1926 Ford depot hack restored to a high standard. Selling my depot hack as I have not driven it more then 100 miles in the last three years since the restoration was completed. This vehicle commands attention where ever shown. It has a wonderful York body in like new condition.Wood, finish, top and all hardware is in show condition. All components of the front end and rear end were dismantled rebuilt and powder coated to a high luster. Engine, transmission in excellent condition and has electronic ignition. Car has totally rebuilt Ruxtell rear end with the larger brake shoes found on the 1926. All very high quality new sheet metal. While the basic color is Black, the hood and highlight on fenders is painted Ford Rock Moss Green. It is very striking and commands attention and adds a lot of interest to the car. The fenders and hood also have a complimentary gold pin stripe. The wheels have been powder coated, totally rebuilt, painted the original black and pin striped to match. In all it is very attractive and is " a could have been from the factory". Tires are Goodyear diamond tread which are hard to come by. Interior seats are in excellent condition and over all this vehicle has been hardly used since restoration. I am starting the auction at $16,300 which is my cash investment. You get my years of labor and hard work free! I don't believe you could buy and restore another to this condition for what I am willing go sell for. I have enjoyed the car and had fun, now it is time for some one else to be the care giver, enjoy and have fun. Ask me anything, and I will try and answer your question.

Ford Q1 profits dragged down by warranty costs
Fri, 25 Apr 2014General Motors isn't the only Detroit automaker posting falling profits in the first quarter. Ford just released its Q1 2014 financial data, and it reported a net income of $989 million, down $622 million from Q1 2013. The drop is partially blamed on higher warranty and recall expenses than the company had anticipated.
Financially, Ford suffered a rough quarter almost across the board. Its pre-tax profit of $1.4 billion was also down $765 million from a year ago. Things were even worse in the North American market where operating profit fell significantly to $1.5 billion, down from $2.392 billion in Q1 2013. However, its global revenue ticked up slightly to $35.9 billion, from $35.6 billion in this period in 2013.
Ford admitted that it spent about $900 million on expenses that it hadn't planned for during this quarter. According to Reuters, the company paid about $400 million in additional warranty and recall costs in North America. The automaker didn't explain why the costs were so much higher than expected. However, in the last three months, Ford has had several recalls, including on the 2001-2004 Escape for rust, Explorer for its steering, Edge for its fuel line and others.
This is what a 3D-printed liquid metal Ford Torino looks like
Sat, 12 Oct 2013Artist Ioan Florea has encapsulated a 1971 Ford Torino with 3-D-printed liquid metal transferred onto the car using technology that he developed, and the result is a stunningly shiny, seamless design.
"The surface has the highest coefficient of reflectivity never achieved before," Florea told us in an e-mail, using "nano-materials and nano-pigments that create an internal three-dimensional structure and dictate the polymer how to behave." Sure... We'll leave it to him to make any more 3-D-printed liquid metal-transferred art pieces.
Florea grew up in Romania, and the motivation behind picking the old Ford as his canvas came from his childhood memories of what an American car is - "big and wide and fascinating," he says - and the European name of the car itself, which it shares with an Italian city.
Ford C-Max, Fusion hybrids subject of MPG lawsuit in California
Fri, 01 Mar 2013A California lawsuit over the fuel economy claims for the 2013 Ford C-Max was first reported back in December. Based on the numerous reports we've heard of disgruntled owners failing to get their car's EPA fuel economy ratings on the C-Max and 2013 Fusion Hybrid, we suspected there would be more to this story. The Detroit News is reporting that two California law firms are combining their lawsuits against Ford on this matter for "false and misleading" claims.
The article states that there are hundreds of C-Max and Fusion Hybrid owners who have joined the lawsuit, but the issue isn't limited to customers. In December, Consumer Reports extensively tested both the Fusion Hybrid and C-Max and found that both hybrids performed significantly worse than their EPA claims. This all comes just a few months after Hyundai and Kia took the unprecedented step of lowering the fuel economy ratings for all of their 2012 and 2013 model-year vehicles.
