2008 Ford Focus SES- Silver with Gray Interior. 116,904 miles and is a daily driver so will have a few more miles before auction ends.

This is my company car and I have owned it since August and thought it would work for our family.  But we have 3 children and the oldest is a little cramped in the back with the two younger children. So unfortunately I will have to sell it and get something a bit bigger.

This has been an outstanding vehicle, is extremely clean, Goodyear tires are like new, vehicle has been well taken care of and is fun to drive. Great handing vehicle. I'm the 2nd owner.  The original owner had all service work, including the new tires, done through a local Ford dealership. Mileage is high due to his drives between Columbia, SC and Greenville, SC multiple times a week. Only flaws is some road rash from the time on the highway. Otherwise the outside is as clean as the inside. Would make a great 2nd vehicle, commuter car or car for a student. The computer is showing an average MPG at 30.

Fully Loaded: Automatic transmission, Power Steering, Power Windows, Power Door Locks, ABS, Driver/Passenger/Side Airbags, AM/FM/CD/MP3/Bluetooth/USB with Microsoft Active SYNC, Aluminum/Alloy Wheels, Goodyear tires, heated mirrors and rear window defogger.

Buyer is responsible for pick up or shipping arrangements but I will be glad to help anyway I can. If you have any questions please ask before you bid. The reserve is set low so if the reserve is reached you will be responsible for payment.  $500 deposit is due within 3 days of auction closing and can be made through PayPal. Cash or Certified Funds will be required before vehicle and title can be released.

Thanks for looking and if you have any questions or need additional pictures let me know.

Ford to announce Mulally retirement, Fields CEO as early as May 1

Mon, 21 Apr 2014

Ford CEO Alan Mulally may be about to announce his long-rumored retirement from the Blue Oval, according to a pair of insiders who spoke to Bloomberg. An official statement on the succession could arrive as soon as May 1. Chief Operating Officer Mark Fields is rumored to step up as the new CEO. The company is said to be readying the announcement soon to ensure an orderly transition of power, according to the insiders.
Mulally's retirement from Ford has been a hot topic for a while. He was seriously rumored last year to be leaving the automaker to take over as the CEO of Microsoft. The board even said at one point that it was okay with them if he stepped down early. However, the CEO maintained he would stay with the business through at least the end of 2014. Fields has been rumored as a frontrunner to take over the top spot at the company since he was promoted to COO.
For the moment, Ford isn't officially confirming any of these plans. "We don't comment on speculation. We do have succession plans in place for our key leadership. We take succession planning very seriously," said Susan Krusel, Ford Global News Manager, to Autoblog.

Ford set to target pre-school market with next F-150 variant

Tue, Jun 17 2014

How do you build a strong group of loyalists from the next generation of American drivers? You start em' young. Ford has taken that lesson to heart, as we can see in the first batch of images of the company's new entry to the pre-school market, the Power Wheels F-150. This particular example was caught returning from testing around Ford's base of operations in Dearborn, MI – covered in tiny little bits of camouflage, too. Now, this could very well end up being a collaboration between Power Wheels and Ford. Then again, it could just be some bored engineers that decided to troll the local congregation of spy photographers, who earlier today captured images of the next Focus RS and SVT Mustang. Whatever it is, it's pretty darn cool. Take a look up top for images of the new Power Wheels F-150.

180,000 new vehicles are sitting, derailed by lack of transport trains

Wed, 21 May 2014

If you're planning on buying a new car in the next month or so, you might want to pick from what's on the lot, because there could be a long wait for new vehicles from the factory. Locomotives continue to be in short supply in North America, and that's causing major delays for automakers trying to move assembled cars.
According to The Detroit News, there are about 180,000 new vehicles waiting to be transported by rail in North America at the moment. In a normal year, it would be about 69,000. The complications have been industry-wide. Toyota, General Motors, Honda and Ford all reported experiencing some delays, and Chrysler recently had hundreds of minivans sitting on the Detroit waterfront waiting to be shipped out.
The problem is twofold for automakers. First, the fracking boom in the Bakken oil field in the Plains and Canada is monopolizing many locomotives. Second, the long, harsh winter is still causing major delays in freight train travel. The bad weather forced trains to slow down and carry less weight, which caused a backup of goods to transport. The auto companies resorted to moving some vehicles by truck, which was a less efficient but necessary option.
