1962 Ford Galaxie 500 Base 5.8l on 2040-cars
Martinsburg, West Virginia, United States
1962 Galaxie 500 Club Sedan
This Ford Galaxie 500 “Club Sedan” is the lowest production of all full-size Fords in 1962. This is a choice example of a rare and seldom-seen car -- a low-mileage survivor treated to a sympathetic restoration of all mechanical and cosmetic components.
This includes a professional rebuild of its 352 V8 (with an Autolite 4 bbl on a “390” intake), full servicing of its Cruise-O-Matic transmission and drivetrain, a new, correct “Dearborn Classics” interior, and comprehensive detailing ready for show or cruising.
Listen to FM tunes on its original radio with converter. All new aluminized exhaust features OEM-quiet mufflers and resonators, and fully “Dynamatted” floor pans mean quiet running.
A dry Southern car, it has never seen rust, body damage, or abuse. All original glass with Ford logos is in perfect condition. You must drive to appreciate; its tight, new-car feel will amaze.
From brakes to u-joints to differential, this car is completely sorted and will provide trouble-free service for years to come with normal maintenance.
The “Chesnut” paint is mostly new, all 5 wheels are painted the correct black with deluxe wheelcovers, and the trunk is detailed including the jack. Even the clock works.
Factory literature included. Not a perfect car -- but it’s hard to find one better than this.

Jurassic Park made a big impact on these Jeep drivers
Thu, 12 Jun 2014For a certain cohort of young folks, Jurassic Park is a touchstone film from their childhood. Not only did it play into practically every little boy's love of dinosaurs, the movie included some great action scenes and special effects that still hold up today. In its latest video, The Aficionauto takes a look the Jurassic Park Motor Pool, a California car club with over 40 fans who created replica vehicles from the iconic film.
The club is made up of an interesting cross-section of people. Many of them were Jeep Wrangler fans that already loved off-roading and Jurassic Park, and liked the idea of bringing them together. Like any close-knit club, it ends up being about community and people coming together to share their interests. It's quite a heartwarming video. Also, be sure to stay until the end because The Aficionauto teases a future Jurassic Park-themed vehicle. Scroll down to check out the motor pool.
Watch Tanner Foust hustle the Fiesta ST 'round the 'Ring
Mon, 15 Jul 2013The last time we saw Tanner Foust at the Nürburgring he was sloshing an SVT Raptor from kerb to kerb. Sticking with Ford but swapping keys, this time the drift champion and Top Gear USA host goes to the opposite end of the manufacturer's tuner garage and plucks a Fiesta ST for 'Ring duty.
The 179-horsepower front-wheel-driver acquits itself well by the end of the video. But be warned, Foust doesn't set a 'Ring time and it's shot like a commercial... because that's what it is. Still, you can enjoy all two minutes and 31 seconds of it below.
2014 Ford Fiesta Titanium
Mon, 28 Oct 2013You might not be interested in owning a subcompact (B-segment) hatchback for $20,000. Let's be clear from the get go here: there are any number of reasonable arguments for staying away from the highest-content versions of these small cars. Ford's player in the B-segment arena is the newly updated 2014 Fiesta, and the Titanium trim represents the most luxurious instantiation of the model. We recently were loaned a Fiesta Titanium for a week, whose final sticker price hit $20,390, with navigation being the only standalone option added to the bottom line. By way of comparison, the most basic version of the all new, one-segment-up Mazda3 hatchback costs $19,740 with delivery and destination accounted for, and no options added on.
Hold on to that thought for a moment, we'll get back to it.
