I have a nice 1928 -29 Ford Model A  Coupe / Roadster by that i mean that this a original Ford Model A Sports Coupe that had its wooden roof removed and had the top of the doors removed along with the original windshield posts. With that said the car has a clean Colorado Title that is titled as a 1930 - 31 Ford Model A Coupe that came with the original Ford Model A chassis. This chassis has a 2 inch lowered front crossmember that has also been pushed forward about for inches gives the car a nice stance and also lengthens the wheel base and makes it a smooth ride. The center crossmember is stock and also the rear crossmember but booth have been fully welded and the frame was fully boxed from front to rear on a jig to prevent any twisting.

Starting at the front of the car :  This car has a original Ford Model A front axle with a reversed eyed possie front spring, The shackles are the new style that allows the spring some side to side movement so the spring doesn't twist. The front axle has new king pin bushing instaled when the car was built 6 years ago along with Speedway new front Spindles. The Front hubs and front brake are both Ford F100 pickup from the 1950's The front rims are original Ford 1940 Steele rims in a 16 inch size. The Front tire are the Firestone Dirt Track Tire from Coker Tires. The Grill is a Brookville metal repo grill has been custom painted with Metallic green paint with Green True Fire paint. The Radiator is a Walker 4 core that was bought brand new when car was built. Has a custom Roadside Werx Fan shroud and runs a electrical fan from a subaru forester easy to fine if need to be replaced. The Headlights are original BLC 5 1/2 inch head lights with custom shock mount and headlight mounts which are made from cast Alum.

Next the Motor & Drive Train

The Motor is a 1952 Ford Flathead V8 that has been bored out to 3 3/4 inches just under the big bore sizes. Make the car still very drivable and not have to worry about over heating problems. The Motor has New Egge pistions mounted to the original rods that have been balanced and checked for straightness. The Crank is a stock Ford 3 3/8 from this motor originally. The Motor runs a Isky jr 1 grind cam with matched valve springs from Isky. The Valves and the Guides are all special the Guides all have been fluted and polished for better Air flow , the Valves are all Stainless valves with new 3 angle Valve seats in the block to run on the new style gas.  The Heads are Offenhauser 400 Alum heads with ARP head bolts the heads have been machine for the high lift cam.  The intake is a Offenhauser spread port intake that accepts the alternator with 2 original stromberg 97 carbs with offenhauser carb linkage. The hole motor has really Metal polished Acorns over the hole motor. The carbs have 2 very nice Muroc air scoops The Motor has a Joe Hunt protronics Ignition with 8mm wires makes this motor run like a mad dog . The motor has the large truck water pumps and large belt. The carbs are feed from a sharpe Alum fuel block with a Moon eye pressure gauge and there is also 2 Moon gauge for temp readings in the head of the Motor. The Motor runs perfect and only has 1600 mile on the whole car and motor . This Motor has the large 11 inch clutch and flywheel and is connected to a original Ford 1939 Toploader Transmission with the 78 case witch is stronger with the rib in the case transmission works great. This transmission is a 3 speed transmission witch works great around the city. The rear axle on this car is a original Ford 1934 rear banjo has has 4:11 gears and Ford original 1940 juice brakes. The torque was cut down and rewelded in order to make it fit in this Model A. Rear rims are original Ford 1940's steele with Firestone piecrust tires from Coker tires .

The Body is a Original Ford 1928 -29 coupe body that was cut down back in the 50's along with the other body work on the lower part of the car. The rear of the car has a original rear trunk lid that I reskined this winter the reason for the primer. This car has no bondo in it at all this car was soda blaster then primed then painted with 1994 jeep grand cherokee green with a flatner in the clear coat so what you see is what you get not hiding any problem spots. With a bit more time on the body this car could look bad ass I just wanted a Hot Rod i could drive to the store or where ever and not have to worry about someone messing with the car. The Front windshield is off another car that i am not sure about but the hole windshield frame is made out of brass and has new safety glass installed. The seats are made from Metal to look like vintage bomber seat that has Metal turning around the whole interior of the Hot Rod with a super nice brown Leather that is used in the seats and the upper arm rest area. The stearing wheel is a 15 inch bell like steering wheel from Lime Works with a spinel shaft the make the steering wheel removable from the car for safety. The dash has a original Aristocrate dash made for Model A in the day with new style Winged Gauges from Steward Warner with a new style wiring harness with new style fuse that harness is a HayWire Harness with all the wires labeled. Rear tail lights are Original 1939 tear drop tail lights with glass lens the turn signal lights are from denver colorado turn signal company and have glass lens that say turn.
The rear gas tank is a poly 15 gallon tank with vented cap so its nice and safely and no metal rust or dirt to get in the motor. Also this motor has a electrical fuel pump with 3 fuel filter for protection of the motor. Also runs a new Battery a red to Optima

Leno drives Henry Ford II's all-original '52 Ferrari 212 Barchetta

Tue, 17 Jun 2014

The story of the relationship between Henry Ford II and Enzo Ferrari is absolutely fascinating. The two great men of the auto industry had what appeared to be a burgeoning friendship until Ferrari pulled out of a deal to sell his company to Ford in the '60s. The latest car featured in Jay Leno's Garage is a 1952 Ferrari 212 Barchetta that tells the very beginnings of that story.
This Prancing Horse was a gift to Ford from Enzo when the two companies were first thinking about merging, according to the curator of the Petersen Automotive Museum. Ferrari really wanted to show off its best so instead of the 212's normal V12, this car was fitted with the larger 2.7-liter unit from a Ferrari 225. The car has been almost unaltered since then. It still wears its original paint, and it's tires date back to 1954.
The great thing about the Petersen is that unlike a lot of auto museums, the people there actually drive the cars and keep them in working order. Once on the road with Leno behind the wheel, this Ferrari really sings. Unfortunately, he can't open it up too much because the 60-year-old tires really hold things back. Scroll down to watch this amazing piece of automotive history and learn it's possible effect on the styling of the original Ford Thunderbird.

What an Atlas-based Ford F-150 might look like

Thu, 27 Jun 2013

Just ahead of January's Detroit Auto Show, surprising rumors pegged Ford as revealing some sort of F-150 concept, perhaps as a hurried effort to deflate some of the buzz building around General Motors' new Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra twins, which were also making their auto show debut. Those rumblings turned out to be true, as Ford rolled into the Motor City with its Atlas concept (inset, right), touting the truck's bold styling as a precursor to the next-generation F-Series.
The show truck featured all kinds of clever details, including active wheel shutters and a front air dam that raised and lowered to improve aerodynamics while preserving off-road ability. It also had a genuinely snarly face. And it's that pugnacious snout that may well be on its way to production. The good folks at TopSpeed have worked up the plausible-looking artist's rendering above by cross-referencing the Atlas concept with what little has been revealed from recent spy shots. The look is toned-down pretty dramatically from the concept truck, but its Atlas roots are clear, with a massive three-bar grille and bracket-shaped headlamps hiding a next-generation EcoBoost engine. In the rendering, the show truck's deeply contoured hood and roofline have been ditched and larger, more traditional side mirrors have been fitted - all likely concessions in the move to production sheetmetal.
While Ford has yet to officially announce when it will unveil the 2015 F-150, all signs point to next year's Detroit Auto Show - one year after the Atlas shrugged off GM's new pickups.

2015 Ford Mustang GT road test ride-along

Wed, 24 Sep 2014

You've no doubt already pored over our first drive of the 2015 Ford Mustang, where author Jonathon Ramsey proclaimed that "this new car shames the old, redefines the model and gallops far ahead of anything else in the segment." And following Ramsey's first stint behind the wheel of Ford's new coupe, we sent him back out with another 'Stang to capture some of these same impressions over a backdrop of the car moving quickly along gorgeous California canyon roads.
But this also gave our author and editors time to read through the hundreds of comments left on that original Mustang review. You readers are indeed a vocal bunch, and one particular comment about how the automotive media is so willing to bash an outgoing car as soon as the new one arrives really caught our attention. In this video, Ramsey stands by his written text, saying the new Mustang is "massively better than the one it replaces," and in doing so, addresses your comments while providing more insight into just how good the Ford truly is.
We won't spoil the rest for you. Check out the feature video above, and as always, leave us your thoughts in the Comments section below.
