If you are in the market for a nice clean Flex this is a great one.  I have sold many of my cars on Ebay over the years and they are always good buys because of  their condition and our meticulous maintenance.  We LOVE this car but no longer need it unfortunately.  Flex's are really unique in their design and size,  the roominess and comfort are amazing.  The seats are large and very comfortable and the leg room for all three rows is unmatched.  In the pictures the 2nd row leg room can be seen well and thats with the front row seats almost all the way back.   They are also very quiet and ride great, the ultimate highway cruising family vehicle in my opinion,  kind of like an old school station wagon with all the modern technology and quality.

The rear seats can be configured in many ways for plenty of cargo space and the front passenger seat folds flat for really long items.

Its also fitted with a Blue Ox hidden baseplate for towing behind an RV.  We ended up only towing it twice for a total of about 600 miles  but it tows beautifully.  Also comes with a set of OEM foul weather floor mats.

New tires have about 1500 miles ago and brand new brake pads, rotors and front calipers a few hundred miles ago.

Front and rear air conditioning, power windows, power mirrors, power door locks, power liftgate, remote keyless entry, cruise control, and a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel.  Leather seats,  leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, auto-dimming interior mirror, and a stereo with a CD player and an auxiliary audio input jack. 18-inch aluminum wheels,  automatic headlights, an Easy Fuel capless fuel filler, and a keyless entry pad.

Fog lights, heated exterior mirrors, . Dual-zone automatic climate control, a 10-way power driver's seat, 6-way power front passenger's seat, and heated front seats,   satellite radio, universal garage door opener.

Power-adjustable pedals, and memory for the driver's settings, power rear liftgate, 110-volt power inverter and outlet.

Glass-panel Vista Roof, and second-row bucket seats separated by a center console.

The warranty still has about 2 1/2 years or 20000 miles remaining, whichever comes first.  Its not 100% coverage but its an upgraded plan that is quite comprehensive.  I can email you a copy of it if you wish.   I am including the transfer fee in the sale price.

You are welcome to see and drive the Flex  in person.  Its located near the Chesapeake Bay Bridge on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions.  Auction may be ended early if the car sells through other sources and the mileage may increase slightly.  We are okay with shipping as long as you make the arrangements.   Comes with original owners manuals, 1 remote keyfob and key.  We can help deliver within parts of DC, Baltimore, Delaware area.   Good Luck!!!

Hertz goes Dutch with Ford Focus ST-H

Wed, 23 Oct 2013

Want to take a performance car for a ride? Hertz can make that happen. Spin by your local rental location (depending, of course, on availability) and you can take out a Dodge Challenger, Ford Mustang, Chevy Camaro, even a Corvette as part of the Adrenaline Collection. Hertz's Dream Cars lineup even includes Porsches and AMGs. But the really interesting stuff is what you can't get anywhere else: cars built specifically for Hertz.
Back in 1966, Hertz had Ford cook up a special run of Mustang GT350H models in back with gold stripes. It became an icon in and of itself, and in 2008 Hertz had a new batch of Shelby GT-Hs made. Earlier this year, Hertz contracted Penske to deliver another fleet of specially-built Mustangs you can rent. But if your travel plans include a trip to the Netherlands, Hertz has a completely different type of specially-prepared Ford on offer for you.
Back in August, Ford delivered a couple of Focus STs made specifically for Hertz in Holland. Now it's expanded that fleet even further. The Ford Focus ST-H features the same 252-horsepower 2.0-liter turbo four (and everything else) as the standard Focus ST, but gets that signature black exterior with gold stripes and a black leather interior with Recaro buckets. So in case a trip to Amsterdam doesn't hold enough thrills, now you can throw a hot hatch into the mix as well. Scope out the press release (in Dutch - isn't that weird?) below.

How tariffs in China could cause a meltdown in the American South

Sun, Aug 25 2019

While BMW is clearly a German company, the crossovers that are exceedingly important to it are actually made in Spartanburg, South Carolina. And more than that, the Spartanburg plant (physically located in the town of Greer) is where the corporate know-how and capability for those vehicles is concentrated. These are the vehicles – specifically, the BMW X3, X4, X5, X6, X7 – that drove record growth for the company in 2018, according to BMW. But whatÂ’s most notable about BMW Group Plant Spartanburg, given current events, is that according to the U.S. Department of Commerce it was the largest automotive exporter by value for the fifth year running in 2018. ThatÂ’s worth emphasizing: largest automotive exporter by value. Not GM. Not Ford. BMW. And where might one assume that more than a few of those X vehicles are shipped to? China. Some 360 miles southwest of Spartanburg is Mercedes-Benz U.S. International, Inc., in in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama. It started building vehicles in 1997. Since then, Daimler AG has invested in excess of $5.5 billion in the facility. It manufactures the crossover now known as the GLE, formerly the ML-Class. It also makes the GLE coupe and GLS. Daimler describes the Tuscaloosa facility as “the traditional home of SUV production” for those vehicles. When it reported its global 2018 sales, Daimler noted that on a global basis SUVs account “for more than a third of all Mercedes-Benz sales.” According to the Chinese finance ministry, on December 15th the Chinese government will impose a 25% tariff on automobiles (and a 5% tariff on auto parts) from the U.S. Certainly this is going to have a direct effect on the sales of vehicles that are manufactured in the U.S. and exported to China. BMW and Mercedes are going to take it on the chin for the vehicles that they make in plants that they invested in so heavily in the U.S. Which could potentially mean that people in places like Greer, South Carolina, and Vance, Alabama, are going to find themselves in the crosshairs of the combatants. Soo too could Lincoln, which produces vehicles in places like Louisville, Kentucky (Navigator), Chicago, Illinois (Aviator) and Flat Rock, Michigan (Continental). Although the Tesla Gigafactory 3 is rapidly nearing completion in Shanghai, it is worth noting that vehicles built in Fremont, California, are being sold in China in numbers that donÂ’t make Musk unhappy.

1964 Ford GT40 prototype sells for $7M

Mon, 14 Apr 2014

Seven-figure Ferraris are not horribly rare. Heck, an eight-figure Ferrari isn't a rare occurrence. Between modern masterpieces like the Enzo and more classic offerings, cracking the million-dollar mark isn't a particularly tall order for the cars from Maranello. For a Ford, though, it's a big deal.
Now, this is not just some rare Mustang. This is a GT40, the car that Henry Ford II commissioned to whip Enzo Ferrari around a track in France. As far as the Le Mans-winning racers go, they don't get much rarer than this one. Sold at the Mecum Auctions in Houston, this is one of the prototypes, meaning it's one of the very first GT40s ever built. That makes its $7 million winning a bid, a record for on-air coverage of the auction, a pretty darn impressive figure.
You can watch the auction below, but first, take a look back at our original story on this rare Blue Oval.
