1922 Model T Produce Delivery Truck on 2040-cars
Oak Harbor, Washington, United States
This is an original Ford Model T one ton truck chassis with the commercial truck body installed by DeKalb Wagon Co, DeKalb, Ill. It is very original, with original lettering on the side from the first owner in Delaware. I have the original title issued to this original owner from the state of Delaware dated Sept. 6, 1922. I am the 5th owner and have copies of the titles for all previous owners. DeKalb Wagon Co. purchased Ford Model T one ton chassis' and installed a number of different commercial truck bodies. This body is #641 and is pictured in an article about DeKalb Wagon Co. Everything looks original to me. There may have been some touch up of the paint in a few spots. It is solid, well preserved, and a very unique item. It runs and drives very nicely. I occasionally have a struggle getting it started when it is cold, but I think that is driver error as I may be flooding it. It has new transmission bands, a new exhaust manifold, and the fuel and cooling systems have been cleaned and function as they should. The delivery body is very solid and original. Using the original bolts and side brackets we installed bench seats in the back for passengers. We also installed the signs you see in the photos to the back rests. The signs DO NOT go with this sale. The seats are included and can be removed with no evidence they were ever on the truck. Thus, no originality was tampered with. Please examine the photos, and ask questions you may have. I will do my best to describe this vehicle as accurately as possible. You can call me with questions etc. if you wish. Rich: 206-240-9434. I will assist in arranging transportation on this end. Actual mileage is unknown as it does not have an odometer.

Ford Ka Concept shown in Brazil, could enter production by 2014
Wed, 13 Nov 2013The Ford Ka (pronounce it like a Bostonian saying "car") is the Blue Oval's sub-Fiesta offering in a number of markets that aren't North America. It's been a staple in Europe since it launched in 1996 and in South America since 1997, where it's enjoyed quite a bit of popularity as an affordable, efficient city car.
The European and South American models grew apart over the years, until Europe ended up with a Fiesta-inspired car and Brazil retained a more evolved version of the original Ka's styling. With this Ka Concept, which is really a concept in name only, Ford is previewing a Ka not just for the European market, but as the brand's new, global small car. With city car sales expected to grow dramatically in coming years and the ever increasing price of fuel, Ford's move to get a new, competitive car into the market on a global level isn't surprising.
Wearing Ford's new, familial grille, the Ka Concept features the same crisp, sculpted sheetmetal that's adorned the Fusion and Fiesta. Developed in-house by Ford Brazil, a production version could launch by 2014, according to Ford's press release. It's unclear what engines will sit under this car's hood, although we'd bet the 1.0-liter, EcoBoost three-cylinder from the Fiesta will be available at some point.
2014 Ford Fiesta gets fuel economy bump to 41 mpg
Fri, 07 Jun 2013The 2014 Ford Fiesta is in showrooms now with refreshed styling and new performance ST model, but it's what isn't yet available that should help the Fiesta stand out from the growing crowd of subcompacts. Aside from the new 1.0-liter EcoBoost model coming later this year, Ford recently told us that a new Fiesta SFE trim level is on the way that should put the updated Fiesta at the top of its class for fuel economy.
The new Fiesta SFE will hit an estimated 41 miles per gallon on the highway when equipped with the six-speed automatic transmission. The current listing on fueleconomy.gov shows the 2014 Fiesta getting up to 29 mpg city and 39 highway, but the SFE will get minor aero tuning and a recalibrated engine controller to help bump the highway figure past rivals like the Chevrolet Sonic and Nissan Versa - both of which top out at 40-mpg highway. There's still no word as to when the small 1.0-liter EcoBoost will show in the US, but Ford has indicated that engine's fuel economy isn't expected to be released until October.
Ken Block hoons his Ford F-150 RaptorTrax on the slopes
Wed, 08 Oct 2014Ken Block drives Fords. Hoons the heck out of 'em, actually. Mostly Fiestas, but also the occasional Focus or Mustang. But earlier this year, the Gymkhana guru revealed his baddest Ford yet: an F-150 SVT Raptor on tracks. And true to form, here he is putting it to the test in the latest video from Monster Energy and Hoonigan Racing.
Filmed at Baldface Lodge in Nelson, BC, the video pairs Block up with snowboarders Zak Hale and Ethan Deiss for some deep-powder action. You'll want to watch the video for yourself, but the bottom line is that the RaptorTrax beats the heck out of waiting on line for the ski lift. It's enough to make us start to look forward to winter... almost.
