1964 Ford Falcon Wagon - "some assembly required" - I purchased this car as an easy project car.... The outside body is very straight and no rust (which is why I bought this car) There is evidence that the floor pans have been repaired sometime it he past, yet they are solid and only have one easy to repair floor pan small rust spot. The car was painted in recent history - it is a nice smooth finish, but the metal flake within the paint has a leopard or modeled look so it will need to be resprayed. The car is completely disassembled and ready to be repainted..... All of the parts are included with this car - bumpers, grill, lights, windows, trim, interior (back seat in great shape - front seat needs some upholstery - upholstery is a factory upgrade material; tan with little bull heads). You will need to purchase rubber seal kit (available on line) to reassemble the car after paint - also you will need to purchase carpet kit, headliner and either restore or replace interior door panels.

The 170  6 cylinder engine runs great but has a mechanical noise present - the car came with a new timing chain (in a box) so it is possible that the previous owner had identified the source of the noise. Prior to disassembly, the car was represented as a daily driver. Brakes work great - car is drivable, but cannot be legally without windows. Easy to load for shipment - all of the parts for the car will be secured inside the vehicle for shipment (buyer pays shipping and assumes complete responsibility for car once it is loaded).

Ford looks to protect logo from Toronto mayor followers

Fri, 15 Nov 2013

One is a member of the Detroit Three and the maker of the Mustang, Fusion, Explorer and F-150. The other is an admitted loudmouthed, drunk-driving, crack-smoking mayor in Canada. Unfortunately for one, it shares its name with the other. Yes, Ford Motor Company is going to great lengths to keep its iconic Blue Oval logo from being appropriated by supporters of besieged Toronto mayor Rob Ford.
At a United Way event earlier this week, some of Mayor Ford's fans showed up with shirts that featured the automaker's logo with the words "Ford Nation," on them. Naturally, Mayor Ford signed them. FoMoCo was quick to issue an unhappy statement:
"Ford did not grant permission for use of its logo. We view it as an unauthorized use of our trademark and have asked it to be stopped," spokesperson Jay Cooney said. There was also a statement from Ford of Canada's Twitter account after a user alerted the company:

2015 Ford Mustang production to begin on July 14? Not quite, says Ford

Thu, 10 Jul 2014

Mustang6g.com believes that it has unlocked start date for 2015 Ford Mustang production citing a Ford dealer communiqué. According to the report, job one on the 2015 hardtop will allegedly start in just a few days, on July 14, although units that are known as "OK to Buy" won't enter production until September 9. The cars built between those dates are most likely final pre-production cars for the executive test fleet, and will likely include the cars we'll be driving at the media launch.
Sun worshippers, meanwhile, would seem to have a longer wait. Job one on the droptop supposedly isn't slated to start until September 14, with production models starting on October 27. As is the case with the hardtop, these final pre-pros are for the execs and media to test, while actual dealer orders will come from vehicles made after the October date.
After speaking to Ford, though, we wouldn't put a great deal of stock in those dates as reported. We reached out to Said Deep, Ford's North American Product Communications Manager.

Exceptionally rare '65 Ford GT40 Roadster prototype up for auction

Sat, 14 Jun 2014

Think of mid-engined supercars and your mind is bound to gravitate towards Europe, but the United States has been known to make a handful from time to time - exceptional vehicles from the likes of Vector, SSC, Mosler, Hennessey, and Saleen. But long before any of those came around, Ford famously became obsessed with beating Ferrari at its own game, leading to the development of the iconic GT40.
The story is well known, sending Ford to the checkered flag at Le Mans four times in a row in the late 1960s. Ford and Shelby also built over 100 for public consumption, but just four of them were roadsters. Of those only one remains in original condition, and now that exceedingly rare example going up for auction.
Consigned to RM Auctions for its mid-August sale during Pebble Beach weekend in Monterey, California, this 1965 model is the first GT40 Roadster built. It was used as a development and demonstration vehicle for Ford and Shelby. Carroll Shelby himself drove Henry Ford II in this very car during one of many test and demo events, this time held for Ford's board of directors in Los Angeles.
