Ztw. Wagon on 2040-cars
New Hyde Park, New York, United States
This car was passed onto me by my father when he retired. He was the first owner of this car, he bought it from Ford in 2003 with 15 miles on it. This was one of his company vehicles for window treatments, measuring installations. Been off Long Island one time. The battery is dead bc the alternator needs to be replaced. The brakes need a servicing from sitting the past year. And you're pretty much road ready. If I do the work myself I would ask more money. Just too much goin on at the moment. Was last on then road December 2012. Blue book value puts it over $5,000 with the low mileage. Tires are good, just low from sitting thru the winter. Great car for a student who travels or a daily work commuter.
Body is in pretty good condition. Minor damage on r/s and top of hood. Happened on the job my dad says from parking in queens over the years. Interior is a little stained on the floor, never really got detailed. It was well maintained throughout the years by ford and my dad's fleet mechanic. Cigarette burn on the driver seat. Overall this is a great car, never really drove it enough to go on about anymore. But with a lil bit of work she can make another 100,000 miles. Clear title and I apologize about the lack of pictures. It recently snowed 12" here on Long Island and a little more expected on Saturday. I will do my best. If you have any questions or concerns please just ask. Buyer must pick up and will hold vehicle for however long if it is paid in full and a future date is arranged. PRICE IS NEGOTIABLE....THROW ME A NUMBER. Put on Craigslist. Not gonna relist item. Vehicle is gonna move to my friends shop, goin to help me sell. |

Ford Focus ST checks into Jay Leno's Garage
Mon, 23 Sep 2013In a change of pace from the high-end vehicles that often appear in Jay Leno's Garage, Ford sends its hottest hatchback (in the US, at least), the 252-horsepower Focus ST, to be featured on Leno's show. Accompanying the five-door hatch is its chief engineer, Jamal Hameedi.
Riding on stylish 18-inch wheels with summer tires and with a spoiler that doubles as a lunch tray, Hameedi and Leno walk us through the finer points of what makes the ST special, which also includes bigger brakes, torque vectoring, a manual transmission and, of course, 252 hp and 270 pound-feet of torque from the 2.0-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine, which is made possible by 21 psi of turbocharged boost.
Watch the video below to see what Leno thinks of the global Focus ST.
Consumer Reports declares most and least loved cars [w/video]
Wed, Dec 3 2014Consumer Reports is crunching the numbers from its annual owner-satisfaction survey, and part of that process is finding out how attached drivers are to their cars. CR simply asks readers of models up to three years old if they would buy the same vehicle again in light of their entire ownership experience, and tallies the results. After looking at the responses for about 350,000 vehicles, it turns out that people really love a certain California-built, electrically powered luxury sedan. That's right, this year's the overall winner was the Tesla Model S with a whopping 98 percent of owners saying they would purchase another one (the Model S also won this award last year, with 99 percent satisfaction). The Chevrolet Corvette Stingray came in a close second with 95 percent of drivers hoping to park another one in their garage. A few models weren't quite so favored, though. The Nissan Versa Sedan was the least loved model among its owners; a mere 42 percent said that they would purchase another. The aging Jeep Compass didn't do much better, with just 43 percent of drivers willing to buy the softroader again. On average, about 70 percent of owners say they would buy their car again, and only four cars ranked below 50 percent in CR's findings. Check out the video above to see some of the winners and losers in a few of CR's categories. If you're a subscriber, you can check out the full list on its website. Ford GT successor to debut in Detroit and go racing
Thu, Dec 18 2014Anticipation for all of the exciting reveals at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show just a few weeks away is building to a fever pitch, and rumors are mounting that Ford has a big surprise in store in the shape of a future performance halo model. Insider sources speaking to Autoweek claim the next Ford supercar is definitely going to be revealed at the Detroit show in early January. However, the model is not necessarily the next-generation Ford GT in terms of its name or design aesthetic. Instead, one of these people indicates that the new halo model might drop retro styling altogether. If the latest reports are to be believed, Ford's high-performance project goes beyond something to just grab headlines and rocket down the street. According to Autoweek, the automaker is also reportedly employing Chip Ganassi Racing to run a two-car racing effort in the Tudor United SportsCar Championship in 2016. That would allegedly include a trip to the 24 Hours of Le Mans to race on the 50th anniversary of the Ford GT40's win in 1966. The speculation goes that at least the racing version might use a twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 for power. However, the motorsports part of the program may not be announced during the auto show reveal. Rumors about the new halo car from the Blue Oval and its racing intentions have been percolating for months. The company might have considered an LMP2 entry, but speculation popped up later about the production supercar. A more recent report suggested that Ford might show a new Shelby GT350R Mustang, a successor to the F-150 Raptor and next Ford GT in Detroit.
