For sale is a 2005 sage-exterior/tan-interior Ford Freestar SLE Passenger Van. The van has just under 90,000 miles on it. No rust other than a slight blemish on the body just forward of the driver side rear tire well. We are the 2nd owners of this vehicle with original carfax.  We purchased this van as a low-cost option while our 2002 Pontiac Montana minivan was off the road for a few months due to the need for replacement of its intake manifold gasket.  There have been no accidents, issues or damage to the this Freestar since we purchased it. We are selling the Freestar now because we wanted a van that will last us 10+ years.  Being in a better financial position now compared with 2 years ago, we recently went out and bought a new van so we no longer need this one.  It will serve your family well like it did ours for the last 2+ years.

This van is in GREAT shape, much like you would expect to find it when buying it from a reputable used-car dealership.

- 7 Passenger seating with fold-into-floor rear bench seat
- Air Conditioning, Cruise Control, Power Windows and Power Locks
- 4 new 65K mile tires
- 4 wheel alignment done with the purchase of the 4 new tires
- New calipers, rotors and brake pads on the rear tires
- New rotors and brake pads on the front tires
- Oil newly changed
- Fully cleaned (detailed inside and out)
- Runs GREAT

This really is a great van at a very good price that we wouldn't be selling if not for the new van we just purchased.  It is available for a test drive by scheduled appointment.

Payment must be made by cash or certified check.  Two forms of ID with one form being a picture ID must be presented to ensure buyer identify.

Ford trademarking 'Mach 1,' possibly for Mustang

Thu, 24 Oct 2013

A legendary name might be accompanying the redesigned, 2015 Mustang when it finally makes its world debut - Mach 1. Stumbled upon by the team at Ford Authority, the Mach 1 title was found in a trademark filing with the US Patent and Trademark Office, and would revive a name last used on the fourth-generation, 2003 Mustang.
While the the 2003 vintage was well and good, the Mach 1 is really remembered for a three-year run from 1969 to 1971 - it's best to just forget the emissions-choked 1972 to 1978 Mach 1s - when power output ranged from a modest 250 horsepower with the two-barrel, 351-cubic-inch Windsor V8 to "375 hp" (actual output was rumored to be well north of 400 horsepower) with the righteous, 429-cubic-inch Super Cobra Jet V8.
What does the title hold for the sixth-generation Mustang? It's tough to say. The fanatics at Ford Authority seem to think Mach 1 could take the place of the Shelby GT500 at the top of the Mustang hierarchy, which sounds like a valid argument. At the same time, we could see the SVT Cobra moniker returning for the flagship model, and the Mach 1 doing battle with the Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 (unless the Boss 302 were to return). Confounding things is the historical precedent - the Mach 1 was responsible for the death of the Mustang GT in 1969, so it might make sense as a volume performance model.

Watch these videos of an NHRA racer's bodywork blowing off into a crowd

Tue, 23 Apr 2013

Just a few months ago, fan safety at racetracks was a hot topic following the last-lap NASCAR Nationwide Series crash at Daytona that sent large pieces of racecars into the grandstands injuring 33 fans. Now, a freak incident at a National Hot Rod Association event resulted in a drag racer's bodywork flying into the crowd at the NHRA Four-Wide Nationals in Charlotte over the weekend. The carbon-fiber body of Robert Hight's Ford Mustang funny car blew off toward the end of a run when his engine exploded, but fortunately, the two fans evaluated after the incident were later released without serious injury.
As you can see in the image above, the body flew high into the air before landing on a walkway in front of the grandstands, a bit of happenstance that likely gave most fans enough time and space to move out of the way. Scroll down to watch a couple of videos showing what happened, including one from a fan's perspective that also reveals what appears to be part of the body's metal bracing landing dangerously close to the crowd.

Ken Block ain't got a care about ruining his wheels

Tue, 22 Jan 2013

During a drifting session at Irwindale Speedway in California, Ken Block made a boo-boo that would send a number of drivers immediately back to the infield. But there's an answer to "What do you do when you bash the wall while drifting and your wheel explodes?" and there's completely different answer when the question begins with the phrase, "When you're Ken Block..."
Instead of us telling you how Block handled the calamity in his Ford Fiesta competition car, you can watch it happen in the video below. You can probably also guess what it is - but it's more fun to watch.
