I am selling this car for a friend of mind and know much about the car.  What we have here is a Beautiful 1964 Galaxie 500 Conv.  My friend spent over two years restoring this car to the condition you see in the pictures.  Money was not a factor in this restore, ie as the restoration progressed whatever it needed it got and more. There was no shortcuts here.  He wanted a car that would standout at the car shows and that he did accomplish.  And Yes he did bring home the awards.
Now a little about the car, It has a Burgundy Metallic Urethane 2 stage Dupont paint schedule, The car was stripped to bare metal, all defects repaired, primered and painted, wet sanded with 2000 paper and buffed and glazed to a mirror finish.
Equipped with a 5.0 fuel injected motor from a 1988 Tbird and totalled rebuilt, mated to a 3 speed automatic overdrive transmission fully rebuilt. .Special Alum radiator, Equipped  with dual exhaust, power steering, power brakes, Foose wheels, low profile tires, Every thing on the motor was rebuilt or new.
He carefully crafted a 1963 Tbird hood scoop on the 64 hood  and it looks great.
Looking inside it has a 1964 TBird  dash and console fitted and it looks like it was always there. It has a full custom upholstery inside and the shift lever is in the console like the Tbird.
The  motor compartment is detailed out to the max as is the trunk section, front end is totally rebuilt, shocks,  exhaust is new also. All stainless trim was repaired and buffed to a mirror finish.  Bumpers and other chrome parts were triple chrome plated, New top, pads,  new top motor. New Boot for top.  Look at the pictures and you will see what I mean.  It has less than 1000 carefully miles and it runs perfect.
This car could not be replaced for double the Reserve I have on this car

Ford begins testing right-hand-drive Mustang

Wed, 20 Aug 2014

Ford has officially kicked off testing of the right-hand-drive variant of its sixth-generation, 2015 Mustang, according to a statement issued by the company, which came with the above photo.
According to Ford, this will mark the first time a right-hand-drive 'Stang has traveled down the company's assembly line alongside its LHD brethren. It is far from the first of the legendary pony cars to feature its wheel on the wrong side, though, as converters in RHD markets across the globe have been making swaps for years.
Ford is planning on using the white, droptop Mustang for RHD development ahead of the car's arrival in the UK, Australia and South Africa, among other markets. Scroll down for the official press blast.

Ken Block ain't got a care about ruining his wheels

Tue, 22 Jan 2013

During a drifting session at Irwindale Speedway in California, Ken Block made a boo-boo that would send a number of drivers immediately back to the infield. But there's an answer to "What do you do when you bash the wall while drifting and your wheel explodes?" and there's completely different answer when the question begins with the phrase, "When you're Ken Block..."
Instead of us telling you how Block handled the calamity in his Ford Fiesta competition car, you can watch it happen in the video below. You can probably also guess what it is - but it's more fun to watch.

2015 Ford Focus ST gets sleeker style, improved dynamics

Thu, 26 Jun 2014

The Brits don't really have a major auto show these days. Not in a conventional sense, anyway, with stationary vehicles under floodlights in a closed exposition space. What they do have, you could argue, is much better: the Goodwood Festival of Speed, where the public can view the latest machinery not only under an open sky, but in motion as well, speeding up Lord March's front lawn. And this year, British automakers are rolling in with some very enticing new metal.
In the past few days alone we've confirmed the McLaren 650S GT3 and MSO, Jaguar F-Type Project 7, Range Rover Sport SVR and Ariel Ace will all be revealed for the first time at Goodwood this weekend. Ford isn't, strictly speaking, a British automaker, but for all its history in the UK, it might as well. So it's chosen Goodwood as the site to unveil its refreshed Focus ST.
The upgraded Blue Oval hot hatch still packs a 2.0-liter turbo four with 252 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque driving through a six-speed manual to the front wheels, so we're not expecting much change in measurable performance. But Ford has given the new Focus ST a new front suspension setup and a new electric power-assisted steering rack that combine to promise improved handling.
