You are bidding on a 1909 Ford Model T Touring, Serial number 3182, this is a very early Model T born on May14,1909. The engine number matches the body number. The car has it's original babited drive shaft along with the babited rear axle. The front axle is equipped with the one piece spindles. The engine runs on the hot shot battery which I installed but not on the mag I believe that the magnets need recharged. I have the build record from the Benson Ford Archives which tells me the original color was green which you see under the chipped red paint. The records also state that the car came without a top, windshield, front headlights, and speedometer, The car has all these items and they were probably were installed by the dealer as this was the custom until Henry figured he was losing money.
I am starting this auction at $38000.00 with no reserve and this is for the car only and not any of the parts which have not been installed. I will include all of the parts that are for the car that are on the table along with the set of new gray tires (which are no longer available) and rims bolts etc. with the buy it now. Ford supports bid for Detroit Rallycross race with Motown-minded Fiesta ST vid
Mon, 01 Jul 2013As Ford continues its cheerleading effort to help bring the 2014 Summer X Games to its hometown of Detroit, MI, it has released footage of its 2014 Fiesta ST Rallycross car on location at some of the city's well-known landmarks. This video appears to have been shot around the same time as the previous X Games Detroit video was made, but it focuses 100-percent on rally car action.
With Ford Racing driver Andreas Eriksson behind the wheel, this Fiesta ST lays down some serious rubber atop Detroit's Cobo Hall parking structure, at Belle Isle and around the Michigan Central Depot. Detroit isn't alone in the bid for a three-year X Games contract as Chicago, Austin and Charlotte are also hoping to play host. The winning host city is expected to be announced this summer. Ford EcoBoost V6 hits the dyno before hitting the track
Wed, 02 Oct 2013Ford Racing just unveiled the Riley Daytona Prototype that will make its racing in the United SportsCar Racing Championship Rolex 24 at Daytona in January, and now it has released a video showing development of twin-turbo 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 that powers the car. Using the same block and heads that can be found on a production Ford Taurus SHO, this new racecar benefits from the collaboration between Ford Racing and Ford powertrain engineers.
While we still don't know what kind of power this engine is putting out, it has definitely gotten a workout at Ford's 17G dyno. This area deep within Ford allows the automaker's racing program to work hand-in-hand with production engine programs, which can be a benefit to racing operations and production cars alike. Mustang driver proves wheels are overrated
Mon, 21 Apr 2014We don't need to tell you that there's something missing in the image above. What we do need to tell you is that this is not a picture of a parked car stranded on the highway. This is, rather, just one frame from video of that three-wheeled Mustang traveling down the highway at highway-appropriate speed.
We don't know where you'd have to be nor how badly you'd have to be there to go shooting down the freeway in a car with three wheels, but if the New Daily News is correct, that place is somewhere in Texas. The video's short, but you'll have plenty of time to shake your head at it by just scrolling down.
