2002 Focus SVT. Original adult owner. 4th car in family,garaged, excellent condition, no accidents, low 68k miles. Synthetic oil since new, meticulously maintained,never tracked or abused, regularly hand washed and waxed. Quick, super handling, practical hot hatch that came with all available options including the Shaker sound system with powered sub-woofer. Just passed Massachusetts emissions and safety inspection in January. Body in great shape with only very minor blemishes. Alloys are fine and have no curb rash. Interior tidy with no rips or tears and only minimal wear. Car is a blast to drive and averages 24mpg. On trips it does 26-27mpg. Accommodates five passenger with a decent amount of luggage space.The only two issue with the car that I'm aware of are: The driver side seat warmer is not functioning. The fuse is ok, so I'm guessing it's either the switch or heating element that has failed. The second item is the tires. (Pirelli P6's all around). The fronts are fine. The rears passed inspection, but will need replacement within the next year. Maintenance within the past year includes new belts, 02 sensor, and battery. Currently half way through Mobil 1 extended life oil change. Ready to drive and enjoy. The addition of an Alfa Romeo restoration project has put garage space at a premium so reluctantly the SVT will go to a new owner. Please bear in mind that although in excellent condition this is a used car and is not perfect. That being said, a cleaner,better maintained Focus SVT will be difficult to find. The reserve is reasonable, but reflects condition and mileage. In fairness to the auction process please don't ask to have the reserve revealed. Suffice it to say that you would be hard pressed to find a better performing, cleaner car of any make for the money. A bid is legally binding so please have all financing matters in order before placing a bid. Title is clear, clean, and in hand. Chevy Camaro is a good sport, wishes Ford Mustang Happy 50th
Tue, 15 Apr 2014It was 1966 when Chevrolet launched its challenger to the wildly successful Ford Mustang, the Camaro. While the competition between the two brands was already healthy, the arrival of the Camaro set off one of the most intense, model-to-model rivalries in the industry.
That competitive spirit hasn't stopped Chevy and the Camaro from wishing Ford's iconic muscle car a Happy 50th Birthday as the Ford's April 17 anniversary rolls around. These two cars have been linked over the years, and while the rivalry took a break for a few years in the 2000s, today's competition between the Camaro and Mustang is as fierce as it's ever been.
You might recall that this friendliness when it comes to major milestones isn't too rare. Ford put on quite a display for General Motors' hundredth anniversary back in 2008. As the Camaro's fiftieth birthday approaches in 2016, we wouldn't be surprised to see the Mustang sending its best wishes to its Bowtie rival.

Ford dealer loses Super Bowl bet, pays $300K to lucky customers [w/video]
Tue, 11 Feb 2014A Missouri Ford dealership's Super Bowl weekend sale cost it big when the improbable happened. Hutcheson Ford ran a promotion from January 29 to February 1, called the Super Weekend Sale. The gist was, if any customer purchased a vehicle between those dates and either the opening or second-half kickoff of the big game was returned for a touchdown, the dealership would refund the purchase price.
In the dealership's defense, it seemed like a safe bet. According to the mathematicians, there was just a 2.5-percent chance of either half opening with a touchdown return. But that didn't stop Seattle's Percy Harvin from doing his part to ruin Denver's evening, returning the second-half kick for an 87-yard touchdown run. Twelve Hutcheson customers were eligible for refunds thanks to the return, with prices ranging from $10,000 to $55,000, according to Automotive News. The total amount shelled out by the dealership? $300,000.
"At least we're not like that furniture guy that lost $7 million," dealership marketing manager Kathleen Frazier told AN. We think it was a big success." The dealership did take out insurance to cover its losses, meaning the $300K won't come entirely from its pockets.
