I am selling my 1965 Ford mustang coupe due to personal circumstances. I have owned it for 4 years and is over 80% restored. I have 95% of the parts to finish the restoration along with a lot of extra parts. So here are the details:

1. Original 289 ford engine rebuilt. Blueprinted and balanced. Bored .20 over with a higher compression piston. Will run on 85 octane gas.  Crank machined and turned, Kept the original connecting rods for the pistons. Edelbrock cam (stepped up a bit on this one), edelbrock high rise, demon card (also rebuilt), roller rockers, upgraded rods, f40 heads machined as well. Car pushed about 335-350 horse as estimated by the machine shop. This machine shop is considered the best on the western slope of Colorado by many.

2. Swapped out the C4 tranny for a 1985 AOD transmission. Drive line has been shortened and rear end is in great condition. The prior owner has stated is has been gone through but still running stock gear ratio. I haven't verified this. Runs well.

3. Brand new suspension from front to end. Everything replaced. I have lowered the car 1 inch to give it a lower stance.  Also installed is a 4 wheel disc brake system by SSBC. Also a new power master cylinder was installed as well. Any part of the brake system in addition to that was also replaced.

4.  All body work has been done. No rust anywhere. there where a couple of patches before the work started.  It is ready for paint. It is in primer gray and the door hinges has been rebuilt. I have a excellent set of door glass that is extra that comes with the car. I have 4 extra wing windows, 2 extra doors and a additional rear valance.

5.  Interior has been painted flat black. I have most of the interior parts to complete the interior in black.  I have a extra instrument bezel in brushed stainless as well as the dash pieces. Here is what I don't have:  Carpet, Door panels, arm rests and back rear panel (sits under the rear window).

6.  Car has many extra parts that is included.  Custom floor console as well as a 1965 floor console.

Mulally wanted to kill Lincoln as late as last year, Fields vows to turn it around

Mon, 30 Jun 2014

Lincoln fans might want to give incoming Ford CEO Mark Fields a pat on the back for having a hand in saving the brand from the chopping block last year. He's among the people spearheading the rejuvenation of the division away from its stodgy image to appeal to younger customers.
According to two unnamed sources speaking to Bloomberg, CEO Alan Mulally was ready to kill Lincoln last year. Following the slow production ramp-up of the MKZ combined a with a costly ad campaign, Mulally was frustrated and openly suggested dropping the brand. However, Fields and Jim Farley, Ford's marketing boss, convinced the CEO that the brand was worth saving. They also created a plan to prevent similar problems for new models in the future.
It seems that one part of the strategy may involve waiting until new models are at dealers before starting a big ad campaign for them. Lincoln global director, Matt VanDyke, recently told Autoblog that the division is holding off on a full marketing push behind the new MKC crossover to prevent the supply problems that plagued the MKZ last year. Its big offensive begins in the fall when the CUVs are at all of the dealers and consumers are at home watching more TV. VanDyke also told Bloomberg that Fields, Farley and Joe Hinrichs, Ford president of the Americas, have more direct oversight over new product launches now.

New UAW boss Williams talks tough, vows 'no more concessions'

Sun, 08 Jun 2014

Dennis Williams, the newly elected president of the UAW, had some tough words for American automakers in his inauguration speech at the 2014 UAW Convention, striking down the possibility of any additional concessions from the 400,000-strong union.
"No more concessions. We are tired of it. Enough is enough," Williams said during his speech. UAW employees have not received a raise in nearly 10 years, according to Reuters.
Considering the recent strong results for Ford, Chrysler and General Motors, the union's demands are likely to carry a bit more weight in next year's negotiations. And considering Williams' tough stance, we could be in for some fireworks once negotiations commence.

Ford recalls select Explorer, E-Series vans

Tue, 21 Jan 2014

Just a few days ago we brought you news that Ford had issued a recall on 28,000 units of the Edge crossover for problems related to the fuel line. But now the Blue Oval has issued recall notices on two more of its larger vehicles.
The first relates to the Explorer, 395 examples of which from the 2011 and 2012 model years were found to have problems with their steering systems if they underwent service after September 1, 2013. An apparent software glitch could lock the steering gear, preventing the driver from steering the vehicle and thereby increasing the risk of a crash. As a result, Ford dealers are being instructed to check their records to identify the problematic vehicles and bring them in to have the steering gear replaced. Details of the recall can be found in the PDF linked here.
The second problem revolves around E-Series vans that may develop bubbles in their windshields under hot temperatures. The decrease in visibility through the problematic windshield could - you guessed it - "increase the risk of a crash." As a result, Ford is calling in 4,532 units of the E-150, E-250, E-350 and E-450 vans built in the relatively short window between May 12 and May 26, 2011. Details of this recall can be found in the notice below from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
