Here you go guys , a nice honest car here.. 1931 Ford 2 dr sedan in great shape , needs nothing to drive home.Runs and drives excellent , everything functions like it should , all gauges in the cluster work great , all lights work , brakes are good , tires are good , has new interior as of last month , brand new top , all windows go up and down nicely , front window tilts out like it should , just a nice nice car...

The motor has been rebuilt and starts right up , it looks very good under the hood also , an after market fuel cut off switch has been added for safety reasons ..Mostly everything else under the hood is original and correct as far as i know...The transmission shifts great also ...
Most of the chrome is in great shape , the wheels have been repainted at some point or are very nice originals ..The paint has some patina but looks good on this old girl ...
The body is all steel and in great shape , the floors and running boards are nice , as well as the fenders..
The interior was professionally recovered last month to the tune of $2000..Brand new roof and liner also..

This is a honest old car and needs nothing to be driven and enjoyed with the family..like any old car it has a few scratches here and there , nothing major or no major damage..
i am selling the car as-is , no warranty expressed or implied .. i recommend you come see the car in person and be satisfied as to the condition before you bid..Im not trying to throw a curve ball here just what i think is nice and what you might expect may be different thats all..Its not a show car but could be shown and is in good shape, just not a top flite restored car if you understand what im saying..there will be no surprises with it....My number is listed at the bottom of the ad so you can call me to arrange a time to see the car..

Thanks alot

Note--- Some of the pics show the old interior , the  velour tan/brown is the current new interior...Thanks

1964 Ford GT40 prototype sells for $7M

Mon, 14 Apr 2014

Seven-figure Ferraris are not horribly rare. Heck, an eight-figure Ferrari isn't a rare occurrence. Between modern masterpieces like the Enzo and more classic offerings, cracking the million-dollar mark isn't a particularly tall order for the cars from Maranello. For a Ford, though, it's a big deal.
Now, this is not just some rare Mustang. This is a GT40, the car that Henry Ford II commissioned to whip Enzo Ferrari around a track in France. As far as the Le Mans-winning racers go, they don't get much rarer than this one. Sold at the Mecum Auctions in Houston, this is one of the prototypes, meaning it's one of the very first GT40s ever built. That makes its $7 million winning a bid, a record for on-air coverage of the auction, a pretty darn impressive figure.
You can watch the auction below, but first, take a look back at our original story on this rare Blue Oval.

Raptor, Excursion, Texas And Hennessey
Each of those words are synonyms for big and bold - combine all four and you've got one of the largest, most powerful and robust street-going sport utility vehicles in the world.
John Hennessey is a Texas-based tuner known for creating some of the fastest and most capable cars on the planet. Over the past two decades, machines like the Viper Venom 550, Ford GT 1000 Twin Turbo, HPE 700 LS9 Camaro and the almighty Venom GT have emerged from the Hennessey Performance garage. And those are just the celebrated flagships; the company has modified thousands of other street cars including those from Audi, Bentley, Cadillac, Ferrari, Ford, Porsche and Toyota, to name a few.

New car market raining on convertibles' parade

Mon, 08 Jul 2013

Whether fitted with soft or hard folding lids, today's droptops are better than ever for year-round motoring. Advancements in power top mechanisms, sealing, aerodynamics, structural rigidity, rollover safety and creature comforts like heated and cooled seats mean that modern convertibles are more versatile and better to drive than ever before. Yet the segment's sales took a dive during the recession and haven't come back, Automotive News reports.
Part of that is because automakers are looking at today's more sensible buyers and simply not developing as many new models, and that lack of fresh iron is curbing sales. AN cites R.L. Polk data which notes that only about one percent of new vehicles registered in the US last year had tops that folded. Back in 2009, it was 1.4 percent, and it was 2 percent in 2006. All-in, some 151,636 convertibles were registered in 2012. That's more units more than were registered in each of the past three years, but the market has also grown as the economy has picked up speed, and as a percentage of new vehicles purchased, convertible sales are lagging.
Thus far in 2013, the Ford Mustang is America's top-selling convertible, with 6,421 units registered through the end of April, followed by its rival, the Chevrolet Camaro, at 4,751 units. The Volkswagen Beetle isn't far behind, with 4,305, but from that point, it's a steep drop off to the fourth-place Mercedes-Benz SL-Class and its 2,380 sales.
