunnel, you can actually see the difference in our video.
Should you drive with your pickup truck's tailgate up or down? It's an age-old controversy that's divided drivers for decades. Traditionalists will swear you should leave the tailgate down. Makes sense, right? It would seem to let the air flow more cleanly over the body and through the bed. But there's also a school of thought that argues trucks are designed to look and operate in a specific manner, and modern design techniques can help channel the airflow properly. So don't mess with all of that: Leave the tailgate up.
