1964 Galaxie 2 Dr Hardtop on 2040-cars
Corpus Christi, Texas, United States
Here is a great 64 Galaxie , I have had it for about 3 years , has new rear quarter lower panels replaced , no rust , great shape.
I have original split bench seat , as well as a set of power buckets from a 64 Tbird , center console with all trim. I installed new carpet , and have all associated trim , screws , etc... Has 4 bbl , 352 original engine. It runs and drives and will make a great weekend cruiser. I have a 1969 Thunderjet 429 engine and C6 transmission that I will sell for an additional 1500 over selling price of car , should buyer be interested. Since this is an original drivetrain car , I just couldn't bring myself to modify the car. bumpers were rechromed , has new brake booster , new front windshield ( and a spare original ) Upholstery on bench seats appears original and in flawless condition. selling as is.... This car sold on Ebay , a few months back and the buyer decided to dictate payment terms to me ....not how it goes , I was nice enough not to file a non paying bidder claim but if you buy the car it needs to be paid for prior to pick up. I " ENCOURAGE" prospective buyers to come look , or at least request specific photos prior to purchase *** Car is a great value at reserve price *** Look at the pictures and ask me any questions you would like to ... The final photo is an example of how nice this car can be .....No you are not going to buy a restored 64 Galaxie at the price I have this car listed ...but this is the best deal on Ebay at this price 281-620-6519 Mark |

Meet Shelby Mustang GT500 Miller, Iowa's latest hatchet-wielding criminal
Fri, Jul 11 2014Well, we've found the long-lost cousin of yesterday's Bentley-tattooed criminal from Florida. This is Shelby Mustang GT500 Miller. No, seriously. While his name seems just like the sort of thing we'd expect the Sunshine State to produce, he actually hails from Iowa. Despite coming from the Hawkeye State, Miller was arrested for a decidedly Floridian offense – getting in a bar fight and then returning with a hatchet. The only way this story could be more Florida is if meth, a manatee or bath salts were involved. The fight, which was at the Cheap Seats Sports Bar, started off typically enough, with a verbal argument in the parking lot (please, please let his nemesis be named "Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 Smith"). This, naturally, attracted passing police officers. Things were broken up and some friends took Miller to his home, which was apparently just behind the bar. That's when he returned with the hatchet tucked under his shirt. Miller promptly proceeded to take out the implement of destruction in the bar's bathroom and... forget about it entirely. Fortunately, the police hadn't left the area yet. Not surprisingly, Miller was arrested for a parole violation, as well as public intoxication and going armed with intent. Still, cool name, bro. Next-gen Ford Cobra Jet development underway, but will it be a Mustang?
Wed, 09 Oct 2013Ford might be stepping away from the NHRA, but it isn't abandoning drag racing altogether. Hot Rod says that Ford confirmed a next-gen Cobra Jet factory drag racer is in the works, but the report also speculates that a new Cobra Jet could switch away from the Mustang nameplate.
Even though talk of a new Cobra Jet coincides with the all-new 2015 Mustang, the lack of confirmation for the dragster's platform leaves Hot Rod to guess that the car might switch to another platform - specifically a front-drive-based, unibody car like the Fusion or Taurus. We'd hate to think of a world with a NASCAR-ized dragster from Ford Racing, but it's also highly unlikely that the Mustang Cobra Jet would step away from its quarter-mile rivals like the Chevy COPO Camaro and Dodge Challenger Drag Pak.
Project Ugly Horse: Part VI
Thu, 21 Mar 2013Solid axle? What solid axle?
I was fully prepared to embark on a seven-day journey down a rabbit hole of broken bolts, internet hearsay and consternation.
This should not have gone this easily. Having a long and checkered history of simple projects punctuated by much wailing and gnashing of knuckles, I was fully prepared to embark on a seven-day journey down a rabbit hole of broken bolts, internet hearsay and consternation when I finally decided to lay hands on the '89 Mustang with the goal of relieving the car of its stock rear axle. Instead, it took less than a full morning's worth of work to carve the old 7.5-inch solid axle from its moorings and mock up something, well, different.
