This is an incredible car! It is fast, fun and very responsive! I will definitely miss this car, but need to move to something a little bigger. It performs incredibly well in Michigan winter conditions - drives great in the snow especially with the new tires on it. It also carries a surprising amount of cargo with the seats folded down - a lot can fit in this little hatchback! With the number of things I've had replaced or repaired on this car in the last year, nothing should go wrong with it for a long time!

The wheels shown with the thinner spokes are the stock SVT wheels that will come with it no matter what. The other wheels are the optional 18” higher offset wheels that you can contact me about if you are interested in them. If you would like more pictures or pictures of specific things, please let me know. I will try to remember to update this as much as possible, but this car will also be listed in a number of different ways so if you want it, make sure you contact me.

Please note that the car does have some flaws including some issues with the paint on the rear bumper, a broken passenger side mirror, and a few minor dents and dings around the car. I do not know of any mechanical issues at all - the car has been very good to me, but as I am not a mechanic, I cannot guarantee anything. Anyone can feel free to come inspect the car ahead of time to determine any other issues it might have or things you might be concerned about, but the car is being sold as-is just like any other car auction. All issues mentioned have been documented in the pictures as well as I can, but please ask for clarification about anything you might be concerned with before placing a bid.

All bids are final and none will be deleted for any reason. If you bid, you are committing to pay your bidding amount if it wins. Upon completion of the auction, a minimum $200 deposit will be required within 24 hours preferably by PayPal. Full payment will be due upon pick-up or upon receipt of shipping information. No person will be allowed to leave with the vehicle and no paperwork will be signed to transfer the title until full payment has been received. Pick-up time or shipping arrangements must be scheduled within 3 days of completion of auction and either one must occur within 7 days of end of auction.

Fallon picks Ford F-150 King Ranch, launches dealership contest

Tue, 01 Apr 2014

New truck! Jimmy Fallon of The Tonight Show has been searching for the perfect new truck for a few weeks now, soliciting help from all corners in the process. Last night, Fallon made the announcement that the Ford F-150 King Ranch - in all of its cowboy glory - had been picked as his big winner.
To add some more spice to a storyline that now dips deeply into the realm of the advertorial, Fallon also announced a contest to see which Ford dealership would get the privilege of selling him the King Ranch. Dubbed "Fingers on a 4x4" The Tonight Show has invited 10 dealer reps from around the country to keep their hands on Jimmy's F-150 for as long as possible. Last salesperson standing wins.
Watch Fallon make his pick and introduce the dealer reps below, and be sure to click on the second video for a live-streaming feed of Fingers on a 4x4 in action (the contest seems to be going strong).

Generation Z prefers Ford, wants better fuel efficiency

Mon, Mar 2 2015

Fear not the future, dear green-car enthusiast. For the youngest drivers like good gas mileage. And they don't really like SUVs or trucks. Breathe easier. About 80 percent of drivers ages 16 to 21, part of what's known as 'Generation Z,' prefer cars more than any other type of larger light-duty vehicle, with about half of that group preferring compact cars, The Detroit News says, citing data company MaritzCX. That company polled about 1,100 prospective young car buyers and found them to put a priority on fuel economy because that group is... well, cheap. To put that demographic's vehicle choice into perspective, just a third of light-duty vehicles sold in the US last year were cars, while the rest were SUVs and trucks. So the future is bright, and possibly devoid of some of the smog we're now seeing. Meanwhile, Ford is the most popular brand among younger drivers, again reflecting that company's more recent emphasis on hybrids, plug-ins and high-fuel-economy gas-burning engines. Ford's US green car sales fell 1.4 percent last year to about 86,500 units (falling C-Max Hybrid demand pulled the American automaker's numbers down), so we'd think that this is very welcome news for the Blue Oval. Why Edmunds took a sledgehammer to its 2015 Ford F-150

Tue, Jan 27 2015

The discussion around repair bills for the aluminum-bodied 2015 Ford F-150 pickup continued from the beginning of last year to the end, and haven't abated; as an aside, some Tesla Model S owners have been shocked at disquieting repair estimates for minor damage to their aluminum wunder-sedans. Edmunds decided to inject some fact into the fray: it bought a $52,000 long-term 2015 F-150 and clouted it with an eight-pound sledgehammer. Twice. The rear of the bedside took the impacts since it couldn't be replaced, it would have to be repaired. To the pickup's credit, the only reason associate editor Travis Langness hit it twice was that the first sledgehammer blow didn't do as much damage as Edmunds wanted. After the second, the visible damage included the two direct impacts, a few creases, and a cracked taillight, so they drove the pickup to Santa Monica Ford to get an estimate, complete with a fictitious story about how the damage occurred and the mercy plea that Langness was paying for the repair out-of-pocket. In Part 2 Langness hits on some of the details with getting the truck fixed, such as the massively expensive taillight and the list of tools Ford recommends dealers have to work on aluminum. But he was promised he'd have his truck back in seven days, and Santa Monica Ford got it back to him in seven days. In Part 3 we get the bill. It's not small, but it's quite a bit less than it could have been if the service manager had charged Edmunds the official labor rate for aluminum. We're not going to spoil it here, so check out the videos above and below for the beginning and the end, and head over to Edmunds for the complete story about how it all happened and some riffing on the repair numbers.
