NO RESERVE AUCTION!

Time to make a little room in the shop.   Up for sale is a beautiful Black 1963 galaxie that has been well taken care of over the years. Rare 300 trim level which would be correct for a old hiway patrol car clone or movie car. Original color exterior and interior. Runs and  drives great. Has had a front disc brake conversion so it also stops very well and makes for a safe family cruiser. 352 V8/automatic trans,  gauges, lights, horn, signals etc. all work as they should. Brand new wheels and tires, New muffler, filters, tune up, etc. Ready to drive anywhere.

It is a West coast car originally bought within 40 miles of us and has been local here its whole life. Due to this fact the galaxie is a nice solid rust free car. All original sheet metal and floors.  It has had one repaint that we had done about two years ago. It is basecoat/clear coat paint and the correct color for this car, Black. Car is very straight and not full of dings and dents. The trim on the car is about as perfect as you will find. Chrome is nice with virtually zero pitting and is original!   The interior only required light work that included recovering the seats and installing new carpet.  The new headliner is not currently installed but is included with the car (can have it installed before it ships, at extra charge after the sale)  Car is being sold with the buyers choice of the brand new set of 18" wheels and tires shown OR the original set of wheels with nice condition hubcaps and brand new tires. Buyer will need to let us know at end of auction if they would rather have the stock wheels installed before it ships.

We try very hard to represent these cars exactly as they are and to the best of our knowledge.  What we look for in a buyer is a nice smooth transaction that meets required timeframes as listed in ebay description. This is a no reserve auction and if you have the hight bid at auction close you own it. The car is for sale locally and subject to local sale prior to auction end.   We can take care of setting up transportation in the u.s. or world wide.  We also offer low cost transport to any of the westcoast ports for our international buyers.

Good luck and happy bidding!!

Martin Smith retires, Joel Piaskowski in as Ford Europe design chief

Thu, 29 May 2014

The mind behind the look of much of the modern Ford global range is retiring. Martin Smith, Head of Ford Design in Europe, will give up his position on July 1 and will leave the company altogether at the end of the year. He will be replaced by current Strategic Concepts Group leader Joel Piaskowski (pictured above).
Smith has led Ford of Europe design for the past 10 years, and he was partially responsible for the brand's Kinetic Design language with a large grille and swept-back headlights found on the Focus, Fiesta and C-Max, as well as several other vehicles abroad. After stepping down on July 1 until his retirement at the end of 2014, Smith will work on a project to decide the future direction of the company's look with Moray Callum, its vice president of design.
Piaskowski already has some impressive credentials in terms of automotive design as well. He joined Ford in 2010 as director of exterior design and led the teams responsible for the 2015 Ford Mustang and next-generation F-150. He was also previously design director at Ford Asia Pacific. Before working at the Blue Oval, Piaskowski held positions at Mercedes-Benz, Hyundai and General Motors. Scroll down to read the complete announcement of this changing of the guard.

Ford Mustang to get four-cylinder in Europe, but not US

Thu, 07 Mar 2013

Fans of the Ford Mustang SVO, which was produced from 1884 through 1986 with a turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine and a manual transmission, may be interested to know that Ford is reportedly going to introduce something similar for 2015. But don't get too excited if you live in the US, as Edmunds reports that the vehicle will be offered in Europe only. Boo!
According to the report, Ford will put a version of its EcoBoost turbocharged four-cylinder into the engine bay of the Mustang. The engine would be enlarged from its current 2.0 liters to 2.3 liters, taking horsepower from 252 to around 300. The well-known 5.0 V8 engine will also be available in Europe.
"The Mustang is uniquely Ford and has a huge fan base here in Europe. Now those fans have something to look forward to and we look forward to providing more details in the near future," says Ford of Europe CEO Stephen Odell. That's great... but why not offer buyers in the States the (likely) fuel-efficient turbo option, too?
