I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE LAST SUMMER FOR A JOB. THAT JOB HAS NOW COME TO A CLOSE AND I NEED TO SELL. EVERYTHING IS WORKING GOOD AS NEW. THE PRICE IS LOW BECAUSE THERE IS A MINOR WINDSHIELD CRACK. COST LESS THAN $500 TO GET FIXED. THERE ARE SOME MINOR DINGS ON THE CAR FROM THE LONG DRIVING. THAT INCLUDED IN THE PICTURES. I DON'T HAVE THE TIME TO FIX AS I AM ON ANOTHER JOB AGAIN. I MOVED TO NEW YORK AND DON'T NEED A CAR. LOOKING TO SELL THIS VERY QUICK. THERE'S IS STILL APPROXIMATELY 12k MILES LEFT ON MANUFACTURES WARRANTY (3 YEARS 36k WARRANTY). I HAVE ALL PROPER MAINTENANCE UP TO NOW. 3 FULL OIL CHANGES EVERY 7k MILES. VEHICLE CHECKS AND INSPECTIONS FROM THE DEALER WHERE I PURCHASED FROM. NO PROBLEMS EVER WITH THIS CAR. GREAT CAR IF YOU DO A LOT OF DRIVING. THE FLEX FUEL COMES IN HANDY WHEN GAS PRICES RISE AGAIN THIS SUMMER. TRUST ME I KNOW!
I WILL HAVE CAR COMPLETELY SHAMPOOED AND DETAILED ONCE PURCHASED. EMAIL ME WITH ANY QUESTIONS. THANKS FOR STOPPING BY.

Focus ST diesel variant coming, just don't look for it here
Fri, 07 Mar 2014A few years back, Volkswagen made some waves when it announced the Golf GTD - a diesel-powered car that, aside from its ultra-efficient, ultra-torquey engine, was identical to the gas-powered GTI. That meant cosseting sport seats, larger wheels, sportier suspension, larger brakes and a body kit that made the GTD indistinguishable from the GTI, except for the three little letters on the back and in the grille.
Now, Ford is looking to replicate VW's success, with a diesel version of the Focus ST. According to Motor Trend, the diesel-powered ST will use a 2.0-liter, 182-horsepower four-cylinder. With an unspecified amount of torque on offer (we'd guess around 280 pound-feet), the diesel hot hatch should hit 62 miles per hour in about eight seconds.
The report, which originally comes from Auto Express, claims the ST Diesel was confirmed by Ford Chief Marketing Officer Mark Fields during this week's Geneva Motor Show. Not surprisingly, it doesn't appear there are any plans to bring a diesel-powered Focus of any kind to the US, let alone one that uses the suspension, steering and other items from the ST. Of course, if there's an official confirmation from Ford, we'll be sure to report on it.
1964 Ford GT40 prototype to be auctioned in April
Wed, 12 Mar 2014The Ford GT40 owns a firm spot on the list of the greatest American racecars ever made, being the first car from the United States to take an overall win in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. And now Mecum will auction what it claims is second-oldest GT40 still in existence at its Houston sale on April 12.
The story of the GT40 is fascinating. Henry Ford II attempted to buy Ferrari in the early '60s, but Enzo refused. Ford decided if he couldn't have them, then he would beat the Prancing Horse on the track. Ford went to Carroll Shelby and asked him to spearhead the program. The early cars combined a steel monocoque chassis with Ford's 4.2-liter V8 engine pumping out around 350 horsepower. The first prototype made its public debuted on April 1, 1964, at the New York Auto Show.
Shelby kept building prototypes, including GT/104, which is for sale here. This version featured a lighter steel chassis and was raced at Le Mans in 1964. However, a fire forced it to retire. It was then repainted and had a 4.7-liter (289-cubic-inch) engine fitted. The chassis had its best finish at the 1965 Daytona Continental 2,000 Kilometers where it finished third with Bob Bondurant and Ritchie Ginther behind the wheel. Later that season, it was shipped back to Ford where it was restored and displayed at auto shows until 1971 when the automaker sold it. Since then, it has had many private owners.
2015 Ford Mustang EcoBoost already hitting 12-second quarters
Sun, 28 Sep 2014The arrival of a new Ford Mustang means many things to many people, but not least of them is drag racers. The pony car has always been a mainstay of the drag strip, and the Ford Racing team aims to carry that reputation forward with this latest generation. So it cooked up a few basic modifications on three new 'Stangs and headed to the strips at US 131 and Milan Dragway to see what they could coax out of 'em.
Impressively, the 5.0-liter V8 Mustang GT with a few modifications (but no forced induction) managed to clock a quarter-mile time of 11.77 seconds. Another Mustang GT fitted with a supercharger clocked a blistering 10.97 seconds. But just as intriguing was the modified EcoBoost model that, with only four cylinders and 2.3 liters of displacement, still passed the gates in just 12.56 seconds - nearly half a second better than expected. This with modification limited to a new subframe, half-shaft, drive shaft loops, exhaust, engine calibration, slicks, roll cage and bucket seat. Well done, boys.
