1965 Ford Falcon Ranchero

Automatic, upgraded to 302 Engine, 5 Lug Wheels, Dual Exhaust

If your looking for a concourse vehicle or trailer queen, this shouldn't be your choice. This car would be considered a rat rod, project car or driver.
It has the desirable V8 engine, but changed to from original 289 to 302,  Automatic Transmission, 5 Lug Wheels, and Dual Exhaust.
New gauges installed including voltmeter, oil pressure, and temperature.
New lighting harness for headlights, tail lights and turn signals. Horn circuit re-wired and repaired.
Bench Seat recently redone and in great shape. Dash repainted.
New spare wiring harness installed with new fuse box and extra spare circuits for future use. New Fog Light with high and low beam installed
Engine runs strong with no smoke what so ever, brakes are good, no pulling, transmission shifts good with new modulator installed.

Sure there are areas of bondo from past repairs, but no rust visible in any areas, some paint bubbles on passenger side.
Paint is fair, body could use a re-sand and re-paint, may have been blue in another life. Will need new weatherstripping, but not leaking at the moment.
Headliner needs to be replaced, bows are there. Speedometer is working.
Remember this is not a $20,000 Ranchero, but a fairly priced truck, with a low reserve, that could be used haul while being customized to your liking, or just being left alone.

I'm paying $100 a year for insurance at this time, you can't do better than that!  A clear Florida Title in my name.

Buyer responsible for shipping, no warranty, all sales final.
$500 PayPal deposit required within 24 hours after auction ends.
Balance Due within 3 days upon close of auction, either by cash in person or certified bank check. Car and title will not be released until check is verified or cleared.

Thanks for looking!

Ford spotted testing new Focus RS at the Nurburgring

Thu, 26 Jun 2014

Ford is expected to be launching a revised version of the Focus ST soon, but the latest snapshots from our spy photographers at the Nürburgring suggest that the Blue Oval is already working on an even more potent example: the new Focus RS.
Though the partially disguised test mule is wearing an ST badge (along with a Dewey sticker that makes us wonder what adventures Huey and Louie are up to and what manner of duck-tail rear spoiler they may be wearing), there are several tell-tale signs that something else is afoot here. There's a larger front air dam, bigger brake calipers, dual exhaust tips (instead of the central exhaust on the ST) and a reshaped wing protruding from the trailing edge of the roof.
That may all be well and fine, but what's under the hood? We don't know yet for sure, but word has it that Ford is preparing to port over the 2.3-liter turbo four offered in the new Mustang, where it packs 305 horsepower and almost as much torque - potentially retuned to produce even more for the top-of-the-line Focus, which could channel it all to the front wheels like the last model or pack an all-wheel drive system. The Global C platform on which the Focus is based does, after all, also underpin AWD models like the Ford Escape and Lincoln MKC.

Project Ugly Horse: Part VIII

Now With More EcoBoost
There's an EcoBoost 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder in there somewhere, and it's headed straight for Ugly Horse.
For the second time in my life, I'm staring at an engine in the back of a truck with no concept of how to get it safely into the garage by my lonesome. The first time this happened, I dragged home a $300 International 345 V8 in the back of my Scout Terra only to discover that the bounds of my manliness terminated well before my ability to muscle that 800-pound cast iron block out of the pickup bed.

NHTSA closes Ford F-Series Super Duty steering probe without recall

Wed, 05 Feb 2014

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's investigation into 2008 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty pickups, which was originally opened last year, has now ended without a recall. NHTSA was looking into steering failures on some 336,000 trucks.
The issue rested with the steering gear - NHTSA received five complaints of failures - which was redesigned in 2005. According to the report on the matter, investigators "found evidence of broken sector shaft gear teeth and piston damage consistent with incidents of single event overload."
NHTSA investigators, however, "found no evidence of fatigue or material property defects in any of the fractures. Analysis of complaint rates by vehicle build month showed no patterns indicating potential manufacturing quality issues and no difference before and after Ford introduced design changes to the input shaft and sector shaft seals in July 2007 to address potential leak concerns," according to the report, obtained by The Detroit News.
