1928 Ford Model A Closed Cab Pickup ( aka Telephone Booth) with Willy’s Jeep  4X4 drive train. I bought this as a project several years ago but have now realized I will never finish it.  The first picture is from when I bought the truck.

This truck is all original Henry Ford Steel except for the firewall and lower cowl panels which were replaced because they had been cut with a torch.  I have removed the original gas tank to make room under the dash.  There is NO rust on the body, fenders, doors, or bed.  The fenders are clean with no cracks, dents, or splits, as are the doors and pickup bed.  Running boards are rust free. There are 2 interconnected fuel tanks installed over the rear axle.

The engine is a 350 cu.in from a ’68 Camaro according to the block casting #’s. Rebuild .30 over with a mild Pro Comp Street cam,  camel hump heads  with 1.94 Intake and 1.5 inch exhaust valves, Edelbrock intake, and 4 bbl. carb. Custom exhaust manifolds.

Transmission is a rebuilt T-90 3 speed.  Transfer case is a rebuilt Dana T-18.  Rear end is rebuilt with 3.73 gears. I have the gear set to rebuild the front dif from stock Willys 5.38 to 3.73.  New drive shafts front and rear.

The pictures speak for themselves.  There are lots of new, still in the box, parts including Griffin radiator, Chrome radiator grill, wiring harness, VDO gauges, seat, Ididit tilt steering column, custom steering wheel, new power brake / clutch master cylinder set, New chrome alternator, electric fuel pump, headlight halogen inserts, new tail lights, steel floor panels,  4 brand new tires, etc.

All old parts were bagged and labeled.  I’ve have over $20k in this project.

Brought from California and showing a CA DMV Serial #.  I have a clear Colorado title showing this truck registered as a 1928 Ford Model  A pickup.

The reserve is well below my investment cost.  Please don’t waste my time with low ball offers.

Thanks for looking.  Happy bidding.

2014 Ford Fiesta ST

Tue, 15 Oct 2013

I'm not overly inclined to professional jealousy, as a rule. Sure, I go a bit green around the eyes when Ramsey draws the 911 GT3 trip to Weissach, Harley is tapped-in to drive a completely stunning Porsche 911 by Singer, or, you know, Drew Phillips gets to shoot a Lamborghini Veneno in the middle of a desert like some sort of sheik. I hate you guys...
Honestly though, one of the new car events that dug me the most, was when our Steven J. Ewing got to fling the Ford Fiesta ST around some hot corner of Europe. What goes around comes around, I suppose, as Mr. Ewing himself espoused an envious nature of the Focus ST trip that came before.
The good news in all this covetous intra-office behavior? All the cars mentioned, and specifically the Fiesta ST, are just wonderful to drive. I can say that with more confidence than ever now, having joined Ford for a good bit of Fiesta-flinging myself. In my case, the locale was slightly more pedestrian (Michigan not Portugal), and the car in question was the five-door version of the Fiesta ST that we get here in The States, as opposed to the three-door number they get across the pond.

Toyota sells six of 10 of hybrids in California

Wed, 31 Jul 2013

In an apparent shot back at Ford's increasing market share of electrified vehicles and claim that it accepts more Prius trade-ins for its own hybrids than any other car, Toyota has flexed a muscle and played the numbers game to put the Blue Oval in its place.
Leaning on its hybrid market dominance in California, the Japanese automaker stated that six out of 10 hybrids sold in the Golden State are Toyota models. And it keeps coming: Year-to-date through May 2013, Toyota sold five times more hybrids than Ford. One of every two hybrids in California is a Prius model. In addition, Toyota notes that it has sold 1.5 million Prius vehicles in the US, 90-percent of which are still on the road today.

Ford releases an upgrade kit for the Focus ST, 2015 shows a spike in traffic-related deaths, and the future of Audi is previewed. Autoblog's Greg Migliore recaps the week. Show full video transcript text [00:00:00] Ford releases an upgrade kit for the Focus ST, 2015 shows a spike in traffic-related deaths, and the future of Audi, here's a hint it's electric. I'm Greg Migliore, senior editor at Autoblog with these stories and more for your Autoblog Minute weekly recap. Own a Focus ST but suffer from horsepower envy in anticipation of the Focus RS? Not a problem. A $1,900-kit from the developers at Mountune will boost your hot hatch to 275 hp and 296 pound-feet of torque, when running on 93-octane fuel. Traffic fatalities in 2015 see the largest spike in decades. The report from National Safety Council cites more drivers putting in more miles, and distracted driving as contributing to the 14-percent hike in car-related deaths. Audi plans on releasing a fully electric SUV at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. Those are the highlights from the week that was. Be sure to check in this Saturday for my complete weekly recap.
