I am selling this Real 1931 Steel body Model A that has gone through a complete frame off restoration about 6 years ago. The car is stored in a showroom at my employers Auto dealership because it was traded in for a newer Mercedes benz. The man who traded it in was in his mid 50's and had his fun driving it and going to local car shows with it. I can tell you he had over $55,000 invested in the car and everything was done correctly, looks and sounds awesome. The car is powered by a Chevy 454 big block motor which I am being told was a crate motor, everything is new on it like the alternator, carb and so on. The trans is a 700r 4 speed automatic trans with a 2800 stall speed converter and has a 12 bolt rear with 3.73 posi and has been tubbed. Again, everything was new and built in 2007 and has had no known issues. The interior is nice, has power windows and a cd player and also has a dakota digital dash set up. All the trim is new on the car, all the windows were resealed, the fake top looks great and the car has some unique items on the car. The car has a hour meter that was set on the motor when this car was built, has a total of 41 hours on the motor and the car since the resto. It has a yuengling bottle on it as you can see in pictures that holds water and runs to the block, it is just for show but everyone ask's what is it for? I can tell you this car will sell to the 1st person that comes and looks at it. I have sold over $500,000 worth of classic cars over the past few years with no issues and I can tell you that you will not have any issues with this car. In PA you have to do a enhanced auto inspection when you have a build like this so the 1931 PA title is a reconstructed due to it not being a original plain 1931 vehicle. Good luck and understand most of all of my auctions end early due to the vehicles are being offered for sale locally and I can end the auction at any time, so make an offer or bid along for this one of a kind ride. Also, has disc brakes, fuel cell, wheelie bars, little tank on the front bumper is for show, has alot of little items on the car, power antenna, power trunk goes up and down by a push of the button, strobe lights, the old owner showed this and babied this car..Was not beat on at all..He stated he never even did a burn out with the car.. Good Luck..      A buy it now can be added at anytime...

To answer a few more questions on the 1931 Ford..The dakota digital dash has a speedo, oil pressure, volt meter, water temp, tach and so on and everything works perfectly. I took a few more pictures of the motor and with the trunk down and can send them to your phone through a text or email. The motor is all polished, intake, alternator, all brackets and so on. This is not a cheap build..Alot of time and money invested. Any questions my cell phone number is 267-446-0572 ..We have had a few solid offers and might close the auction early..Good Luck.

The car does have A-C and heat...

Daimler consulting with Ford about 3-cylinder engines

Mon, 27 May 2013

Soon enough, Ford will offer its 1.0-liter EcoBoost three-cylinder engine under the hood of the Fiesta here in the United States, building on the success of the small powerplant overseas. In fact, this success has caused other automakers to take notice, and according to Automotive News Europe, Daimler is now talking to Ford about this engine for use in its own products.
In other markets, Ford offers the 1.0-liter mill under the hood of the Focus (we had the chance to sample this package on our home turf), as well as the B-Max MPV. For this new collaboration, Daimler would use the turbo-three in the next-generation Smart ForTwo, as well as the Renault Twingo, which the German automaker will be collaborating on as part of its alliance with Renault-Nissan. Speaking to AN, a Mercedes-Benz engineer called the 1.0-liter mill an "interesting and impressive engine."
In exchange for details about the EcoBoost inline-three, Daimler will supply Ford with information regarding its Euro6 stratified lean-burn gasoline engine, which is found in the new E-Class sedan.

Unrestored 1969 Shelby GT500 one of many classic barn finds going to auction

Wed, 19 Mar 2014

We love a good barn find here at Autoblog. We like that there's a palpable excitement and sense of mystery surrounding barn finds. Each case has its own uniqueness to it, and this latest discovery is no different: an unrestored, one-owner 1969 Shelby GT500 with just 8,531 miles on it.
In the case of this particular barn find, many of the typical questions have already been answered. For example, we know who owned it - his name was Larry Brown. He recently passed away, and as he had no wife or children to inherit the estate, the car he purchased at Pennsylvania Ford dealer in May of 1969, will be auctioned off by Ron Gilligan Auctioneers.
The car was fastidiously maintained, having never been driven in the rain. In fact, Brown never even washed it, out of fear of it rusting. According to the auction website, the last time this car saw water was probably when it was detailed ahead of being delivered to Brown. If that doesn't sound like a fanatical sense of maintenance on the part of this GT500's owner, this next part will. The interior has been treated to a similarly painstaking attempt at preservation, with garbage bags covering the seats and two layers of floor mats over the carpets. The result is a car that, aesthetically, is in remarkable shape considering it's spent so long in a barn.

2015 Ford F-150 specs revealed, EcoBoost 2.7L to make 325 hp and 375 lb-ft [w/video]

Tue, 22 Jul 2014

Our new man Greg Migliore is in attendance at a Ford media event at the Blue Oval's Dearborn, MI headquarters today, and he's reported in with a handful of the 2015 F-150 stats that we've been dying to know. Ford is slow-playing the news release here, but we can still offer up some interesting output and performance figures after half-year of waiting.
We have all be quite aware that Ford's shift to aluminum construction would save a lot of weight for F-150 models, and the results we're hearing now are duly impressive. For instance: in Super Crew trim, a 2015 F-150 is a whopping 732-pounds lighter than was its closest 2014-model-year equivalent. That's like hauling three middle-aged dudes to your bowling alley's league night for free. Polish your balls, guys.
Ford isn't willing to offer up any actual curb weights just yet, but if we take that 732-pound loss and extrapolate with the 5,128-pound curb weight of the 2014 F-150 Super Crew with the 3.7-liter V6, we can guesstimate that 2015 models will measure out in the 4,400-pound range. That's impressive.
