SELLER REMARKS |

If nothing else, this 1927 Ford Model T roadster is a clever bit of engineering. With a traditional chassis, a Chevy V8, and a look that recalls the long, sleek roadsters of the '30s, it's a rod that's a cut above the usual stuff.
That distinctive "turtle deck" styling is all Model T roadster, and it is one of the simplest, yet most elegant shapes ever created. It also looks great surrounded with curvaceous fenders and fronted by an extra-long hood that gives the humble Model T a very sleek look. There's virtually no panel on this entire car that hasn't been customized or hand-fabricated to achieve a look, but the Ford DNA is undeniable in the final result. The louvered hood starts with a highly modified '32 Ford grille shell with a unique stepped insert that gives it a very unique swept-back look. The fenders look like Model A pieces, again modified to work with the longer front end, and with everything swathed in brilliant white paint with blue flames, there's no denying that there was someone with a very clear mission at work here. Even the marker lights that look like cowl lights are a cool period touch that shows this guy knew the cars he was emulating with this cool build. Workmanship is impressive, so if you like the look, there's plenty to love about the build.
The interior is quite a bit more user-friendly that the usual Model T, with a wide bench seat that's comfortable and has plenty of room for two. The door panels were created to match and it's carpeted to control noise and heat, both of which are critical in a roadster like this. A track-style steering wheel wrapped in contrasting Ford Blue ties it together with the exterior, and a full complement of white-faced instruments offers a great view of what's going on up front. Toggle switches under the dash control things like the dash lights, electric fan, and fog lamps and an AM/FM/cassette stereo has been neatly installed on the passenger's side. A polished steering column and Lokar shifter reinforce the period look, and the rakish top is a lift-off piece that allows open-air motoring in traditional Model T fashion. You also get a full set of side curtains for all-weather cruising.
The engine is a rugged and reliable 350 cubic inch Chevy V8 that's been neatly dressed for show duty under the long hood of this T. Lots of chrome and polished aluminum glitter when you pop the 3-piece hood, and with a 4-barrel carb and a throaty dual exhaust system, it certainly sounds like a hot rod. A TH350 3-speed automatic power a 9-inch Ford rear end, which hangs on ladder bars and coil-overs. A dropped I-beam front suspension, complete with transverse leaf spring, gives it that vintage hot rod feel and there's a disc brake at all four corners. A set of flashy aluminum Weld wheels offers the traditional "big-n-little" combination with 185/65/15 front and 275/60/15 rear tires.
Not quite a T-bucket, not quite a track T, and not quite a Model A or Deuce roadster, this is a wild combination with the right look and the right parts to simply be a ton of fun. Call today!

Since Takata has decided not to take the lead concerning potential issues with its airbag inflators, the automakers have. Perhaps that's unsurprising, since it's the automakers, not Takata, that will take a beating on the dealership floor if consumers decide its models are a health hazards. The Detroit News reports that Toyota, Honda, General Motors, Ford, Chrysler, Mazda, BMW, Nissan, Mitsubishi and Subaru met in a hotel conference room near the Detroit Metropolitan Airport last week to sort out a way to understand the technical issues involved. So far, faulty airbag inflators have been ruled the cause of five deaths and 50 injuries around the world, but neither Takata nor investigators understands exactly why the inflators are malfunctioning. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration recently asked Takata to issue a national recall, Takata declined, citing a minuscule failure rate and the fact that it's still investigating the issue. Toyota and Honda then made an industry-wide appeal for "a coordinated, comprehensive testing program" that would pinpoint the problem inflators and get them replaced, and that's what the Detroit meeting was about. Numerous issues, however, will make this a long row to hoe: simply getting the parts to replace the nearly 20 million inflators in cars recalled around the world so far - even working with other suppliers - will take a years, but more importantly, no one knows if the replacement inflators currently being installed will suffer the same issue. Answers will hopefully come quickly with Takata, the ten automakers and NHTSA all independently investigating the problem.

We don't need to tell you that there's something missing in the image above. What we do need to tell you is that this is not a picture of a parked car stranded on the highway. This is, rather, just one frame from video of that three-wheeled Mustang traveling down the highway at highway-appropriate speed.
We don't know where you'd have to be nor how badly you'd have to be there to go shooting down the freeway in a car with three wheels, but if the New Daily News is correct, that place is somewhere in Texas. The video's short, but you'll have plenty of time to shake your head at it by just scrolling down.

The 2015 Ford Mustang is one of the most anticipated cars of the year, despite the fact that production hasn't yet begun. What's a pony car fan to do? It turns out that Ford already has pricing and options information about the vehicle in its dealer ordering system. A few enterprising folks have snapped some pictures from it and have posted them online. You might not be able to drive your car yet, but you can at least see what it might cost.
At the moment, Ford appears to be splitting the Mustang into five models - 3.7-liter V6, 2.3-liter EcoBoost, GT with the 5.0-liter V8, 50th Anniversary and SVT. There are 10 available paint colors, 2 of which require an extra outlay. Triple Yellow is $495, and Ruby Red Tint is $395. Regardless of model, navigation goes for $795, and reverse parking assist is $295.
For both the EcoBoost and GT, the six-speed automatic tacks an extra $1,195 to the sticker, and adaptive cruise control is the same price. The GT also has a limited-slip 3.55 rear end for $395 and a GT Performance package for $2,495. Recaro leather seats add an extra $1,595. For the EcoBoost, there's something called EcoBoost Performance package for $1,995. The system doesn't say what the packages include.
