1923 Ford Model TT Six Post Huckster. This rare, original bodied Model TT truck was just removed from an estate where it had been carefully preserved for the last sixty years. When we purchased this truck, we rebuilt the carburetor, installed a new gas line, cleaned the gas tank, installed new spark plugs and wires, and the engine started right up for the first time in many decades. Although we have not driven the truck, the engine sounds great with no unusual noises or smoke.The chassis is complete and intact with solid original wood wheels which have new Coker tires and tubes on the rear and good, usable tires ont the front. The chassis components such as the steering, suspension, etc show typical signs of wear and it appears that this truck was well cared for making it a survivor in good original unrestored condition. The original wood body is complete with all of its proper hardware and, shows the expected signs of wear and aging, although is generally solid. Included in the sale is a copy of the 1949 title in previous owners name. This rare truck can be mechanically serviced and used as-is or would be a great display item. Model T trucks with their original wood bodies are extremely scarce and are highly sought after by vintage Ford and vintage truck collectors. Payment due five days after close of auction. Ford names Lincoln chief as North American president following Nair's departure
Thu, Feb 22 2018Ford announced yesterday that its North American president Raj Nair would no longer be working for the company due to "inappropriate behavior." As a result, the company needed fill that gaping vacancy. The new North American president and Ford Group vice president will be Kumar Galhotra, and his term in the new role will start on March 1. Galhotra will remain the group vice president and chief marketing officer for Lincoln through March, meaning he's the head of the luxury brand. He's had this position since 2014. Before that, he was vice president of engineering for all of Ford. With Galhotra's promotion, a number of internal promotions follow. Joy Falotico, current chairman, CEO and group vice president of Ford's credit division will fill Galhotra's position, and Dave McClelland, vice president of marketing for Ford Asia Pacific, will fill her role. Other shuffling at Ford includes Stewart Rawley's promotion to vice president for Ford North America and chief operating officer. He is the current vice president for strategy at Ford. Ford China's chairman and CEO John Lawler will take Rawley's old role, and Cathy O'Callaghan will take over Lawler's job at Ford China, but not until June 1. O'Callaghan is currently vice president, corporate controller and chief financial officer for global markets at Ford. Related Video:

The Ford ads pit Brazilian Formula One driver Nelson Piquet against English F1 pilot Nigel Mansell driving the new Fusion, the two coming together again after their partnership at the Williams F1 team ended in a miserable state more than 20 years ago.
They're lined up for you below, in reverse chronological order. You should watch number three first, though, as it adds a bit more spice to the NASCAR action in the fourth.
2015 Ford F-150 shaves 700 pounds, adds 2.7-liter EcoBoost [w/video]
Mon, 13 Jan 2014The Ford F-150 is one of the best selling vehicles on the planet. Considering that, one can imagine that when it comes time for a redesign, there are hardly any half measures. For its lucky thirteenth generation, Ford has gone all-in on the single most important vehicle in its portfolio, redesigning it from the ground up.
The big news is the F-150's new, lightweight, Atlas-inspired body. Ninety-three percent of that new body is made from a sort of aluminum alloy not unlike what the US military uses in its M2 Bradley fighting vehicles and Humvees, and it accounts for up to 70 percent of the F-150's 700-pound weight reduction. As a side benefit, the aluminum body should prove more resistant to dents and dings. Built Ford tough, indeed.
If you're wondering where the other 30 percent of that 700-pound weight loss went, 8.5 percent (60 pounds) came from the increased use of high-strength steel (up from 23 percent to 77 percent) in its ladder-box frame. Ford claims this steel is comparable to some of the heavy duty pickups used by its competitors, with a PSI rating of 70,000.
