This is a 7 day auction for this total BARN FIND. 1965 Ford Mustang Coupe with 289, automatic. This Mustang starts, runs and drives. This car sat for quite some time. It now has a new; gas tank, water pump, alternator, voltage regulator, thermostat. It has minor body damage to the passenger rear quarter panel. This car had an undercoating applied many years back, so there is no rust where it counts (frame). There is minor and common rust on the lower corners of each door, near the front quarter (see photos). There is also some light rust on things like the axles and drive shaft, etc. Brakes are about 50% pad left, tires are brand new Uniroyals (all match). Please excuse the windows being dirty, as I forgot to do them before I took photos. Everything works on the car, except the radio and the horn. The center chrome horn thing does not stay on the steering wheel. I think it needs "horn rings" that I saw online. Also needed are the two chrome arms that attach to the center of the grill (the Mustang logo) and those aren't expensive at all. I know that if I did the minimal body work and a nice paint job, this car would be worth much, much more money. However, if I were someone buying it, I would prefer to buy it as is, then paint it how I wanted. I hope that you feel the same way. Even though the roof and trunk lid are a little oxidized, the paint buffed out nicely and this Mustang still turns heads. So, don't think you can't buy this and drive it around for a while without painting. I have the muffler, which had been removed to make the car sound awesome. This Mustang is a real pleasure to own and drive. I do wish I could keep her, but I am looking to start a business and I need the money. I will work with winning bidder to get the car safely shipped at buyer's expense. I filmed a video of this car and put it on youtube. Ebay won't allow links anymore, so you can watch it by going to youtube and searching the title: "1965 Mustang in Ocala Florida" or you can search my youtube name: flauctionman
Terms: A non refundable $2,000 deposit due within 48 hours of auction ending via wire transfer or paypal gift (I'm not paying the 3%). Car is to be paid IN FULL by 7 days after end of AUCTION. NO LATER!!! No exceptions. If you have issue with this, please contact me BEFORE bidding. I will accept cash or cashiers check. Payment must completely clear before car leaves property. Do NOT bid if you can't adhere to these terms please. If you have ANY questions, or if you would like to see the car in person, you can call me at 352-203-8347.
GOOD LUCK!!!!

Mulally confirms he's not leaving Ford for Microsoft
Tue, 07 Jan 2014In recent months, rumors had been flying about Ford CEO Alan Mulally potentially leaving the company to take a position at Microsoft. Last we heard, Mulally was planning to stick around at Ford through at least 2014, and in an interview today, that bit was confirmed by the CEO himself.
According to the Associated Press, in a report from The Detroit News, Mulally said he will not be leaving Ford for Microsoft, and reiterated that he will remain at the Blue Oval through 2014, if not longer. Mulally has "no plans other than to serve Ford," according to the report.
Mulally did not say whether or not he had been in talks with Microsoft at any point. Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer has said he plans to leave the software company sometime this year.
Detroit 3 and UAW could create healthcare pool
Thu, Sep 3 2015Healthcare costs continue to multiply in the US with no clear end in sight, but the United Auto Workers and the Big Three are negotiating a way to rapid growth under control. As part of the latest contract talks, the union has an idea to create a healthcare pool across all of its members at Ford, General Motors, and FCA US. If accepted, the company-wide integration would spread out the expenses and create a massive member base for bargaining with insurance companies. Both Ford and GM are at least considering the proposal, according to The Detroit News, and FCA US might be on board, as well. The idea is the work of current UAW president Dennis Williams and is based on the similar pool for the Voluntary Employee Beneficiary Association for retirees. "I've walked through this several ways; I just don't have any other answer," Williams said to The Detroit News. "I do believe this will work. It's worked with the VEBA." Williams was elected UAW president last year and won by an overwhelming margin. He vowed no more concessions to automakers. In addition to healthcare, the two-tier wage system is another major talking point in the contract negotiation because it gives fewer benefits to entry-level workers. Higher wages are also a request. Healthcare costs are a massive expense for automakers and are expected to reach over $2 billion this year, according to The Detroit News. The payments are up nearly 50 percent or more in just the last four years.
Ford reports 58% drop in Q2 profits on European losses
Wed, 25 Jul 2012
Ford Motor Company announced Wednesday that it has posted a $1 billion profit for the second quarter of 2012. That sounds like good news for the Blue Oval, until you take into account that Ford posted a $2.4 billion profit for Q2 a year ago. That is a substantial 58 percent loss.
Ford also posted $465 million in international losses, with $404 million of those losses coming directly from Europe. The automaker also increased its European loss projections to $1 billion for 2012, due in large part to the economic crisis overseas, which has resulted in increased unemployment and decreased consumer confidence.
