1964 Ford Falcon Sprint Convertible on 2040-cars
Killen, Alabama, United States
1964 Ford Falcon Sprint Convertible. Only 4276 of the Falcon Sprint Convertible with factory 4 speed, 260 V8, bucket seats and console made. Original motor, transmission and rear end. Motor has been rebuilt and bored 30 over. Two barrel carb with electric points. Still has generator. Still has original tack mounted on dash. No air conditioner and no power steering. Was taken completely apart and placed on a rotisserie and sanded top and bottom in 2010. Had one little rust spot lower right quarter panel and was replaced with a patch panel. New top, new interior, new dash pad, new carpet and new windshield. All new rubber seals on windshield and doors. All chrome has been refinished. I have the original 13 inch wheels and wire hub caps that came with the car when new. I have put 14 inch smoothies on the car, they just looked better than the 13’s. Many new parts just too many to list. I have lots of pictures of car during restoration, and will be glad to send via email if requested. |

Ford names Lincoln chief as North American president following Nair's departure
Thu, Feb 22 2018Ford announced yesterday that its North American president Raj Nair would no longer be working for the company due to "inappropriate behavior." As a result, the company needed fill that gaping vacancy. The new North American president and Ford Group vice president will be Kumar Galhotra, and his term in the new role will start on March 1. Galhotra will remain the group vice president and chief marketing officer for Lincoln through March, meaning he's the head of the luxury brand. He's had this position since 2014. Before that, he was vice president of engineering for all of Ford. With Galhotra's promotion, a number of internal promotions follow. Joy Falotico, current chairman, CEO and group vice president of Ford's credit division will fill Galhotra's position, and Dave McClelland, vice president of marketing for Ford Asia Pacific, will fill her role. Other shuffling at Ford includes Stewart Rawley's promotion to vice president for Ford North America and chief operating officer. He is the current vice president for strategy at Ford. Ford China's chairman and CEO John Lawler will take Rawley's old role, and Cathy O'Callaghan will take over Lawler's job at Ford China, but not until June 1. O'Callaghan is currently vice president, corporate controller and chief financial officer for global markets at Ford. Related Video:
2015 Ford F-150 claims segment's best payload, towing ratings
Mon, 29 Sep 2014While we are set to drive the new, 2015 Ford F-150 in the coming days, there's a big piece of news on the latest-generation of the Blue Oval's bread-and-butter pickup coming out of Dearborn, and it focuses on the truck's hauling and towing abilities.
The new F-150 will have a maximum payload of 3,300-pounds (V8 models), and, perhaps more importantly, a 12,200-pound tow rating (EcoBoost V6 models), which for the first time are compliant with the Society of Automotive Engineer's J2807 standards. Those best-in-class figures are significant feathers in Ford's cap as the Detroit Three continue duking it out for the title of top pickup.
"As founding members of the SAE trailer towing committee, we will meet SAE trailer towing standards," Ford's Aaron Miller told Autoblog.
