Up for sale is a 1931 Ford Model A Tudor Sedan Rat Rod Project Car. The car has a 337 cubic inch '49 Lincoln Flathead V8 hooked up to a '39 Ford 3 speed manual transmission. Connected to the transmission is the original Model A drive shaft and original 3rd member.
The car has a brand new aluminum radiator and an aluminum fuel cell.
Juice brakes have been installed with all new wheel cylinders, springs, shoes and hoses. The brake drums are used but still have plenty of life left.
It has a new Vega steering box with an Ididit tilt steering column and the steering wheel from a '49 Buick.
It has frenched tail lights from a '59 Eldorado (reproduction).
Body is in good shape with little rust.
I started creating a 'delivery sedan' type style to the car. I started building a clam shell style door on the rear of the body. I have re-enforced the inner body structure with steel. The wood is still in place with not much rot.
The chassis has been extended 11 inches in front of the firewall to accommodate the flathead V8. The frame has also had boxing plates welded to the inner frame for rigidity.
The wheels are original Ford steel rims from the 1940s. The front tires are NOS US Royal from the 1950s and are very usable.
The headlights are from a '35 Ford truck.
The car comes with a brand new Painless brand wiring harness and fuse box along with new Stewart-Warner Oil Temp and Water Temp gauges.
The car also includes an original set of front seats.
I am selling the car because I don't have the time to finish it.
The car is not currently running but has a clear California title currently registered as 'Non-Operational' A nice set of 1931 California license plates are included with the car but they are not registered to the car. To the best of my knowledge the plates are clear and not assigned to any other vehicles.
A non-refundable deposit of $500 via Pay Pal due within 24 hours of auction end. Full payment due within 7 days of auction end. Balance to be paid via Pay Pal (plus 3% Pay Pal fee) cashiers check from a national bank or Wells Fargo Bank customers may transfer funds into my Wells Fargo account.
Car is sold 'As Is' and all sales are final. Buyer responsible to arrange pickup of car from my residence in San Diego, CA 92130. Car must be picked up within 14 days after balance is paid. If more time is needed please contact me.
I will consider offers. Please ask any questions before bidding.
I do not recommend this car for a first time car project. The car will require moderate mechanical and body work skills to complete.

Meet Shelby Mustang GT500 Miller, Iowa's latest hatchet-wielding criminal
Fri, Jul 11 2014Well, we've found the long-lost cousin of yesterday's Bentley-tattooed criminal from Florida. This is Shelby Mustang GT500 Miller. No, seriously. While his name seems just like the sort of thing we'd expect the Sunshine State to produce, he actually hails from Iowa. Despite coming from the Hawkeye State, Miller was arrested for a decidedly Floridian offense – getting in a bar fight and then returning with a hatchet. The only way this story could be more Florida is if meth, a manatee or bath salts were involved. The fight, which was at the Cheap Seats Sports Bar, started off typically enough, with a verbal argument in the parking lot (please, please let his nemesis be named "Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 Smith"). This, naturally, attracted passing police officers. Things were broken up and some friends took Miller to his home, which was apparently just behind the bar. That's when he returned with the hatchet tucked under his shirt. Miller promptly proceeded to take out the implement of destruction in the bar's bathroom and... forget about it entirely. Fortunately, the police hadn't left the area yet. Not surprisingly, Miller was arrested for a parole violation, as well as public intoxication and going armed with intent. Still, cool name, bro. 2014 Ford Transit Connect Taxi hopes to fare thee well
Mon, 23 Sep 2013New York City may have selected its taxi of tomorrow, but there are still plenty of municipalities across the US with citizens that depend on yellow livery cars to get them across town in a jiffy. That's why Ford is going ahead with this, the new Transit Connect Taxi.
Based on the 2014 Transit Connect, the TC Taxi boasts a number of features designed to make the compact van appeal to discerning taxi drivers and their fares, with the most notable upgrade being a standardized prep package to convert the 2.5-liter four to run on liquefied petroleum or compressed natural gas. The clean-burning fuel options will allow operators to save on fuel costs and cut down on pollution without sacrificing performance.
A lower load floor and a new twist-beam rear suspension are meant to improve the riding experience for passengers, while the longer 2014 Transit Connect sports extra cargo space as well. In addition to the CNG/LPG conversion, the Transit Connect Taxi can also be easily modified for wheelchair access. Drivers, meanwhile, will have access to optional goodies like Sync with MyFord Touch and a rear-view camera.
Woman trades 1914 Model T in for 2013 Corvette
Wed, 17 Apr 2013We're sure that dealers must see all sorts of interesting trade ins, but this one may take the cake. Red River Chevrolet in Bossier City, Louisiana, recently had a customer come in with an odd request. Tina Boyter wanted to trade in three vehicles on a brand-new 2013 Chevy Corvette. Among the hardware was 1980 Corvette, a 1978 Cadillac Eldorado and a 1914 Ford Model T. While the '80 Corvette had been her personal car for years, the '78 Eldorado had belonged to Boyter's mother before she traded up to a Lincoln. The big Caddy had just 10,290 miles on the clock when it was traded in.
And the Model T? Boyter says the car was built as a racer by Ford, and that it had been a show winner for years when it belonged to her father. But, after spending the last 16 years in a museum with its fluids drained, Boyter decided it was time to shed some of the past. She walked into the dealer, laid eyes on a white 2LT Corvette with a red interior and offered to trade all three of the vehicles in on the sports car.
Why not wait for the C7? "I fell in love with that one when I walked in the door," She said. We can't fault her there.
