This auction is for a handsome triple black 1999 Ford Mustang convertible. This is not your ordinary run of the mill Mustang. This convertible has been upgraded from the dealer with authentic Saleen parts including body kit and Speedster cover. The Speedster cover is very unique and it changes the look of the car so it appears to be a 2 seat sports car.

The Recaro seats look awesome with the netted headrests and hold you securely in place when you put the pedal down. The stereo has an Alpine head unit and has all the wiring to add an amplifier and subwoofer if you chose to do so.

The engine is stock with the exception of a K&N air filter and an aftermarket exhaust. The 5 speed manual transmission shifts well and the clutch was replaced around 15K miles ago.

The car looks great but it is a used car so it has some small issues including peeling coating on the steering wheel and a torn seam on the convertible top. Both are shown in the pictures. The top does not leak even though it has a torn seam. The A/C does not blow cold and I have not looked into the cause.

I would trust this car enough to drive it cross country and if you chose to do that, I would be happy to pick you up from Norfolk International Airport in Norfolk, VA. I will also meet with a auto transport driver if you decide to ship the car.

I would be happy to take the car to a local mechanic of your choosing if you would like to pay for a pre-purchase inspection. I have a clear Virginia title in my name with no liens that is ready to sign over to you.

The passing of William Clay Ford has been a big event for the company he spent most of his life helping run. Ford spent 57 years working for his family's company. Considering the Blue Oval has been around for over 100 years, WCF's passing is the end of an era for the Dearborn-based manufacturer.
Ford's YouTube channel has issued a short memorial video highlighting the life of the longest-lived grandson of company founder Henry Ford. It follows William Clay from his time as a boy, showing him alongside his grandfather, through his younger years, and into his twilight, as the patriarch of the Ford family.

Porsche 911 Turbo and Nissan GT-R Nismo star in World's Greatest Drag Race 4

We love Motor Trend's annual World's Greatest Drag Race video. Now back for its fourth appearance, the idea of lining some of the world's fastest cars up for a ten-wide, straight-line, full-throttle run is, well... it's pretty freaking badass.
The lineup this year boasts some impressively fast cars to be sure. The group of ten includes the following darlings: Alfa Romeo 4C, BMW i8, BMW M4, Chevrolet Camaro Z/28, Ford Fiesta ST, Jaguar F-Type R Coupe, Nissan GT-R Nismo, Porsche 911 Turbo S, Subaru WRX STI and, last but not least, the Volkswagen GTI. Give us any one of those for the weekend, and we're happy to take the keys.
It must be said though, that for a publication that draws as much water as Motor Trend does, there are some big cars that we might expect to be here instead. The Lamborghini Huracán or Ferrari 458 Speciale would have added some exotic flare to the list, and the omissions of the Chevy Corvette Stingray (for the second year in a row) and the Dodge Challenger Hellcat are real head-scratchers.

2015 Ford Mustang leaked in Autoweek

We would have to imagine that Ford knew it couldn't keep its 2015 Mustang under wraps for too long, and with only days to go before the pony car's official unveiling, the dam seems to be cracking. SVTPerformance.com member Screamin 40th just posted some images taken of the sixth-gen Mustang prominently featured in and on the cover of the December 9 issue of Autoweek magazine.
These images show that recent renderings we saw weren't too far off. The face is just like what we saw in spy shots a few months back, but the rear of the car features some of its more striking cues. Starting with the pronounced haunches and hidden B-pillars, the rear view of the new Mustang might be its best with the ridged, three-bar taillights, a rear diffuser and the lack of a faux gas cap, which allows the galloping pony to be an even more prominent element against the black trim.
The images also reveal a small portion of the updated interior carrying over retro themes like the deep-dish steering wheel and dual-gauge instrument cluster, but it also adds some modern tech with a big infotainment displays and a clean center stack layout. No official word on powertrain or other specs, but while we can't make out most of the magazine's text, our eyes did catch mentions of an independent rear suspension and a 200-pound weight reduction.
