THIS IS A 1910 FORD MODEL T ROADSTER (brass) THIS T HAS BEEN SITTING IN STORAGE SINCE 1964. I BELIEVE IT IS MOSTLY ORIGINAL, BUT I HAVE FOUND 2-12-13 # ON THE MOTOR. THIS T COMES WITH 2 NOS SPLASH APRONS AND 2 NOS RUNNING BOARDS, AND ALSO AN NOS RIGHT FRONT FENDER. THERE IS ALSO A PAIR OF BRAND NEW REAR FENDERS THAT MY DAD HAD MADE BY A METAL FABRICATOR. THEY LOOK JUST LIKE THE ORIGINAL ONES. THERE ARE A BUNCH OF OTHER PARTS ALSO. THERE ARE PICTURES OF THEM, AND ALMOST 200 OTHER PICTURES OF THIS T IN THE SITE BELOW. I WILL TRY TO HAVE THE SITE UP AND READY FOR VIEWING IN THE EVENING OF 5/13. THIS CAR HAS NOT BEEN STARTED SINCE 1964 (THE MOTOR IS FREE AND EVERYTHING ELSE MOVES LIKE ITS SUPPOSED TO). THERE IS A MISSING LENS ON THE PASSENGER'S SIDE COWEL LAMP. THERE IS A PARTS LAMP THAT COMES WITH THIS CAR. THIS T NEEDS THE NOS PARTS THAT COME WITH IT. IT ALSO NEEDS A NEW TOP CANVAS AND STRAPS. THE LEATHER HIDE THAT IS ON IT IS THE ORIGINAL AND IT HAS ROTTED OVER THE LAST 104 YEARS. THE REAR WINDOW IS ALSO WITH THE PARTS THAT COME WITH THIS MODEL T. Watch these videos of an NHRA racer's bodywork blowing off into a crowd
Tue, 23 Apr 2013Just a few months ago, fan safety at racetracks was a hot topic following the last-lap NASCAR Nationwide Series crash at Daytona that sent large pieces of racecars into the grandstands injuring 33 fans. Now, a freak incident at a National Hot Rod Association event resulted in a drag racer's bodywork flying into the crowd at the NHRA Four-Wide Nationals in Charlotte over the weekend. The carbon-fiber body of Robert Hight's Ford Mustang funny car blew off toward the end of a run when his engine exploded, but fortunately, the two fans evaluated after the incident were later released without serious injury.
As you can see in the image above, the body flew high into the air before landing on a walkway in front of the grandstands, a bit of happenstance that likely gave most fans enough time and space to move out of the way. At this point, he has a career of showing up around the world to do vehicular stunts, and he's still able to go racing as well. It's a pretty sweet niche to carve out. Recently, Block was in Barbados to participate in Top Gear Live and the first event of the Global Rallycross Championship season, and Ford Racing produced a short video to show off his exploits.
It looked like a great show. Block got to race Lewis Hamilton in a Mercedes-Benz Formula One car and had a very weird crash during a Rallycross race that put his Ford Fiesta on its roof. Top Gear also released an extended look at Block and Hamilton's spectacle with the two of them expertly sliding around.
