2004 Ford Focus Svt 3 Dr #1508 on 2040-cars
Reston, Virginia, United States
Up for sale is my 2004 SVT focus. I haven't had the car very long but I got a raise and have since decided to order a brand new car. I have currently put 3k miles on it and have had no issues. I explained it up in the conditions part but Ill also list it here. Id rate the car an 8/10. Overall its a great car just has a few flaws, which are to be expected for a 10 year old car with 125k miles. The mirrors are faded, has chips on the hood, a few dings, scratches and what not. It has an area on both front and rear bumper where something happened before I owned the car. Interior is clean as shown. Has wear on the seats but thats pretty typical for these. Mechanically it runs great. It sometimes has a vibration during acceleration that is from the passenger side CV shaft (I replaced it after I tore the boot when I installed the lowering kit, which is when the vibration started. I noticed a loose/worn suspension bushing last week. well, thats out of the way.. here are some things ive done to the car since Ive owned it. -oem mach headlights that were modded -euro grill -35% tint -apex springs and kyb struts -powder coated valve cover -upgraded t-stat housing -AEM intake -new tires -plastidiped oem wheels -all new fluids -new oem motor mounts things recently done: water pump and timing belt brakes front and rear I still have all of the oem parts that I will include with the car. any questions feel free to email me. I have listed everything about the car so no surprises. Feel free to call me if you need any more info or clarification on anything. 571-247-1672 |

Petrolicious pays visit to tuning sensation the Ringbrothers
Fri, 08 Nov 2013We caught up with a few projects from Ringbrothers at SEMA this year: a classic Ford Mustang body rendered in carbon fiber, and a De Tomaso Pantera-based concept that made us swoon.
It's with good timing then, that our friends at Petrolicious have uploaded their newest, well-crafted mini-documentary to the expansive airwaves of the Internet. Here, we meet the brothers Ring in person - Mike and Jim - and see how they've lent they're passion for craftsmanship to their business, along with their surname. A 1964 Ford Fairlane dubbed "Afterburner" and a 1965 Mustang called "Producer" star in this show.
Amazon looking to bring Kindle to your next car?
Mon, 25 Feb 2013Maybe so. The online retailer and digital media monolith recently announced the Amazon Cloud Player, an application for Ford Sync that allows users to stream media from their Amazon Cloud account directly to a Ford vehicle. This foray into automotive technology got the minds at Gigaom.com thinking about what could be next for Amazon. As Kevin Fitchard writes, the logical step is to make audio versions of your Kindle library selections available in your car. As he points out, Amazon has already laid the groundwork for such a move.
Amazon pulled the sheets back on Whispersync for Voice last year. The tech pairs ebooks with an Audible book for a small extra fee, allowing users to either read along with a narrator or switch between audio and text versions on command. Fitchard says it wouldn't be some great leap to apply the same principles to a car, where voice recognition software would allow users to pause or select chapters without ever taking their eyes off of the road.
It all sounds just fine to us, but Amazon hasn't said a thing about such a move. Still, we wouldn't be surprised to see the company come down this road in the near future just the same.
