Up for auction is another great American classic, brought to you by
Halberd Classics LLC, Antique & Exotic Automobile Brokerage.

This is one of the vehicles listed out of an outstanding collection of 4 Ford Model A Trucks currently listed with our firm.

This wonderful 1928 Ford Model A Pickup Truck has been beautifully restored.  The dark green paint mated with the paint fenders and wheels gives this truck a very impressive appearance.  Whether you are looking for a fun vehicle to take to dinner, attending a steeplechase race, or simply joyriding through town; this 1928 Ford Model A Pickup assures you will be doing it in style.

The body of this 1928 Ford Model A Pickup is very straight in nice condition, however there is bubbling in the paint at the bottom of the doors.  While the truck is incredibly beautiful, as is, these areas will need to be address if someone is looking for a flawless show car.   The paint was correctly done and truly glistens in the sun.  The vinyl top is in excellent condition.  The gold insignia on the side of the cab really pops against the dark green.  Of the entire collection this truck has been a favorite of many.

The interior has been very nicely reupholstered and appears brand new.  The seat was reworked and is very comfortable.  Attention to detail was added in the door panel pockets and nicely done interior panels.  All of the glass was replaced and show no signed of fogging or blistering.  The lights all work just as they should.

Mechanically this 1928 Ford Model A Pickup is very nice.  The motor fires right up each and every time and idles very nicely.  The transmission shifts smoothly through all of the gears and the clutch works just as it should.  The engine was just gone through and tuned up.  Within the last month to make sure this 1928 Ford would be just as reliable for her new owner the spark plugs, cap, rotor, plug strips, etc. were all cleaned and serviced. The fuel tank and lines were all flushed.  The carburetor was fully rebuilt, including all new gaskets.  The oil was changed with the correct non detergent 30W and a brand new battery was installed.

Whether you are looking for a fun vehicle to cruise around town getting attention in, or simply looking to add an incredible vehicle to your collection; this 1928 Ford Model A Pickup is a great choice.

This is a 7 day auction with a fair reserve, so bid with confidence and bid to own.  The vehicle is for sale locally, so we reserve the right to end the auction early, before the reserve is broken. Please feel free to come inspect this 1928 Ford Model A Pickup in person.

Next-gen Ford Cobra Jet development underway, but will it be a Mustang?

Wed, 09 Oct 2013

Ford might be stepping away from the NHRA, but it isn't abandoning drag racing altogether. Hot Rod says that Ford confirmed a next-gen Cobra Jet factory drag racer is in the works, but the report also speculates that a new Cobra Jet could switch away from the Mustang nameplate.
Even though talk of a new Cobra Jet coincides with the all-new 2015 Mustang, the lack of confirmation for the dragster's platform leaves Hot Rod to guess that the car might switch to another platform - specifically a front-drive-based, unibody car like the Fusion or Taurus. We'd hate to think of a world with a NASCAR-ized dragster from Ford Racing, but it's also highly unlikely that the Mustang Cobra Jet would step away from its quarter-mile rivals like the Chevy COPO Camaro and Dodge Challenger Drag Pak.

Motor Trend pits Subaru WRX vs. Ford Focus ST

Thu, 23 Jan 2014

The Ford Focus ST has enjoyed a relatively calm, if brief, reign in the world of hot hatches. With nothing else in the class (in the States, at least) but the aging Mazdaspeed3 and Subaru Impreza WRX and the slow-selling Volkswagen Golf R, the Blue Oval's 252-horsepower five door has been the go-to vehicle for those that don't need the high-octane lunacy (and expense) of the rally bred Subaru Impreza WRX STI and Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X.
Now, though, as the new Subaru WRX (it's not an Impreza anymore, though, neither is it a hatchback...) starts to arrive at dealers, the Focus ST appears to be under threat for the first time. Naturally, Motor Trend is here to figure out which one is the best, with another one of its Head 2 Head videos. Host Jonny Lieberman puts both cars through their paces, going above and beyond, quite literally, at the very end of the video.
