Great Ford Model T Truck - Rod Or Restore Project Truck on 2040-cars

Here's a great project truck for with the potential to go any way you want! Hot rod, rat rod, or restore to it's original glory.
I believe it to be a 1924 Ford Model TT but not 100% sure. Body is in very, very good shape for it's age, door latches still work, only 2 bullet holes "patina" and main body and cab is about 98% surface rust only. There are 2 spots on the inside of the bed that have rust all the way through and 2 spots on the passenger side cab, one on the front lower cowl and one spot behind the door, rest of the body is just surface. Truck still has original axles, springs, wishbones, hubs with partial wooden wheels and complete drive train. Motor still turns over with the hand crank and has the original gas tank and radiator with shroud. The back top of the cab was cut at one point but can be fabricated back to normal. Front fenders are rough but there and has original light bar with buckets. I was told this may be a "FrankenFord" - Model TT cab, Model A bed, and early 1919 or older frame. Low start... No Reserve!!!! Sold as is with no warranty "of course" and bill of sale only, no title. 2014 Ford Fiesta ST
Tue, 15 Oct 2013I'm not overly inclined to professional jealousy, as a rule. Sure, I go a bit green around the eyes when Ramsey draws the 911 GT3 trip to Weissach, Harley is tapped-in to drive a completely stunning Porsche 911 by Singer, or, you know, Drew Phillips gets to shoot a Lamborghini Veneno in the middle of a desert like some sort of sheik. I hate you guys...
Honestly though, one of the new car events that dug me the most, was when our Steven J. Ewing got to fling the Ford Fiesta ST around some hot corner of Europe. What goes around comes around, I suppose, as Mr. Ewing himself espoused an envious nature of the Focus ST trip that came before.
The good news in all this covetous intra-office behavior? All the cars mentioned, and specifically the Fiesta ST, are just wonderful to drive. I can say that with more confidence than ever now, having joined Ford for a good bit of Fiesta-flinging myself. In my case, the locale was slightly more pedestrian (Michigan not Portugal), and the car in question was the five-door version of the Fiesta ST that we get here in The States, as opposed to the three-door number they get across the pond.
Ford 1.0L takes third-straight International Engine of the Year award
Thu, 26 Jun 2014Ford's 1.0-liter EcoBoost is proving to be The Little Engine That Could, and it continues to acquit itself well, finding favor as one of the best powerplants in the world. To confirm it yet again, the tiny mill just won the International Engine of the Year award for the third year in a row, likewise also nabbing the title in the Sub 1.0-liter category.
Packing 123 horsepower and 148 pound-feet of torque with overboost (125 lb-ft normally), the tiny engine combines impressive power in a size small enough to be a carry-on item for a commercial flight. US buyers only got a taste of the award winner in the 2014 Fiesta, while the 1.0 EcoBoost has been available throughout the Ford lineup in Europe for a few years now. American sales have reportedly been strong, however, and next up in the US, the mill will find its way into the 2015 Focus.
The panel of 82 jury members from 34 countries also named the Mercedes-AMG 2.0-liter turbo found in the A45, CLA45 and GLA45 AMG models with 355 hp and 332 lb-ft as the best New Engine for 2014. The electric powertrain from Tesla won Green Engine prize, and the 4.5-liter V8 from the Ferrari 458 Italia took home the honor of top Performance Engine yet again.
