1963 Ford Galaxie 4 Door Sedan, 352 V8, Automatic This is a very nice 1963 Ford Galaxie 4 door sedan. The car is finished in black with red interior. The car is equipped with the 352 V8 motor and an automatic transmission on the column. The exterior of the car is very nice. All of the gaps line up good and the paint has a great shine to it. The car has like new whitewall tires on it with the full wire wheels. All of the glass on the car is in excellent shape with no cracks or chips anywhere. All of the chrome is in great shape with no rust or pitting. The car is also equipped with dual exhaust that sounds great! There is no rust anywhere on this car. The interior of the car is red. The interior is in excellent condition. There are no rips or tears anywhere. All of the windows go up and down as they should. All of the locks work as they should. The headliner, seats, and carpet are all free from any rips. All of the gauges work excellent. The interior accent lights all work as they should. The odometer works great, and reads 66,XXX miles, which are actual, and listed on the clear PA title. Mechanically, this car is excellent. It just completed a 400 miles round trip and ran with no problems at all. The turn signals, headlights in both high and low beam, and tail lights work as they should. The car goes down the road nice and straight and runs 100%. The radio in the car is not currently hooked up and to the best of my knowledge is the only non working item on the car. My dad and I have been car dealers in Latrobe, PA since 1989. We buy, sell, and collect old cars as a hobby, and this is not our full time profession. I try very hard to be as accurate as possible in my descriptions of the vehicles I try to sell. At the end of the day this is a 50 year old car. It is not perfect. Please understand what you are buying, and ask any questions before you bid. You are bidding to buy, not to come look. Bid with confidence, this is a great car. Please feel free to email or call me with any questions about this car (724) 771-5170. I have tons of pictures, and will gladly take and send pictures of whatever you'd like. Thank you for taking the time to look at my ad. If you are the winning bidder payment in full is expected with in 7 business days. I will accept cash, certified bank check, or wire transfer only. Thank you! |

Crowdsource funding push on to save historic Ford buildings
Thu, 22 Aug 2013Detroit has no shortage of old, abandoned buildings, both within the city and in the surrounding communities. Few, though, have the historical significance of the old Ford Highland Park facility. Home to the very first moving assembly line, Highland Park was designed by the legendary Albert Kahn, and was one of the homes of the Model T.
Now, the Woodward Avenue Action Association is attempting to buy both the 40,000-square-foot admin building, which is located off the historic Woodward Avenue, and an 8,000-square-foot garage. The WAAA's goal is to convert the buildings into an automotive heritage center. The Detroit News spoke to the interim director of the WAAA, Deborah Schutt, who commented, "[Metro Detroit has] not been very good at telling our own story. So we've decided, let's pull everything together and tell our story."
The WAAA made an offer of $550,000 to buy the two buildings, and has $400,000 from the Michigan Department of Transportation and another $15,000 from the Michigan Economic Development Corporation. It's trying to raise a further $125,000 through crowd-sourcing, starting a campaign called "Five Dollars A Day," after old Hank Ford's $5-per-day wage for line workers.
Toyota, Ford and Honda again top Consumer Reports Car-Brand Perception Survey
Fri, 01 Feb 2013Consumer Reports has released its annual Car-Brand Perception Survey, and the list looks awfully familiar. The top six brands are identical to last year's results, with Toyota, Ford and Honda continuing to occupy the podium. All told, Toyota walked away with 133 points, putting it 15 ahead of second-place Ford. Honda jumped 26 points this year, narrowing Ford's lead to just four points in total.
Consumer Reports polls buyers from across the country on how they see multiple brands in seven categories, including quality, safety, value, performance, design/style, technology/innovation and environmentally friendly/green. Researchers then combine the findings to come up with the total brand score.
While value and performance remain important to buyers, CR found quality and safety are still on top when it comes to significance. Scion and Mitsubishi found themselves at the bottom of the pack with the worst score of all, tied at just six points. Ram, Fiat and Mini filled out the lowest five with scores of seven, eight and 10 points, respectively. You can read the full press release below for more information, or head over to the Consumer Reports site.
Meet Floyd Pullin, 102-year-old honorary president of Ford trucks [w/video]
Wed, 28 Aug 2013When we talk about trucks we often talk about how loyal truck owners are; it's men like Floyd Pullin who provide the proof. The 102-year-old man from Confluence, Pennsylvania has only owned Ford products since the 1920s, and he's done so well by Ford Trucks that the division named him honorary president for a day, not long after he took delivery of his latest ride, a 2013 F-150 STX.
That's the 16th Ford he's owned. If he bought his first when he was 16, he'd have flipped into a new car or truck about every five years. For 86 years. Not a bad run of business for either side.
Ford Trucks made a video to wish Pullin a happy birthday, which was celebrated at his local Ford dealership and was visited by a Pennsylvania state senator. You can watch it below.
