1967 Ford Galaxie 500 LTD; 390 V8, Factory A/C 125k

Up for sale is a great running and and driving Galaxie.  The car starts right up and drives wonderfully.  The exterior is rough but we left it that way so people can see what's there and what needs to be done.

Drivetrain
There's a small coolant leak from either the radiator or the trans cooler.
The 390 v8 sounds great, runs well, doesn't smoke, use oil or overheat.  Probably needs an alternator because the alternator light is on.  The transmission shifts well and easily goes into reverse and drive.

Interior
The interior is in great shape for its age, the AM radio works, the horn works, the interior lights work.  The blower motors works.  The rear seat belts are still in there original packaging.  The headliner has a rip.   Carpet is in good shape,  the back door panels need the armrests and window cranks installed but they are there.  Sadly the clock does not work.

Exterior
The exterior is in rough shape, the car needs a new vinyl top along with a paint job and the body work that goes along with that.  90% of the trim is there and the chrome may be able to be polished or rechromed but everthing is there.

Feel free to come and drive this car before you buy it but please be aware that after driving it you will most likely fall in love with the her.

Ford F-150 pulls semi truck through snow-clogged Chicago streets

Wed, Feb 4 2015

Earlier this week, the Midwest was crippled by a massive snowstorm that dumped a foot or more of powder in some areas. The result was, of course, transportation gridlock. It's a fortunate thing for this stranded semi-truck driver, then, that a Ford F-150 EcoBoost stumbled upon him. Despite a tow rating of just over 11,000 pounds, the four-wheel-drive, turbocharged pickup managed to dislodge the big rig from a snow-covered street. Of course, the Ford didn't get the semi moving all on its own – watch the video towards the end and the semi was quite clearly spinning its rear tires. Still, it's an impressive feat that we've little doubt F-Series fans are celebrating. Related video:

Ford Fusion and Fusion Hybrid nab five-star ratings from NHTSA

Thu, 24 Jan 2013

Ford's Fusion and Fusion Hybrid have both received the highest five-star overall safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The rating is a big upgrade for the Fusion, which was completely redesigned for 2013. The previous model fell one star short of the top rating, after scoring only three stars in the frontal crash test and four stars in the side crash test and rollover evaluations. The 2013 Fusion received four stars in side crash and rollover testing and a full five stars in the front crash test.
Test results for the 2013 Fusion and Fusion Hybrid were greatly improved at least in part due to Ford's Personal Safety System. The system utilizes smarter sensors to gather crash data and tailor the car's restraint systems to the occupants. Seatbelt usage and seat position are taken into account to ensure airbags deploy with less pressure for smaller drivers, more for larger drivers.
The 2013 Fusion twins also received the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety Top Safety Pick+ designation. Read the official press release below.

Chris Harris drives the 2015 Ford Mustang Over There

Thu, Jul 30 2015

Ford makes some cars for America, and some cars for overseas. Sometimes those models cross over the ocean in one direction or another, but the Mustang has historically been a pony car meant for America. That all changes with the new model, though. It's not that Ford didn't design the new Mustang for American customers – it's just that it also refined it for markets overseas that aren't quite used to the live-axle brutality to which muscle car enthusiasts in the US have grown accustomed. Now that the Mustang is being offered in Europe – and in the UK with right-hand drive – it was only a matter of time before Chris Harris got his hands on one. And that's just what he's done for this latest video clip, taking a Mustang GT for a spin on both road and track in Wales. That's right, Harris is piloting the V8 model, not the EcoBoost four. So what does he think about an American expat shipped to the British isles? You'll want to watch the ten-minute clip yourself to gather his full impressions. But the long and short of it is that, while Harris doesn't think it's quite the match for something like a BMW M3, the Mustang doesn't cost anywhere near as much as the Bimmer. And that goes a long way, especially with all that rubber laid down on the track in the process.
