For sale is a 1930 Ford Model-A 5 window coupe. My Grandfather purchased the car 26 years ago and completely tore the car down to fully restore it and never got around to it. It has been stored in his shop for the past 19 years in pieces. All parts to the car are in good condition for the age of the car, and are original to the car. The motor is not the original motor to the car, but is an orginal 1937 Ford Flat Head V8 that was completely rebuilt 22 years ago and was fired up and broke in last summer for the first time since it had been rebuilt, and runs like brand new. My dad and I have started putiing the car back together to take pictures of it and get it ready to sell. None of the parts are 100% bolted down, we just put a few bolts in each piece to secure it for tranportation. The car does have many extra parts, some of which are duplicates which are being included with the car. All glass in the car is orginal and is intact except for one the rear windows was discorvered broken when the car was being put back together. Overall the car is in pretty good condition and a great starting point for a factory restoration or hot rod project. I do reserve the right to end the auction at any time if I find a local buyer, or if I'm not satisfied with the final bid. A $500 deposit will be required within 24 hours of the auction end and full payment will be required with 7 days of auction end. Any bidder who cannot fulfill these requirements will have there bid cancelled and will recieve negative feeback. If you have any questions or concerns please contact my father at (870) 405-7890 since he can answer any question better than I can, if there is no answer please leave a voicemail with your name and number and he will get back to you as soon as he can.

2015 Ford Focus gets more Aston-y [w/video]
Tue, 04 Mar 2014With more and more members of the Ford brand adopting a new familial face, the Focus has been left looking like an odd man out. At the Geneva Auto Show, though, it properly rejoined the family, adopting the now familiar Aston Martin-ish grille that's proliferated throughout the range.
Overall, we're liking the refreshed Focus' look. Aside from the new grille, the headlights have been restyled and now look like elongated versions of the lamps on the Focus ST. Functionally, those headlamps are bi-xenon units, complete with an adaptive front lighting system. Out back, the rear retains the same overall look, which has been smoothed out for 2015.
In the cabin, the second-generation of Ford's much-maligned Sync system makes its debut. Sync 2, as it's called, is supposedly more intuitive than the first-gen system. Ford is promising "one-shot" navigation functions for the system. Saying "I'm hungry," should bring up a list of nearby restaurants. Of course, we'll be reserving final judgment until we can test the new system in person.
Project Ugly Horse: Part VIII
Fri, 17 May 2013Now With More EcoBoost
There's an EcoBoost 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder in there somewhere, and it's headed straight for Ugly Horse.
For the second time in my life, I'm staring at an engine in the back of a truck with no concept of how to get it safely into the garage by my lonesome. The first time this happened, I dragged home a $300 International 345 V8 in the back of my Scout Terra only to discover that the bounds of my manliness terminated well before my ability to muscle that 800-pound cast iron block out of the pickup bed.
New Ford Police Interceptor tech protects cops' backsides
Mon, 22 Jul 2013It was only a matter of time before law enforcement agencies would realize the potential of driver-assist technology for use in their Ford Police Interceptors, and, now that they have, those back-up cameras and radar systems won't be used just for parking, but for security, as well.
The surveillance mode system works when the camera or radar detects movement from behind the vehicle, and if it does when it's activated, an alarm will alert the officer inside the car, the driver's side window will roll up and the doors will lock, protecting the officer from an unwanted intrusion. The officer, of course, has the option to turn surveillance mode off, mainly in urban areas where pedestrians would constantly set the alarm off, and it can only be activated when the police car is in park.
Randy Freiburger, Ford's police and ambulance fleet supervisor, came up with the patent-pending idea when researching the needs of police officers and riding along with them, during which time he realized officers would be safer with an extra set of eyes watching the area behind their cars, especially at night or when they're completing paperwork, using the in-car computer or handling a radar gun. "Unfortunately, there are people with bad intentions who sneak up on police officers," he says.
