The auto is in very good overall condition. There are 2 parking lot dings on the passenger side rear. In the interior someone cleaned the radio face too enthusiastically and too some of the black paint off. The radio/CD player works perfectly. The tires have less than 2000 miles on them. This is a regular gas auto and has never gotten less than 30 MPG. The oil has been changed at 3000 miles since I have owned the auto and has 1000 miles to go to the next change. The auto may be picked up at my home after the funds clear. There is a clear Illinois Title. The reason for selling is that I can no longer use my left foot to operate the clutch pedal. Ford readying Ranger-based Everest SUV?
Fri, 21 Feb 2014Way back in August, we showed you a Ford concept for the Australian market called the Everest. Now, we can show you that work on the new Ranger-based SUV is well under way.
At this stage, it's still quite clearly a mule (note the misalignment of the front and rear doors), wearing the Ranger's front end and the rump of Ford's overseas Territory crossover. The wheelbase is shorter than a Ranger, according to our spy photographers, which strikes us as somewhat odd for a more passenger-oriented vehicle. Disc brakes should be fitted at all four corners, while the new SUV, which will almost certainly wear the Everest name, should sport a new rear suspension.
In terms of looks, we're expecting the Everest Concept to inform the appearance of the production model. Naturally, there will also be some interior tweaks, particularly around the dashboard, which is covered in these photos.

While the video might lack the show's charismatic hosts, this is an opportunity to see a drag race between a Land Rover Range Rover Sport SVR with 550 horsepower and a Hennessey VelociRaptor with 623 hp. The duel between these two supercharged V8s definitely sounds great. Both rugged models start at the line growling angrily at each other like dogs ready for a fight. You have to watch the clip to see whether the more powerful VelociRaptor feeds on the SVR, though.
