Fayetteville, Arkansas, United States

2009 Focus SES is the top of the line model.  I always tell everyone this is the nicest version of Ford’s most inexpensive model.  It has every option that Ford offers. Nice car, rides and handles like a much more expensive car.

Options include:

·         17" wheels with top of the line 55,000 mile Michelin tires (40,000 remaining)

·         Sun roof (sliding and flip up options)

·         Sirius Radio

·         6 disc CD changer

·         Leather heated seats

·         Rear Spoiler

·         Ford’s best quality “audiophile” stereo with original factory sub-woofer in trunk

·         5-speed manual transmission

·         Anti-lock brakes with front disc and stability control

·         Factory original stripe on both sides of car

·         34 mpg highway

·         Bluetooth wireless music streaming, hands free phone

·         Sync voice recognition (automatically dials 911 if air bags are deployed)

·         Fog lights

·         Front and side airbags.

This is a one owner adult driven car that I purchased new from the dealership  It rarely carries any passengers and interior is like new condition, never smoked in, no stains or signs of significant wear.  It has been used as my daily driver where it accumulated 75k miles and continues to be driven. There have never been any repair issues, and it runs perfectly.  No door dings, dents or damage.  I change the oil every 5,000 miles with Mobil 1 synthetic.  Oil and filter for next change are included.  Less than 10,000 on new pads and new rotors.

If I remember correctly, the car sold for ~$18k new so this is a great deal at less than half of that.

I'm happy to send as many pictures as you want.

Reserve is well below retail KBB value.  Happy Bidding.  Car is also for sale locally and I will pull the auction if it sells.

2016 Ford Focus RS may yet be AWD, US sales likely

Fri, 29 Aug 2014

When it comes to forbidden fruit, few vehicles are spoken of in as hushed a tone as the Ford Focus RS. The turbocharged, five-cylinder hot hatch could only be seen from afar by American customers as it tore up the roads of Europe. And while it's safe to say that Ford's Yankee fans are quite happy to now be on equal footing with drivers in the old country thanks to the Focus ST, we doubt there'd be much protestation over a successor to the RS arriving stateside.
Of course, we've seen images of the new RS undergoing testing, but a new story by Road and Track aims to fill in some very large blanks in our knowledge of that car, thanks to a pair of mysterious insiders at the Ford. Chief among those is this - the RS will almost certainly make its way to the US, albeit in limited quantities. It gets better, though.
Under hood, the new RS is unsurprisingly expected to borrow the 2.3-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder from the 2015 Ford Mustang and 2015 Lincoln MKC. While that twin-scroll turbo produces 310 horsepower in the Mustang and 285 ponies in the MKC, R&T expects the RS to deliver quite a bit more firepower - 325 to 350 hp, with preference going to the higher output due to the limited-edition nature of the RS. This roughly fits with previous reports.

J Mays retiring from Ford design, succeeded by Moray Callum

Tue, 05 Nov 2013

Ford's highly influential head of design, J Mays, has announced that he'll be retiring from his position after 33 years in the industry, 16 of which were at the Dearborn, MI-based company. Upon departure, he'll be succeeded as group vice president of design by Moray Callum. If that last name sounds familiar, yes, he's the brother of Jaguar's Ian Callum.
It's difficult to explain just how big of a role Mays had on not just Ford's design over the years, but on the entire industry. Before heading to Dearborn, Mays worked for Audi, BMW and then Volkswagen, where he was involved in concept cars that paved the way for design icons like the first-generation Audi TT and the Volkswagen New Beetle. As for his Ford resume, it's extensive.
Mays joined the company in 1997 as design director for Ford, Lincoln, Mercury and Mazda, as well as the Premier Automotive Group (Volvo, Land Rover, Jaguar and Aston Martin). He was heavily involved in the Ford Fusion, Focus, Fiesta, Taurus, F-150 and Mustang, while also contributing to concept cars like the Atlas, Evos, 427, Forty-Nine, Shelby GR-1, Lincoln MKZ and the MKC.

Ford Australia debuts Ranger-based Everest SUV concept

Tue, 13 Aug 2013

Ford has been in hot water in Australia ever since it announced plans to end local production of the Falcon and Territory SUV. Besides canceling a model that is to Oz what the Mustang is to America, the end of production means more than a few folks will be out of work.
Keen to prove that it has a plan for the market, Ford has unveiled the Aussie-penned Everest Concept, a rough-and-tumble, seven-seat SUV. While not a direct replacement for the aging Territory (that role will eventually be filled by either the Edge or Flex, according to Car Advice) it's an indication from Ford's brass that the Blue Oval is still committed to Australia.
To prove that fact, Alan Mullaly, Mark Fields, Jim Farley and regional execs descended on Sydney for the debut of the new concept. Ford's Australian president and CEO, Bob Graziano, said of the Everest, "Our customers, our employees and Australia can be assured that we're connected to the nation and committed to our customers through terrific products with class-leading technologies."
