This is a replica of the 1929 Ford Model A. There were only about 4000 of these made. I have done many upgrades to this car, and it has won many Best Of Show awards at car shows. Plus many other awards. It runs great and is clean inside and out! When an upgrade says Model A it means that I have replaced the replica plastic parts with original 1929 model A steel parts.

Here is a list of the upgrades and repairs that have been made to the car since I have owned it:

Heavy Duty Rebuilt 5 disc Auto Transmission
Upgraded rear suspension, 2 extra leaf springs added all rearched
6-700x18 tires
2 Wheel chains
4 wheel covers
4 side mount side covers
Original Model A stainless steel headlights
All yellow painted areas were powder coated so they will never rust
Beautiful Unique custom paint job
Dual spotlights with rear view mirrors
Dual red dot visor amber fog lights
Model A side mount mirrors
Model T windshield side mirrors
Wheel bearings repacked
Dual custom exhaust with large chrome mufflers extended out
Dual custom continental kit
Steel back plate all powder coated yellow
Dual running board tool boxes, one black powder coat, one yellow powder coat
Webbed luggage rack from the 1920's
New hickory custom made convertable top front header piece
Model A chrome rumble seat grips
Model A black leather, chrome studded rear trunk
Recored radiator
Recored front heater core
Model A stainless steel stone guard
5 model A Ford emblems for front and rear bumpers
Model A stainless steel cowl lights
Dual Model A steel tail lights and chrome tail light brackets to fender
Custom made 1929 model A gas cap conversion
Engine tuned up, runs about 65mph

This car has been my hobby for the past 13 years. I am a disabled vietnam vet and need to sell now that I need the money. I have put almost $20,000 in upgrades. I drove this car to many of the car shows that I took it to so the mileage is 51000 but still in great condition. Please call me at 763-416-4440 if interested. Thanks and God bless

Ford pulls official support from top-level NHRA teams

Sun, 11 Aug 2013

As the smallest team in the sport, it wasn't really a surprise when Dodge decided to pull out of NASCAR, but Autoweek is reporting that Ford is looking to pull the plug on its professional-level NHRA sponsorships following the 2014 season. With attendance and television ratings down, the article reports that Ford is just backing out of the top series but will remain active in the Sportsman classes of racing, which are geared more toward the grassroots and semi-professional racers.
This means that one of drag racing's biggest names, John Force, will be left looking for new sponsorship after next season. Force, 64, has been with Ford for 17 years, winning 15 championships in that time and winning almost half of all Funny Car events in his Mustang since he started working with Ford in 1997, but after 2014, there could be some big shakeups at John Force Racing.
According to the report, Force would consider is moving over to the Top Fuel dragster series, although he could also move to another manufacturer to remain in the Funny Car series. With Ford on the way out, this leaves just Toyota and Dodge as the remaining active automakers in the highest levels of drag racing.

How Ford secretly used customers to test its aluminum F-150 [w/video]

Fri, 30 May 2014

Automakers getting clever about disguising development vehicles isn't anything new. Between mules wearing the sheetmetal of other cars and prototypes decked out in as much camouflage as is practical, automakers know how to make it very difficult for the general public to get an exact idea of what kind of vehicle is in development. Ford, though, is rapidly becoming the master.
We knew that the Blue Oval originally tested the durability of the aluminum construction being used for the 2015 F-150 by building an all-aluminum 2014 truck and entering it in the Baja 1000 off-road race. That's no longer a secret. What we didn't know, though, is that the aluminum development dates back to before even that, and that some of the people in question had no idea what it was they were working with.
Ford says this is the first time prototypes have ever been handed over to the public.

Leno recalls '90s showdown with Tim Allen and his mullet

Wed, Oct 7 2015

Not many of us have buddies with garages full of classic cars, but that isn't the case for Jay Leno and Tim Allen. Of course, one of the advantages for two guys with such vast collections is occasionally getting to pit their cars against each other. The two comedians did just that in the mid-'90s with a burnout battle on The Tonight Show between Allen in a race-prepped Mustang and Leno in a drag racer. After some time away from regular television, Leno is returning to the airwaves with a Jay Leno's Garage series premiering on Oct. 7 (tonight) at 10:00 p.m. ET on CNBC. Let this clip serve as another taste of what to expect for the new TV show's mix of comedy and cars. After reminiscing about the old days in a gorgeous garage, the comedians get into two modern machines to reprise the classic challenge – after a little trash talk anyway. Don't worry because the YouTube series isn't going anywhere, though.
