1929 ford model a old school hot rod. I purchased this car from an old lady. Her husband passed away in the late 1990's but built the car from scratch back in the old days( look at the picture of the old man That's the car in the 1970's after he built it). He was an ex drag racer from back in the 1960's. All henry steel except rumble seat lid is fiberglass. This car was built back in the 1970's. Has I think a 1957 chevy corvette engine and 3 speed stick transmission. Has a ford drop axle with disc brakes on the front and stock leaf spring with coil overs ( could put on shocks if you want) the rear end I think is the same 1957 chevy. Engine runs smooth and nice with a cam. Could use a paint job or leave and enjoy. Has a stero, lights all work runs and drives good, needs front tires they are the same ones from the 1970's. you can see the car run and drive at youtube....( 1929 model a 5 window red ) there is only 1 little rust spot on lower front drivers side part of the body VERY minor and under side is very nice. Been in Riverside California its entire life. Has power seat and tilt wheel. My friend is 6'4 and fits in the drivers seat very nice. The rear end has the stock leaf with a 4 link type set up with some other hand made stabilizer. I ALSO HAVE THE BUMPERS LOOK IN PHOTO, the rumble trunk lid has a piece of fiberglass broken. car is a very solid driver NOT a SHOW car but a real steel old school hot rod. Some people like No fenders, or paint it patina style, put slicks and white wall, sky is the limit with this little baby. Has a clear plexi insert in the roof but doesn't affect the body. Have a clear California title. Can drop off at a shipping company for overseas for $150. GOLD 56 LIL NUGGET NOT FOR SALE..... email questions... very cool car for the $ price.

Ringbrothers shows off Coyote-powered 1968 Mercury Cougar
Thu, Feb 25 2021We'll openly admit that not every SEMA build is our cup of tea. But this? A tastefully resto-modded 1968 Mercury Cougar with a 460-horsepower Ford Mustang V8? Yeah, this is right in our wheelhouse. Sadly, there was no in-pwerson SEMA show in 2020, so we missed out on gems like this one. SEMA or no SEMA, the aftermarket carries on, and co-owners Jim and Mike Ring of Ringbrothers (get it?) saw no reason to let their time and effort go to waste. When they're not building wild customs (see: 1,100-horsepower 1972 AMC Javelin AMX) or more subtle showcases (such as this Cougar or their 1971 K5 Chevy Blazer build from 2018), the folks at Ringbrothers crank out factory reproduction parts, whether for old-fashioned restoration or modification purposes. While '60s muscle cars are recurring build subjects for the two, the Cougar was the first of its kind they tackled. Keeping it in the family, Ringbrothers sourced a Ford 5.0-liter "Coyote" V8 and a 10-Speed Automatic (lifted from an F-150 Raptor, incidentally) for the build. They didn't stop with the driveline, of course. The suspension was overhauled with a little help from DSE and a set of HRE Series C1 C103 Forged 3-Piece wheels were thrown over upgraded brakes. "We put our heart into each car we build, and this Cougar is no exception," Jim said. "The finished product is mild and classy, yet any enthusiast instantly knows it's not stock. I imagine this is what Mercury designers would have come up with if they were building the Cougar today." "While we couldn't bring the car to the SEMA Show, we hope it can be shown to the public soon," Mike said. "We had never done a Cougar before, so this was a fun build. I love working with new shapes and coming up with new ideas." There's plenty to appreciate about this Cougar apart from the mechanicals, too. The finish is Augusta Green Metallic (courtesy of BASF), which was a factory color in 1968. You may know it by another name: Highland Green. There are a few custom exterior touches, but they're quite subtle and styled to be period-correct. The interior was also restored and updated, and it's where you'll find the only thing we're not fond of: that big, fat truck shifter. Gearbox choices notwithstanding, it's a bit of an eyesore. But considering how gorgeous the rest is, we'll give it a pass. Related Video:
Ford, Toyota clean up in Best Car For The Money Awards
Fri, 22 Feb 2013The U.S. News Best Cars for the Money Awards picks winners by looking at the average transaction price, five-year total cost of ownership, the regard a car has from the automotive press, reliability figures from J.D. Power and Associates and safety data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. The result, according to the magazine, is "the best combination of critical acclaim and long-term value."
Ford nabbed six of the 21 categories that received awards this year, the Focus, Fusion, Fusion Hybrid, Taurus, Escape and Edge getting trophies. Toyota and its Lexus and Scion sub-brands took another five, the Tacoma and Tundra owning the two categories given to pickup trucks. The other ten awards were split between Honda with three, Buick with two, and one each for Subaru, BMW, Hyundai, Chevrolet and Mazda.

1 in 7 Americans say they might buy an EV next, as sales of electrics surge
Wed, Apr 26 2017About one in seven driving Americans may likely purchase an electric vehicle as their next car, according to an AAA poll, meaning that as many as 30 million Americans may pony up for an EV within the next three to five years. While some of the motivation is environmental, survey recipients say that lower maintenance expenses and solo access to high-occupancy-vehicle lanes are also among the factors behind potentially going electric. Take a look at the AAA press release on the study here. The poll indicates that about as many people are planning to buy an EV for their next car as are looking to buy a pickup, which is impressive given that the best-selling US vehicle is the Ford F-150. And things should only improve, as about 20 percent of millennials polled said that their next car would probably be an EV. The results are all the more encouraging, at least among green-car advocates, because gas prices have fallen about 40 percent within the past five years, meaning that there's less of an incentive to go electric from a purely economic perspective. Through the first quarter of this year, US plug-in vehicle sales were up about 63 percent from a year earlier to about 39,000 vehicles. Meanwhile, when it came to AAA's annual green-vehicle awards for this year, Tesla's Model S and Model X took the large car and SUV categories, respectively, while the Chevrolet Bolt and Volkswagen e-Golf were listed atop the subcompact and compact lists. The Lexus GS 450h hybrid and the Ford F-150 took home AAA's best green vehicle in the midsize and pickup truck categories. Related Video:
