This Fiesta was purchased by us in it's current condition with a Clean and Clear Title. The vehicle will have to pass a salvage inspection before being registered for the road. Condition - We will do our best to visually describe what this vehicle requires. There is no way to determine exactly what a vehicle needs to bring it back until one gets into the actual project of repairing it so please understand that our description very well may not and probably won't list everything that needs to be done. Now as to this vehicle:

exterior - The vehicles exterior has damage to the right fender, headlights, hood, front bumper cover, radiator and a/c condenser. The reinforcement bar is missing. Many parts are off the vehicle and some of them are good(pictured). All the rims and glass are in excellent condition. The matching tires are Kumho Solus (185/60/15). The rear tires have 50% tread remaining while the fronts have 30% left. Three hubcaps have have light scratches.

drive train - The vehicle runs and drives great but has no radiator.

interior- The interior is in excellent condition. All functions work perfectly. Both Curtain and both left side airbags have deployed and the front seat belts are inoperative. The traction and abs lights are on in the dash.

A 10% deposit of the final price is due within three days of the close of the auction. The balance due is required within 7 days from the close of the auction and must be in the form of a bank wire transfer or cashiers check.

By law, tax must be collected from New York State residents.

Ford acquires Livio to bolster connectivity biz

Ford Motor Company has announced the acquisition of Livio, a Ferndale, MI-based software development company best known for aftermarket in-car connectivity devices, but also as a supplier of technology for proprietary systems for automakers. Livio, co-founded by Sigal and Massimo Baldini, will be a wholly owned subsidiary of Ford Global Technologies.
"With the additional expertise Livio provides us, Ford intends to continue to lead the next generation of in-car connectivity with technology advancements that give consumers more options to access their devices on the go," said Paul Mascarenas, chief technical officer and vice president, Ford Research and Innovation, in a statement.
Ford is clearly trying to beef up its in-house tech capability around telematics and device connectivity. While the Blue Oval has been a leader in these areas with SYNC and MyFord Touch in terms of getting the systems into as many cars as possible, the execution of the applications have been criticized for glitches.

Update: We spoke with a Ford representative who said that owners will be notified by mail during the week of January 16 . Dealers will also have the fix available at the same time. Owners can bring in their vehicles to dealers for an evaluation in the mean time. The main text has been updated to reflect this. The Basics: Ford is recalling 680,872 2013-2016 Ford Fusions, 2015-2016 Ford Mondeos, and 2013-2015 Lincoln MKZ s for an issue with front driver-side and passenger-side seat belt pretensioners. The Problem: The seat-belt pretensioners did not have sufficient insulation applied. When the pretensioners are activated, the heat generated can cause the cables connected to the belts to separate, which in turn can prevent the seat belts from effectively restraining the occupant. This can lead to injuries. Injuries/Deaths: Ford reports two accidents and two injuries have occurred that are related to this recall. The fix: A dealer technician will inject an insulation coating around the pretensioner. This should effectively keep the heat away from the cables, ensuring the seat belt will properly restrain the user in a collision. If you own one: Affected owners will be notified by mail on the week of January 16. Dealers will have the fix available that week, and owners will be able to bring in their vehicles for the fix to be implemented free of charge. Related Video:
