Somerville, New Jersey, United States
Re-listing this Ford due to a non-buyer that cannot read and view pictures.1960 Ford Galaxie Sunliner Convertible, I have owned this Ford since 1997, bought at an Estate Sale, last titled in 1967. Equipped with a 292 V8, Automatic, had it running last summer, trans fluid looks like just out of the can. This Ford has power steering, power brakes, power top. PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING CAREFULLY, AND LOOK AT THE PICTURES BEFORE YOU BID. ASK ANY QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE TO BE SURE OF WHAT YOU ARE BIDDING ON. This Galaxie has a title, it is from Pa. 1967, my name was put on it in 1997, I am not sure if it is negotiable at all in NJ in 2014. So figure the title is messed up. The engine will run, the trans is good I drove it once, The FRAME IS EXCELLENT. The body is rough, has lots of rust, look at the pictures carefully, if you don't understand a lot of rust please do not bid. This car is restorable, but a major project, or patch her up, and make the ultimate RAT ROD, many parts are interchangeable with a 1960 Edsel Convertible, make the ultimate clone. This Ford is being sold AS IS, No Warranty Either Express or Implied, no negative feedback bids will be accepted, if you have 0 feedback you must contact me first before bidding. A $500.00 pay pal deposit is required at close of auction by winning bidder, payment within 3 days of auction close. I have a 100% positive feedback and want to keep it that way, please be serious about bidding this is a contract, if you cant afford it or cant ship it , don't bid on it. Thanks and good luck |

New UAW boss Williams talks tough, vows 'no more concessions'
Sun, 08 Jun 2014Dennis Williams, the newly elected president of the UAW, had some tough words for American automakers in his inauguration speech at the 2014 UAW Convention, striking down the possibility of any additional concessions from the 400,000-strong union.
"No more concessions. We are tired of it. Enough is enough," Williams said during his speech. UAW employees have not received a raise in nearly 10 years, according to Reuters.
Considering the recent strong results for Ford, Chrysler and General Motors, the union's demands are likely to carry a bit more weight in next year's negotiations. And considering Williams' tough stance, we could be in for some fireworks once negotiations commence.
Ford announces 2014 F-150 SVT Raptor Special Edition
Tue, 09 Apr 2013Ford has pulled the wraps off its anticipated 2014 F-150 SVT Raptor Special Edition model, a new variant of the popular street-legal off-road specialist. In a nutshell, the "special" is all cosmetic - there are no mechanical upgrades to the truck and its 6.2-liter V8 (411 horsepower and 434 pound-feet of torque), Torsen limited-slip differential, beadlock-capable wheels and internal triple-bypass FOX Racing Shox dampers all remain untouched.
The SVT Raptor Special Edition, which adds cosmetic enhancements to the existing Luxury Package, will be offered in Ruby Red Metallic and Tuxedo Black Metallic with box-side graphics. The interior upgrades include Brick Red seat bolsters (with black inserts), cloth honeycomb highlights and a console top finish panel.
As of now, Ford has only release a couple pictures of the Special Edition model. But check back later, as we will update the gallery when additional high-res images are released later today, and be sure to peruse the press release below for all the details.
Ford's cars being held up in Chinese ports in trade tensions with U.S.
Wed, May 9 2018BEIJING — Ford Motor Co's imported vehicles are being held up at Chinese ports, three people with knowledge of the matter told Reuters, underscoring how U.S. goods are facing increased customs scrutiny in China amid a tense trade standoff. The three people said Ford and Lincoln vehicles were facing unusual delays at customs, with officials asking for extra technical checks. Two of the people said U.S.-made models of some German carmakers, mainly SUVs, being brought into China, were also affected. Ford was being asked to do extra checks on emission components, said a China-based Ford executive familiar with the matter, asking not be named because of the sensitivity of the issue. China's customs agency did not immediately respond to requests for comment. The holdups add to a growing list of American products facing issues at China's borders, as officials try to avert a full-blown trade war. Some trade experts said they believe Beijing is sending a defiant warning to Washington in response to sweeping U.S. trade demands made on China last week. Reuters reported Tuesday that China had ramped up inspections of pork shipped from the United States, after the country's customs agency said it would step up quarantine checks on American apples and logs. The second person, a China-based industry official with knowledge of the matter, said the delays for Ford — as well as some U.S.-made cars from BMW and Mercedes-Benz — had been going on for the last two weeks. "Customs pretends there are technical non-conformities of some nature that won't allow them to clear these U.S.-made cars through customs, but the U.S.-China trade frictions must be the background to this," he said. "Although no one will officially admit it." Responding to a request for comment from Reuters, a BMW spokesman said that "U.S.-made BMW cars have not been delayed at the ports as of last week and before." A Daimler spokeswoman said it was "monitoring the situation closely" regarding ongoing trade talks between China and the United States, but that she could not speculate further on other matters. The third person said the Ford issue, which had been noted by the United States government, and other holdups facing American goods, were clearly related to the trade dispute. A Ford spokeswoman in Shanghai when asked about the matter said: "We are closely monitoring our situation at the port." She declined to comment further.
